Nurse cabin duct taped together and has sulfur water. Clinic outdated and no phone, radio or 4 wheeler for transport in case of emergency. Doctor not on site 24/7 as advertised. Very unsafe medication administration. administrator tried to keep me from contact with my son who was a camper so i left. One year later i still have not been paid. This is a Jewish culture camp and if you're not Jewish they don't like you. Very unprofessional and very unsafe setting. Lots of under paid and overworked staff. Most on work visa from other countries and don't speak English. The food is TERRIBLE! This camp is not certified and there are reasons! Do some research before you trust them with your child

Everything at this place is gross and sketchy. They do so much under the rug, and they hire staff from craigs list without doing background checks.

My children have attended Timber Ridge for 4 years and absolutely love the camp. From the day they get home, they count down the days until camp starts again. The facilities are terrific, the counselors and staff are wonderful and caring, and the leadership is the best in the industry. They know all the kids by name and care for each child. There is a wide variety of activities - something for every child - and the children get to choose their activities. Couldn't ask for more in a summer camp. Above all, my kids are happy campers!

Our three kids all went to timber ridge and without exception all loved the camp and the people who run the camp. The owners make each child a priority and make each feel important. The camp is beautiful and has everything a child could want for activities. They even have a driving range for golfers, go carts, and a lake for wakeboarding. The staff is supervised closely and there are standards which they must live up to from day one to the final day of camp. The activities are engaging, from the drama department to the sports leagues to the arts and crafts. The equestrian program is one of the best I have seen. The camp facilities are comfortable, the dining hall very good - with delicious meals. I would endorse this camp for any prospective camper, the experiences and lifetime friendships, the activities and traditions make for the perfect summer experience.

I was a camper for six years and now a counselor for two- Timber Ridge is my home. My greatest memories and greatest friendships were formed here. The best part of being a counselor is watching the new campers have the same positive experience that I did- there is no better feeling. Timber Ridge offers a vast array of activities to suit any child's interest; from theater to soccer to wake boarding and rock climbing- Timber Ridge has it all. Campers are under the supervision of highly motivated and responsible counselors, many of whom have also attended camp for countless years and are absolute experts at the entire camp experience. I truly believe that Timber Ridge has made me a better person and I highly recommend this camp to any parent seeking a wonderful summer for their children. Timber Ridge has been a part of my life since age 7 and through the camp itself and the people whom I've met there, I know it will always remain a prominent part of my life for years and years to come.

Timber Ridge is a wonderful summer camp with great people, activities, and facilities. I have worked there for 13 summers and I can't wait to go back again. 7 weeks in the summer is def. not long enough for this camp. There are so many great things to do (evening activities, plays, Sunday night football, Color War)that you will never want to leave. The staff, kids, and admin are great. I look forward to seeing them ever June when I return to my 2nd home in High View, WV. Its a great place to work and send your kids.

This is an amazing experience for any child. I have homeboy this camp got ten years and my best friends goby this camp. I can reach out to the staff and owners anytime anywhere. It makes me sad that anyone would talk bad about a place that is home and family. I love timber ridge. My friends my family my life!

Staff unappreciated and put down and yelled at by directors. Many were fired and quit after first session. Many things happened as a parent I would not allow my children to go. Staff unhappy with owners but did jobs with kids. Programs lack professionalism with exception of a few, by the end of the summer 2013 no new head staff remained either fired or quit only those who had been there for several years remained. 15 to 20 people were fired or quit and they thought it was a good summer. In my 20 plus years at camp I have never seen more than 3 or 4 fired or quit in one summer. Very very poor management. Several counselors and staff were fired with only a few weeks left of camp and worked for 5 to 6 weeks and received pennies for their work. Most of their salary was in form of bonus for finishing camp. Owners saved thousands by letting them go. I would not recommend working or sending a child to this camp.

The counselors and office staff were all very helpful except for a few of them. The facilities were beyond horrible. Out of about 30 cabins, 2 were air conditioned. Also the plumbing and irrigation system are horrible. There would be 3 toilets for 14 people (with no locks) to share and at least 2 would always be clogged. The showers were terrible as everyday, I would find some king of insect (spiders, bees, wasps, mosquitoes) in the shower. Considering how much a camper pays to go there for the summer, they should clean up the cabins and fix the irrigation and air conditioning. The activities there were great and offers a wide variety but it was very unorganized. They claimed that they always knew where everyone was at all times, but they actually had no clue. Since there are about 170 campers, each camper barely gets any attention. For $10,000 and 170 campers, it is definitely not worth the value because of the facilities, attention, and organization.

Four of the worst summers of my life. Meanest, jappiest kids ever. Counselors were just as bad. I was picked on nonstop and the counselors were pissed because I was a troublemaker. As if I wanted to be picked on. I hated this camp.
