As a camper at Kilcoo, I can say that this is one of the best Camps in Ontario. Before coming to this camp, I was at two before. And Kilcoo exceeds them in every category. One thing that really stands out is their personality. Each staff cares for there campers, and they all make an effort to make everyone's summer enjoyable. The Director, Lub, especially makes everyone feel important by giving everyone a nickname, and bringing a real sense of family. Overall, a great camp.

Over the past couple of years I have been there with my school. I understand that maybe the cabin and washroom facilities aren't amazing, but it is camp. It's what anyone would expect. You typically aren't spending much time in the cabins anyway. The reason why I love this place is because of the sense of community. Somehow it changes people and allows them to be who they are whilst having no one judge them. Lub is amazing and cares for every person that walks through the camp and will probably have a nick name for you (mine happened to be "Al") . -- yes I am a girl and I am talking about an all boys camp that I have never been to in the summer, but my experiences here have changed me and the way I view my grade and have allowed us as a whole to grow closer. Lub also works at my school so I had the opportunity to get to know him. Out of all this, if you have the opportunity to go with your school, GO. If you have the opportunity to go during the summer, GO. HAVE FUN. BE YOURSELF.

I've gone to this camp for 8 years, and it just keeps getting better and better. The staff are all great, the food is good. and the director is amazing, energetic and unbelievably involved with every kid. This last summer I started training to be a counselor best decision I've ever made, as long as you are not afraid of the outdoors and aren't expecting a five star resort then you should love this camp.

I went with my school and I loved it! I wish that I could go in the summer, but I'm a girl so I can't. T_T I probably would have rated it higher, but when I went some stuff was being repaired and painted. It probably is better now, though. I can't wait to go again! THIS CAMP IS AWESOME.

kilcoo is the camp of my brothers. I also am related to the Doctor there. From a young age, I have experienced Kilcoo from a unique light, being half camper(going to activities and swimming in the lake there) and half staff (hanging out with the medical staff). I'd definetly go as a camper except i'm a girl. I know many boys and men who have been at kilcoo as campers and staff and they have obviously profited immensely by their experience. The only reason I have given a 4 in facilities is the Doctor's cabin, it is a discrace. The rest including the Dining hall, cabins, and Hospital are great, as all the things a camper would encounter.

This is the most amazing camp ever, with the most amazing councellors, they were more like friends! They're all hilarious in their own ways. I went with my middle school so I guess I didn't get the full expierience but from what I saw, felt, and tasted (yes the food was amazing) it was the best camp ever. -Conner (Deanor) '07 I MISS HURDLES.

I went with my school so that probably why I thought it was crappy... but the cabins were terrible... I didn't like that there was no water avalliable execept in the dining hall and I feel it was TOO staff oriented - I'm sure it's much better in the summer but from what I saw I wasn't a fan

I dont know what that one guy was saying about being disappointed....did you think you were going to a Donald Trump hotel? Its a camp. Besides, I went in a group of like 100 kids from school and they gave every single one of us our own camp name and remembered it....thats not personal attention? Pffft!!!!

This is a great camp. The staff's ideals are a little confusing, but mostly it's great. Go Kilcoo!

I went to Kilcoo with my school and I have to say, I was disappointed. One major issue was that there was only drinkable water avaliable in the dining hall so, if your not there you lose. THe cabin are pretty sad and the staff don't work very hard to meet each individuls need. It was okay but not great
