Horribly cheap, They are so cheap here.You pay Top dollar for travel camp and they are very clever in this department.On a one week travel trip they will not fly kids on a 2 hour plane ride and instead will put kids on a bus for a whopping 18 hours monday and another 18 hours friday on way home.They could care less about kids, its so unfair.But they than pay 0 airfare and than for two days they have no hotel or any activities to pay for.A win win for the owners of this camp.Boy are they so cleaver!! Disgusting !

Hi, I made a rating here in 2013. My daughter has now been a camper at Ivy League Day for five years and is in the travel division. The group goes on trips twice a week and stays at camp the other days. They go weekly to Six Flags and then other places, i.e. Medieval Times, the beach, baseball games, etc. My daughter loved the trips! She looked forward to going all the time! She also really liked her counselors. There was some girl group drama this year and I asked the division leader to watch over my daughter. He was very responsive to the situation. My daughter said he's a doll and enjoyed playing pool with him in the gameroom! There was a situation where she got injured one day and the nurse was on top of it and called me right away! The only request my daughter has is to increase the number of trips from two-three days a week. Otherwise she has been very happy! Thank you for another great summer! I just signed her up again for next year. Look out here comes trouble Ivy League! ; )

Best camp ever. My older children went there and loved it. My younger child has been attending for 4 years. The staff is great and I love the owners. They treat everyone with respect. The activities get better each year.

this camp is below par. they have competitor prices and horrible attitudes/people skills. They can't come close to what's out there. Since the camp was handed over to the sons the camp has gone down hill. The place is absolutely disgusting. The outside lunch area smells like backed up sewage. The bathrooms are filthy and the staff is miserable because of the poor treatment by the owners. As a paying costumer they make you feel as though everything they do for you is the biggest favor and you owe them something. You start to feel as though no one else will do the things they do until you go to other camps and see what's out there. The other camps do what they do and more but without the nasty domineer. The other local camps for the most part not only want your business but they want the campers to be happy and safe. They are down in enrollment and there is a reason for it. The owners are not only ignorant but absolutely money hungry. They care only about the instant gratification $$$$$.

Lets get real here. This facility is outdated & not up to par in the cleanliness department. If I am grossed out being there why on earth would I subject my kids to that. This place may have been a great place 20/30 yrs ago but definitly not in 2013.

After attending Ivy League almost 25 years ago I decided to enroll my daughter for a four week session this summer. I have been very happy with the camp. My daughter's lead counselor is friendly and kind and the division head is pleasant and has promptly returned any phone calls I have made to her. The facility is large and is accommodating for good weather or inclement weather. There is a beautiful outdoor campus as well as a number of rooms for indoor activities such as scrapbook, ceramics, gymnastics, etc. The staff encourages safety and security: I do parent drop off and pick up for my child. All parents are expected to provide I.D. (driver's license) when picking up their child. This is necessary in this day and age. This coming weekend there is a family day where parents can enjoy activities on the Ivy League campus with their children. All in all my daughter is enjoying her summer!

i enrolled my two young children at ivy league day camp and although they enjoyed it and looked forward to getting on the bus each day, there were some very serious concerns. my son came home one day and told me that another little boy had "touched" his sister between her legs. when i asked my daughter she said, yes, that did happen. she said the boy got in trouble and his parents had to pick him up. that was all well and good BUT at no time did anyone notify me. if my son hadn't mentioned it, i would have known nothing about it. it took two full days before anyone returned my repeated calls. when i did speak with the counselor she said she never thought to call me since they "handled it". when i told her what she in effect did, was deny me an opportunity to discuss the situation with my daughter -and reinforce prior conversations, she said she never "thought of it that way". needless to say my kids haven't been back.

I love this camp to death. I have been going there for ten years and it gets better every year. The owners make it so fun; it is the best camp in NJ.

I went to Ivy league for ten years, and now i am going to Frogbridge because Ivyleague got boring. Even though i was a grad, i was still boared by the trips.

As a parent of 3 Ivy League campers, I am appalled at the comments written by, what seems to be, a very disgruntled parent. My 3 children, ages 5, 8 and 11, have each been attending ILDC since they are 2 years old. My relationship with the Owners/Directors, Group Leaders and Counselors for the past 9 years has been nothing but EXCEPTIONAL. My kids LOVE going to camp every day in the summer and talk about it all winter long. During the 8 weeks that they are in camp I can go to work every morning with the peace of mind that my children are well taken care of in a fun and nurturing environment. We love ILDC and recommend it to everyone we know!

DO NOT SUBJECT YOUR CHILD TO THIS CAMP! Do you want your young child to be sitting next to a teenager in the back of the camp bus who negatively influences your 6 y/o to cut their face w/a knife so they can get a scar and look cool? Why didn't the bus counselor seat our 6 yr.old with other young children? Don't let this happen to your small child! There were other issues such as the counselors were not applying sunscreen to our child (as they were required to do).I tried to contact a counselor via phone and the call was never returned. Our son went to see the nurse and was treated, noone ever contacted us. The day we withdrew our son from the camp we were told by the owner's adult son that we would receive a refund of the unused portion of tuition. A refund was issued, however the camp witheld monies without any explanation as to why. We hope this influences your decision so you can avoid this happening to your child. Our son went to a different camp after this and all was fine!

I didnt rele liked this camp i left half way it was soo boring excemp for the waterslides they were funthe ppl there cant control there campers like there was like this mental kid in my group and she would cause all the probablems and i dont think thay rele care about the campers just their pay check sorry but thats my opinion..
