I personally am a camper at mount tom! This will be my 9th year going to camp there and my dream is to be a counselor at mt tom as son as I can! Activities range from- soccer-arts and crafts-yoga- gaga-challenge course- swimming-t shirt art- volleyball and so much more! All the staff are considerate and willing to help and make you feel better. Since I started camp here I have become a very strong and talented swimmer thanks to the lifegaurd! To my taste, the food is pretty good! Although, I am a vegetarian so usually I eat "cold lunch" unless the hot lunch is something I can eat! But this year I suggested a mini "salad bar" with fresh vegetables, beans, and hard boiled eggs. And they listened so get ready for a Better lunch! Btw ice cream every day in the afternoon!!!! The bus is even fun with my two favorite counselors who I am Ike BFFs with cause they are only 2 years older than me!! Stan, doug, and Erin (the directors) are like my family, and hopefully will become the same to you!

If you don't have a job and can routinely wait for you bus 30 minutes after the arrival time this is the camp for you! The counselors and facilities are good but the director Doug does not seem to worry about satisfying parents expectations once he has your money. Our bus was supposed to arrive and at 8:30. It never did this. Usually it was 30 minutes late. Next year we return to Yomi!

as a camper-turned-counselor, i must say that mount tom is like a giant family, most kids have been here their whole lives, not because they have to, because they want to. when we think summer, we think mount tom. its a very nurturing camp, and probably has the highest retention rate for staff and campers in the area. (almost every group has a counselor who used to be a camper here, so you know it must be good if they are still here all of these years) it is expensive, but certainly worth it. everyone always cries on the last day, even though we all know we will see eachother next year. i'm working here for as long as i still have summers off. and my kids are going straight here as soon as they turn 3. its that great of a camp. honestly

I went to this camp about 2/3 years ago and ..... I LOVED IT!!! the staff is amazing and i'm very sorry i havent gone back

I love Mount Tom and every year I can't wait until summer to go back. And I am a sports kid so I don't know what the other people are talking about. It's GREAT!!!

i went to the camp for 11 years and i loved it. some people put bad ratings because they expected it to be sports oriented. it is not but if you want your kid to have a great time send him/her to mt. tom. Swim twice a day, red cross certified lessons. they have a huge challenge course with zip line and rock wall. good interactive nature program. not the best food but what do you expect. If your kid loves sports send him to a sports camp, but if you kid just likes having fun, he'll love mt. tom.

These ratings hardly make any sense! Most of the campers at Mount Tom are returning campers, some have been here for almost their whole lives and many go onto become staff, and thats the best kind of staff you can have, ones who have already gone through the camp experience here and know how to provide each and every camper with an enjoyable summer to the best of their ability!
