Camp Kennybrook is my 3 children’s favorite place - it’s their summer home where they have formed amazing friendships, participate in a variety of activities and create special memories each year. Kindness, teamwork, healthy competition, creativity, loyalty, independence and the importance of traditions are just some of the values they have learned there. The Landman family provides the best experience for their campers each summer!

My kids have been going to Kennybrook for years and they count down the days (and minutes!) to every summer! Each summer is better than the last, and they have made lifelong friends. Kennybrook truly is their second home, and the Landmans take incredible care of them each summer.

Horrible. I personally hate this game, a bunch of snotty, americans who are preppy, rude, and spoiled. As someone who was in the camp, the girls who were in my cabin kept whispering things about me to eachother, and the kids there hook up. If you like american white- washed spoiled girls who are obbessed with taylor swift, lululemon go ahead. But, its not camp anymore. Its pure bullying. As someone who is not spoiled I personally hated it, everyone there had nikes, and thousands of them. They kept judging me on what I was wearing. It was such a horrible camp. Dont go. Also, it was hard for me to fit in with the girls, afterall they were talking about what brands they got their shoes from, and what kind of makeup they have. It was horrible. The staff knew there was people hooking up behind the gym, and barely cared. Its a camp not a club. JUst a bunch of tpyical preppy americans who have no tastes of style, nor have a unique personality. Dont go, if you want your child to be unique.

I was really nervous about sending my girls to sleepaway camp, especially after Covid. From the first minute, the Landmans were great about getting back to me and answering any questions I had. Camp Kennybrook has a small, close-knit family feel to it and my daughters were welcomed into the family with open arms. They met amazing people, tried new activities, played endless exciting games and sports, and had an overall fun time. They can’t wait to go back!

I had no idea the impact that Camp Kennybrook would have on my children. Having never gone to camp as a child, it sounded like a fun thing that I was happy they were interested in. But I really had no idea of the depth, connections and life altering experience it actually would be for them. It’s so much more than just a 7 week camp. It’s life long skills, friendships and experiences they will take with them forever. It’s going on my daughter’s 7th year and my son’s 3rd, and their love of CK is just as strong, it really is their second home

I did not grow up going to sleepaway camp, Kennybrook was recommended by a family member. Small and caring. Owners and directors are accessible and available. Very personal touch. My son fell during a game of tag and the OWNER accompanied him to the ER and waited with him for several hours, calling and texting me the whole time. My kids have the time of their lives here every summer. Incredible value. Highly recommended and counting down the days until I can send my third child!

I worked as a counselor/lifeguard at Kennybrook for 4 years and had some of the most amazing summers of my life. Never having been to sleepaway camp before as a kid, I was definitely nervous but within just a few days I felt like I had known everyone forever. I would definitely recommend working at Kennybrook for anyone who is considering it!!

My children attended the camp for a few years. The camp facilities, staff and feel of camp has deteriorated immensly since the owner passed away. His son and daughter took over and they are both horrible uncaring people who only care about money and NOT the well being of the campers and staff. They cover up campers medical issues, mold in bunks and it has become unsafe! Bottom of the barrel!!

For a kid, these camp provides all one could want and more for a summer getaway from parents. After attending this camp for a number of years as a camper, one starts to recognize more negative that exist than positive. The camp is in need of some major reconstruction. The two story bunk housing for oldest female campers is extremely unsafe. A shower stall had fallen into a lower bunk through the ceiling above and the solution was the patch it up, and hold it up using chains that were to hang precariously above a young teens bed. Additionally, the camp is extremely tiny in population which has its benefits but also lends itself to lot of cliqueness and exclusion. I witnessed first hand how many eager campers stopped coming way before it was time for their camper career to end because of this. Not to say that there are no positive or that I was miserable for all my summers.

Advertisement of the camp are lies. Owner and upper staff don't care about the campers, counselors, and foreigner workers safety and concerns. Owners rather pocket money than put it back into camp improvements. Hidden damages and mold in cabins where children sleep. This camp need to be under investigation of the American camp Associations, Health department and the US Department of Labor Bureau.

