Asto Wamah has done so much for me!I went to Asto Wamah for the first time this summer and I loved it! The staff was very friendly and helped to make sure that each camper was comfortable and happy, the activities were really a lot of fun, the food was delicious, and all together it was a fun, happy atmosphere to be in.

Sent all 3 boys this year. They are well cared for, have diverse activities, and the value is outstanding.

As a parent, I want to make sure that I send my boys to places where they are safe, cared for, and have the option to partake in a bit of fun. I never did camp as a child, so have no perspective and wasn't leaning one way or the other. Camp Asto Wamah fulfilled my parental needs on a number of levels: (a) they are one of the only accredited camps (by ACA) in my price range, (b) their director is a former educator, and (c) their staff was very diverse ethnically, while not a requirement for me, was helpful for my children who felt very comfortable (they too are multi-racial). I engaged in a bunch of reference checks on the camp and couldn’t have been more pleased. My eldest loved it so much the first time (the one week session), he went back for the two week the following year. Now my youngest will attend the one week in 2016. Great job!

My son did the co-ed one-week session at Asto Wamah last year. He did not want to go, so I didn't have high hopes but when we picked him up, he was so full of excitement and love for the camp, he was mad he couldn't spend more time there. This year we signed him up for the two-week session and the frequent updates on the camp blog assure me he's having another great year. The camp is extremely well run, clean, friendly, and beautiful. In fact, I didn't want to leave when I got there! It's also a great value and the food got high marks. A classic camp experience that kids will remember their whole lives. My son made friends there last year that he's kept in touch with all year, and I'm sure he'll make even more long-lasting relationships this year. A++++++

Camp Asto Wamah has given me a place to escape. A place to get away from the real world. It is a second home to me and I love going every year. The counselors are VERY and nice and they actually care. They do everything they can to make sure you have a wonderful experience. Going to camp makes me laugh, smile, have fun and remember why the internet, video games and electronics don't mean anything. I have learned that what really matters is meeting new people, creating memories that will stay with you for a lifetime, and making the most of every individual day. I love this camp more than any other because the campers have good hearts, as do the counselors. I can't forget to mention Nancy. She is the BEST Camp Director. She knows everyone's name and makes my camp experience comical, organized and memorable. She is flexible and proactive. I highly recommend this camp for every child. Camp Asto Wamah makes me be a better person as result of the many lessons I learned over my summers there.

I was a camper at Wamah from age 8 to 15, then worked as a counselor there for 4 more years. My sister and I still joke with eachother about going back there to work for the summer. Nancy is a great director and I still speak to the friends I made there. I highly recommend this camp!

I went to CCCCAW for 8 years as a camper and 3 years as staff. I'm now on the camp committee. It's the greatest place in the world for kids to learn life long values as well as make life long friends.

This was my first year at Camp Asto Wamah and I was so nervous that I wouldn`t make any friends. But I was wrong. I made thousands and millions of new friends. I was also worried about the food. I was worried I would come home fat. But I was also wrong. The food was actually my favarat part of the day. If you are Jewish like me, you do not have to worry. The only thing is you don`t sing before the meal and before night. The rest of the songs are fun and not religious at all.

Camp Asto Wamah is a great place to meet new friends and to have a new home for 2 or 1 weeks. The best part of camp was the songs, I nearly drove my family crazy. Nancy is a caring and awesome camp director she makes the stay easy and is well organized. Taking part in evening actives gave me a chance to meet new people from different cabins and all the staff. I loved taking part in the talent show my cabin did a hilarious Peanut Butter skit. Lastly was the beautiful Lake Columbia where we would go swimming twice a day once were we would have swimming lessons and another time for a free swim. Sign up for Camp Asto Wamah and you will have the best time ever!

Camp Asto Wamah is the best enviroment for a young child to experience; the staff is very social with the campers and as a staff member I know that all my co-workers dont only think of the kids as campers, but as great friends as well. Boating, swimming, tennis, and archary are only some of the great activities that we offer. There are so many things to do that you are never bored, and never want to leave. Its a great place to spend the summer and I love working there.

Camp Asto Wamah is amazing! I spent about 10 summers there, and experienced it as both a camper and a counselor. Nancy Maclean (camp director) creates a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. I can't imagine anyone rating Wamah as anything less than a 5 in each category!!

As a teenager i loved each and every summer i spent at Camp Asto Wamah. I was a counselor for 2 summers, and i also worked in the kitchen. The counselors are super attentive, understanding and knowledgeable. Columbia Lake is sparkling, and pristine! I can't wait to send my own kids for summers that they will surely cherish!

This was my 4th year ar asto wamah. I go for 4 weeks every summer and I love it! Nancy (the camp director) has alot of patience. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. The camp is located on a beautiful lake called Columbia lake. I live in columbia(where the town is located) and almost everybody I know has gone there. Everybody loves it. The are kids there that have traveled across the country to go to this camp, and also from India and France! The food is amazing! My favorite part of camp has to be the tower on the lake. It is this tall platform that you can jump off. They also have rowboating, canoeing, and sailing. During the session they have talent night, campfire, trackmeet, and in the girls session they have Banquet! The cabins are very nice with screened in windows and bunk beds. The two week sessions go by so fast. It never feels like you are there for that long because everybody treats you like family! I would strongly recomend this camp to anyone!

This camp is amazing. It has everything, sports, boating, arts and crafts, programs. What else can I say. I went there 7 years as a camper and now I want to be on staff. They have the greatest staff out of any camp I have ever been to. There is one male staff member who they call SweenDogg...Oh my goodness, he's the best ever. Every camp should have one "SweenDogg" in it. Without him, it just wouldn't be the same. I don't know if you can tell or not, but I highly recommend this camp to any potential camper/parent thinking about it. You better get your application in soon though, because they don't advertise, and it's only word of mouth...IT FILLS UP FAST!!!

It's pretty cheap camp wise... meaning it's a low price for such an awesome experience. I've went for five years as a camper, and now I'm about to become staff. You'll love the staff and the campers, and the director Nancy is absolutely Super Woman in disguise.
