I attended CCH for many years in the 70's under the direction of Father and Lady Blackwood. It is among my best memories of my childhood - excellent, excellent camp. I learned so much about life, love, forgiveness, fellowship etc., and I will cherish those memories forever. Everyone was warm, caring, compassionate; the food was great and the activities wholesome and fun. I know there have been many changes since then, but I can't imagine the Diocese running anything but a top quality camp. I very highly recommend it.

As a former counsellor of Canterbury, I have nothing but good things to say. From David's leadership, the management team style of operations, and the child-centred, de-centralized approach, Canterbury is everything one could want for a camp experience. Many fond memories have and will be made in the Dundas Valley by those who sing the words "It's a great, great camp, this Camp Canterbury!"

Canterbury Hills Camp is a life chaging experience for staff and campers alike. Canterbury also works wit the Reach for the rainbow foundation to provide oppourtunities for campers with special needs attend camp. Canterbury believes that camp is an experience that everyone should be able to have without biased to their monetary status or dissabilities. Canterbury also has a spectacular Leader in Training ( LIT) program, which includes half day sessions for learnign but the LIT's are staff and not treated any different than those being paid. If your going to go to camp, this is the one to go to.

Canterbury Is the best Camp in the history of existance. It has shaped who I am and is extremly community based. It follows it's own programs called Decentralized child centred unit camping which is the opposite of a program camp. This meaning that the kids get to decided what to do and their own shedule and are each in uniting of 8 kids. There is day camp and residental camp. Campers learn acceptance of others, leadership skills, creativity open-mindedness- and everything else positive. No camp can possibly top canterbury and the staff team is fanominal!