Not at all happy with this camp experience for my children. Staff very clique and uncaring. Male group leaders and most staff out **** in town every nite and then come back to camp. Original owner passed away and left camp for his grown children to run and since then has gone WAY down hill..staff is poorly trained and new owners make very poor decisions. I heard from my kids of extremely unsafe situations at camp last summer which were not addressed by staff or directors when brought to their attention. They like to say they are a "family" but its not...LOOK ELSEWHERE and dont take the risk with your kids summer

the people who say it's "amazing" are probably people who are favored by staff or are not the kids being left out of the many cliques at this camp. the counselors are really good for the most part, but the group leaders are lacking in compassion and you'd be extremely surprised to find out that some of them are actually mothers..very scary. the lady who hires the staff is... creepy, to say the least. she has a weird way of interacting with the kids, especially the girls. the owners of the camp mean well but things started to go way downhill when the real owner passed away. it's not the best camp but i guess it's not the worst. most of the kids only go back to see their friends and do not care about the activities at all, which is fine. some of the counselors get mad about them not taking it seriously, but it's CAMP. you don't need to take it seriously!!

My son worked as a counselor here in 2011. He always had favorable things to say about the kids, the other counselors, and the owners. He had a great time, and, according to the photos I saw, as well as my son's account, so did the campers. There are a lot of activities and special events, and camp spirit seemed high. They offer a good mix of sports and creative opportunities, as well as optional trips. The cabins look spacious enough and clean. I wish I'd known about this camp when my kids were young enough to go as campers!

I have been going to Kennybrook for more than 8 years. It is truly my favorite place to be. I have made my best of friends here and will have memories that last a lifetime. I don't know what I would do if I spent a summer not at CK. I look up to my counselors and create special bonds with them each summer. I know I could always turn to one of them if I ever had a problem. I can't wait to go back next summer and have the time of my life. Although the facilities aren't perfect, it doesn't matter as long as you are with people you love. Everyone there makes you feel at home and welcome. You know almost everyone on camp and have a special relationship with each staff member and camper. I will remember the moments I have cherished at CK for the rest of my life.

I just toured this camp and wanted to rate it even though my son did not go here. First, they do not have a lake like they say in their brochure. It is ONLY a pond. Second, their baseball and soccer fields are TINY! Third, when I did the tour, I went into one of the boys bunks and saw three boys by themselves. I couldn't believe it and mentioned it to the tour guide who immediately became very flustered and told me that she didn't know how that happened. Also, I couldn't believe that for boys going into 6th grade they have arts and crafts almost every day!

i've been going to this camp for 6 years now, i can honestly say that this camp has been such a huge influence on my life and has made me the person i am today. i cant think of a place where i feel more at home and happy. the staff is so caring and the owners know your name and it makes you feel like you really belong. over the years iv made many friends here and i LOVE IT. the bunks may not be perfect, but its the imperfections that make it so special. the activities are so different and fun! i can honestly say...if you send your kids there/ decide to go there you will have the time of your life. PLEASE dont listen to the bad reviews. this camp couldnt be more perfect.

my niece had spent a few summers at this camp and some of the stories she told us about the staff kind of left a bad taste in our mouths,(counselors coming back drunk, counselors "hooking up" where the kids could see)but the camp directors assured us that these things would be rectified. but then she came home this summer and was upset because camp had changed. it wasnt camp anymore, that the new head of girls side had ruined it for her and she did not want to return. my niece knew way to much about the camps personal drama and on top of it her favorite councilor had gotten fired for reason that still do not make sense to anyone, someone stole her car, and she was fired for that. when asked her if the drunkenness had subsided and she told us sort of but some still counselors got away with it and that the person that was supposed to taking care of theses issues was more worried about her personal problems...needless to say that was her last summer.

This is my daughters 2nd summer at Kennybrook and she is having the time of her life again. The Landman family is wonderful and are involved in EVERY aspect of camp life. My daughters counselors are wonderful and have been at Kennybrook since they were kids. The facilities are not GLAMOROUS but they are more than adequate. If you are sending your children to have a real camp experience this is the place. My daughter loves the food and she is very picky the dining room is clean and the food is fresh. There is MORE than enough to occupy the kids and judging from what we just saw on visiting day the kids are VERY happy there. We will be sending our daughter there for a long time to come.

