The looks don't say anything about this camp and people who judge this camp by it’s looks clearly don’t know the true meaning of camp it is great and the camp enforces showers every day no one goes without showering and they do not leave any children unattended as it says in some of the other reviews this place is perfect for your children and you should totally send them and the staff are great always kind and Al way caring their number one priority is your safety and the cabins are amazingly safe and the food is also amazing the shower temperature is changeable. It could be hot or cold or even warm whatever you want. If you’re looking for a great camp for your children, send them here.

Sent my daughter here for Camp and she didn’t bathe for two weeks. Apparently the Camp does not have adequate hot water or someone turns the hot water off to the showers. Girls ages 7-11 are subjected to these conditions and given the choice as to whether they want to take cold showers. Definitely did not sign my child up for cruel and unusual punishment. The Camp is staffed mostly by other kids who are rude to the children. At one point my 10 years was left alone without supervision with 4 other kids 10 and under who were permitted on the lake tramp. My daughter was pushed off the tramp into the lake by another junior. My child for whatever reason had not passed the “swim” test (although I know she can swim because I taught her) and was permitted on the lake without a life jacket. Nonetheless my child could have drowned and no one would have been able to explain what happened. On the last day a personal item of hers went missing and was returned covered in blood. We’ll never go back.

Camp Oneka is absolutely fantastic. I am a camper who is going here in 8 days, and all I can talk about is camp. It is like paradise. The cabins are cozy, and the counselors are wonderful. The food is over the top amazing, with my favorite being the spaghetti and meatballs. The activities are so much fun! I personally love the water trampoline and crafts. I always come home with special crafts, and cards since my birthday is at camp. On my birthday, I get a cake, and all of my friends make me cards and gifts. I receive packages and mail. This camp is basically a world of wood, but that is what makes it so special. Overall, this place is pure paradise, and I would truly recommend you send your daughter here.

This camp is an amazing place that I hope my kids can go to someday because you learn about team work and leadership without even realizing because you are on either the red or white team which turns into most of you. The activities are so amazing and the food is something to wait for every minute. The traditions will never die out from warcrew to pageant everything will always be good old Camp Oneka. ?? Go Reds!

Camp Oneka was my most wonderful and memorable experience growing up! Both my daughters attended camp and we were so glad last year when my daughter had a baby girl because we have another Oneka girl!

Oneka is the authentic camp experience. Traditional, simple, and so much fun. It taught me about friendship and what it means to just be myself and really enjoy the camping experience. It's all about stepping away from the electronics that rule our lives and enjoying the summer by building friendships as well as learning and experiencing new things. The staff and directors are there because they want to provide the best experience possible for the campers. The activities are diverse and will fit any girl. There is hiking, biking, sailing, boating, archery, arts and crafts, drama, nature, fire building, overnight trips, etc. Campers live in small groups and are in activities with neighboring cabins. This camp is well worth the money invested and the friends made there are the closest you'll ever find, and they're friends for life that know you like no one else. I will send my daughter there, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a fun, wholesome, rewarding camp experience.

Oh wow dont even get me started on how AMAZING camp oneka is! first of all, it is very traditional. it was founded in 1908 and there's none of that fancy stuff that takes away from the value camping, making like a hotel stay. but, this does not mean that the cabins were bad. they are so nice! and the counselors are just like your best friends and sisters. they give each camper a perfect amount of attention, dont pick favorites, and know exactly how to deal with issues such as homesickness, and (if there ever are any) issues between campers. the food is soo good, all homecooked and fresh ingredients. the lake is absolutely stunning and gorgeous! there is sailing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, banana boating, and swimming on the lake and its a blast!! there is also archery, arts and crafts and other artsy activities, ecology, outdoor living (pitching a tent, how to start a camp fire, etc) but you HAVE to send your daughter to oneka please consider it and go to the website ask the owners ?s
