This is one of the best organized and activity packed camps you'll find. Some say there could be more free time for individual unit activities but I say they err on the side of fun and excitement. Great camp!

I've been an active Scout dad for 8 years and am still disappointed in Camp Nobebosco from our week there in the summer of 2016. The Good: 1)The food is decent, even good, though if you have special dietary needs you'd better bring your own; 2) Activities; 3) Facilities are nice enough & well kept. The NOT good: We (not just me) had several staff issues. 1) Staff member (not young)standing outside the showers in just his underwear bottoms hollering at the full showers to hurry up! 2) Young staff member seated at lunch table with my scouts became angry, menacing and threatened scouts for normal teen silliness. Utterly arrogant & unapologetic when we tried to discuss it with him and mgt simply said "I talked to him." As a professional counselor, my thought was he is a hazard to my Scouts yet mgt did not seem to care. 3) Other scouts were told not to repeat a very respectful and correct report at formation which was determined to be too "spirited"! I would NEVER go here--ever.

Just attended a week at NoBeBoSco with my son, who took the First Class Adventure and 2 merit badges. My first experience with scout camp, and it was a terrific one! The camp staff was terrific in their helpfulness, the merit badge counselors were great in both teaching, as well as helping the scouts understand the right way to behave (dinner manners, procedures.) The activities were all first rate and handled professionally, campfires were a ton of fun. Songs at meals and fires were silly and hilarious, the theme of Robin Hood for this year was done well and the related games and hidden treasures only added to the fun environment. Some facilities are a bit rough around the edges, but in a good camp way. Some latrines could use some work. Food was absolutely excellent, and that staff was extremely helpful with finding anything that might have nuts in it each morning, to help my son avoid them due to his severe allergies. My son is already planning for next year, so thumbs up!

I was a camp leader there summer 2010 and even though I didn,t give it 5's all the way this is a great camp , it's easy to get around , the food is the best camp food I've ever had the merit badge program is excellent. there are new showers and bathrooms the campsites are good the tents are not the best but they are clean and dry the outhouse bathrooms could use some attention though. The scout staff are the best and the skits and shows they put on are very entertaining, some of the older60+ staff tend to be cranky but they are scouts of long ago and they have the wright to be cranky! Overall our troop had a great experiance and we are going back again this year. If you,re looking for a great camp and want to earn merit badges this is the camp for you

Our troup just spent a week there, I was there as a Scout leader..."TROUP 55!" The campsites are as awesome as you can get. Fantastic facilities, clean showers and bathrooms. The open air mess hall, GREAT food...The staff members like Mike Sweeney, EJ, Will, Nick...just to name a few, are all by far the BEST of the best. The Themes and skits are hysterical and keep the boys involved and focused. The activities, to many to list are challenging, fun, huge character builders.. and whether you participate or just watch...great fun is had by all. My son is a first year scout, looking forward to many years of scouting in the future, Thanks to NOBE

Even with two 4 rating I rate the camp a 5+. I just want more. This facility have the potential to expand beyond its present offerings. There is a lot of talent to be tapped from the large staff of boy scouts and adult leader. They should have the weekly visiting troop leaders fill out a questionaire denoting any special class or merit badge they can offer for that week. This would at minimum cost increase the offered merit badges, especially for the older scouts who have run out of the usual offered merit badges repeated yearly. After 4 years, the offerings become stale.

One of the best camps for a reason, Bob Johnson does a very good job keeping camp running smoothly, the theme provides great program, and there is a great staff.

This was my first year staying at NoBe as an Assistant ScoutMaster, and I must say, everything about the camp was great! Our troop has been going for many years, and now I know why. My son went for the first time last year and loved it, then he loved it so much this year that he asked on the way home to be able to go for two weeks next year (one week with our Troop and a second week with a provo troop). Plus several of our scouts plan on applying to become CIT's at NoBe next year. Finally, the staff always seems very enthusiastic (which rubs off on the boys), and always goes WELL above and beyond. (Example: We had one staff member come out to our campsite at 9:00 PM and spend more than an hour with one of our scouts who needed some extra attention on one merit badge.) Very VERY highly recommended! (I'll definitely be back next year!!)

The best boy scout camp in the country. I have been going to this camp for 6 years as a boy scout and about 10 in general. It doesn't get better than Nobe.

This camp sucks, it has nothing good about it. The staff was cranky, the facilities were trashed, the activities were boring, Nobody was listining to what I had to say, and I got a broken cot at my crappy, rocky campsite!:(

I work at NoBe and it is by far the best camp in the United States. Shout out to the Staff. We have the only open air dining hall left in the country, not to mention the best food of any summer camp you will find. Staff is fun and always available to meet your every need. Your stay here at Camp NoBe will be the best you've ever spent at a summer camp. To put it simply, "NoBe Roads WILL bring you back..."

This is the greatest camp ever. Beautiful lake. Great mountains to climb. Access to the DWGNRA. The AT runs right along one side of camp. The coolest camp dining hall anywhere. If you haven't been to No-Be, you haven't been to camp.

Nobe is the #1 Scout Camp in the Northeast. The staff, food, and program are absolutely unrivaled compared to any scout camp that my troop has ever come to. You have not experienced scout camp until you experience Nobebosco.

I love this place! Well, I've never been here for summer camp because I'm a girl, but my school want to Camp Fairview which is close by and we went on a hike at Camp Nobebosco and it was spectacualr! They had beautiful views! Also, does Camp Crystal Lake ring a bell when you go here? That's because the first Friday the 13th movie was shoot here, Isn't that cool? My Camp Fairview conselour told me and when I got home I looked it up on the official Friday 13th website and it's true!