This camp is amazing I am not even kidding. This is going to be my 4th summer there and I can't wait!! The counselors are really really nice. The facilities are pretty nice, at least in my opinion. Each year during the school year, a new part of the camp is renovated. This year they are renovating the tennis courts and some landscaping. Pretty much any camp nicer than CK, is JAPPY beyond belief and IS NOT CAMP. The activities are really fun, and there is something for everyone. As you get older, more activities are available to you. For personal attention, you get a lot. The owners know your name and your background and family, the counselors and group leaders really help you when you have a problem. I definitely think that this camp is worth the price. Everyone is so friendly and there really aren't any cliques and all of the campers are welcome and nice to new ones. I highly suggest this camp. You will make friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

I went to Kennybrook for 5 summers and they were the 5 greatest summers of my life. The friends, experiences and memories I took away from Kennybrook are something I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my life. I’m a guy and I will openly admit that on the last day of every summer at Kennybrook I was in tears. I would do anything to go back for a summer with all my old friends just one more time. There is nothing like being a camper at Kennybrook and anyone who passes up the opportunity is missing out on a golden experience. Everything about Kennybrook from the incredible staff to the fun filled activities only contributes to Kennybrook’s overall perfection. I wouldn’t trade my experiences at Kennybrook for the world. Parents please, don’t let your child miss out on such an incredible opportunity. I promise, anyone who goes here will not regret it.

I dont know who just left this message, but they cant be talking about Kennybrook. everything they said was wrong. First of the grounds are all new, they redo a new facility every summer. Second there are about 8 kids in a bunk to 2-3 staff members, which is great. Most camps its 12 kids for 1-2 staff. Third the return rate is amazing, where I haveh eard they are shut out now for kids and even staff. People are being turned away as so many want to go. They also just got a new website, check it out. I cant wait to go back, we just had our staff reunion, and there were so many of us there. It really brings us all together forever.

This camp had decent staff and the activities were absolutely nothing I haven't seen before. The place really needs a face lift and one of the counselors forgot my name on the 5th day I was there. The counselor to camper ratio was crappy in the cabins so there was not much personal attention. Bottom Line: There are waaaay better overnight camps for the same amount of money.

This will be my 9th summer at Kennybrook - 7 summers were spent as a camper and this will be my 2nd summer as a counselor. Kennybrook has left a permanent mark on my heart and I have no idea what my life would be like without camp. This place is truly my comfort zone - a place where lifetime friendships and memories were formed - and a place where I have grown as a person. I've seen camp from both sides of the spectrum, which really makes my appreciation for Kennybrook more special. Parents, send your children here. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Oh my god, last summer was my first summer as a counselor, and im coming back. Ive already heard that there are so many staff coming back that they have nearly finsihed hiring staff for the summer. That says something. They really look after the staff and make sure they are happy, and the kids are so close with each other. It really is like a family there. I agree with the statement before, its amazing. check out the website, come and look at the camp. 2nd family forever.

Quality Staff is what makes a Quality Camp. Kennybrook hires only the best of the best. Warm, Friendly, Caring, Helpful, Interested, and Honest people work at Kennybrook to make the experience for each child a special one. Don't believe everything you read -- Go take a look for yourself. I promise that you will be pleased and feel right at home. The sleep-away camp decision is a big one -- Make it yourself and don't let anyone influence you.

My daughter attended as a camper for two years and then worked as a waitress for one of those years. she had a positive experience the first two years, although I felt like there was too much time hanging around the bunk doing nothing. Her year as a waitress was not as positive. Firstly, i thought the owners exploited them and provided them with no outlets on their days off. Also, that summer there was a conflict with some of the girls, which i thought was very poorly handled by the owners and their children. I have three other children and chose to send them to other camps, where there are more activites and better facilities for the price. Also, I felt the staff at these other camps were better equipped to deal with children and day to day issues/conflicts which are surely to arise.

My child is having an amazing time at this camp. Great activities, food and events. The kids are extremely friendly-no cliques. The counselors are bright, caring and really take good care of the campers. The owners/directors are truly unbelievable. They are accomodating, always pay attention to campers' needs and go out of their way to be helpful. My child will go back here next summer. I highly recommend this camp.

The summer of 2007 will be my 8th summer at camp kennybrook and i can honestly say camp is one of the most important parts of my life.( i can't go a day without thinking about next summer) I know that when people are looking for a place to send their children they typically look for a nice "attractive" place, but thats not what camp is about at all. In my 7 summers at kennybrook i learned more than any experience some where else could have ever taught me. At kennybrook i made about 8 of my best friends in the world and when i look at it now, i don't know how i would LIVE with out them, they are all amazing and i couldn't live without my daily chats with them every single day. I can honestly consider kennybrook and most of the people there my family. My dad and i both grew up at kennybrook and when i have my own children i know that kennybrook is where they will be the minute they are old enough. kennybrook has changed my life.

This upcoming summer wil;l be my 4th summer and it is the best camp ive ever gone too. They have wonderful trips for the older kids like canada and california and smaller fun trips for the little kids like water parks. The lifestyle is great all the kids are so nice along with the couselors. The activities are getting much better as ive heard because they are puting in all new facilities including a water trampoline, they are re-doing the lake and all new equipment. Ive tried so many other camps and i hated them but when i came here it was nothing like the other camps. It was accually really fun. You really should talk to your kid about going here he/she will have the best time if you want to see pictures of the kids from the 2006 summer go to kennybrook.com click on photo album and the user name is kenny and the password is bigrock.

Outstanding camp, both my children will be returning again. The landman family really do take care with each individual child there.

Top rated camp for children and staff members. I spent a few years there, and will send my kids there later on. Great facilities, they always update everything.

Our son was put in a cabin where everyone his age left half way through the summer. Then, when the staff should have recognized that he was having a tough time socially, he was essentially ignored. The facilities are average for the price. It is a good thing that they are making the lake better. The senior leadership seem very nice but I am not thrilled with the counselor to camper ratio in the cabins or the quality of the general counselors. The good thing for my son is that he does love the activities of camp and therefore had an "OK" time, but we will be looking for another place next summer.

I don't know who rated this camp before me, but I'm sure you didn't go to Kennybrook, or you would not have put that score. I had my first experience as a staff member and loved it. They really do care about the kids and staff, and make you feel apart of their camp family.

Camp is worth the money, the expirience and friendships your kids will make are extremely important. Kids who dont go to camp dont know how much fun it really is.

Ive been going to this camp forever, and I have to say it is outstanding. They truly look after the staff, and go out of their way. The program for the kids is awesome too, and they are always updating it. The senior trip is the best, and they are now adding another trip. cant wait. You have to go to this camp, and make the friends that I have made. Thank you

I worked at Kennybrook for two summers, and can say from a counselor's perspective that this is a truly remarkable place. The senior staff really cares about each and every child's well-being during the summer, and is very supportive of their counselors as well. Kennybrook is my summer home and second family!

Camp Kennybrook is wonderful. My 2 kids are returning to camp for their 5th year and my oldest son went to Camp Kennybrook for 7 years. It was the best experience for them. They made new friends and they kept in touch and managed to see each other during the winter. My kids learned to play sports, my son learned how to swim better. Camp Kennybrook is definately their 2nd home and family. The Landsman family are very warm and caring people. They run a great camp.

My 10-year-old son had an incredible first sleep-away camp experience here. The staff is well-trained; the owners/directors are extremely aware of safety and health issues; and there is a loving, warm feeling about the camp. Although there is excellent sports instruction, kids enjoy so many other activities and Kennybrook is a really well-rounded camp.

My daughter went to Kennybrook for eight years and my son for three. There is a very warm, friendly, family feeling. The children receive personal attention and are made to feel good about themselves. It has all the facilities and programs a child could want but still has the feeling of a camp, not a country club. Definitely worth the money and I would recommend to any family looking for a mid-priced camp where their child feels like part of the "camp family."

I went to Kennybrook for seven years, this will be my brother's seventh summer coming up, and my sister is going to Kennybrook for the 1st time this year. There is a mix of counselors, some are great and others were awful. Even though when you're 15 you don't really want to play sports we had to play. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. They have redone the canteen, the staff house, the infirmary, the ping-pong plaza, a hockey rink, and the gymnastics pavilon in my seven years so most of the facilities are pretty new and good. The friendships that I made were so worth going even though the food wasn't great. Most of the kids live in Westchester and Long Island but some are from Florida, New Jersey, and CT. Kennybrook is also a good camp because you know almost everyone's name and everyone is friendly. Also, there are a lot of trips. We went canoeing, white water rafting, to a water park, to Boston, Philidelphia, the West Coast, and Canada. Overall, Kennybrook is really fun.

My 3 children attend Camp Kennybrook and this will be my older child's 8th summer. I've been very happy with the warm family feeling and attention to individual needs. It truly is their "summer home."
