This camp is so wonderful and truly operates with fun safety, and kids development in mind. Hillary and Mike are wonderful leaders and do an exceptional job at delivering the best camp experience for the kids. My son has the most incredible summers here.

We give Kutshers a A+++! All three of our boys have enjoyed their summers away at Kutshers and continue to do so! From 9 years old - counselor, we could not be happier. Our kids all play travel basketball in South Florida and Kutshers helped to improve their game each year! The quality of the instructors and the sports program is far superior than any traditional camp. Our boys have made great friends for life at Kutshers and keepin touch with their camp friends throughout he school year. Everyone from the owners, to the office staff to the counselors have been wonderful. We have always felt like our boys were well taken care of and loved. Even when our youngest was homesick, they were on top of it making us feel secure that he was ok. He ended up going back year after year! Kutshers is the best! Amy and Howard

My son went to Kutsher's Sports Academy (KSA) for 4 summers. He loved it there and spoke about it all winter, waiting until he could return the next summer. Last summer he extended his 3 week stay to 5 weeks because he didn't want to leave! The staff was extremely helpful in facilitating this change and took care of his trunk, transport to the airport and all necessary communications. The staff (specifically the more seasoned staff) has always been excellent. Facilities are fine, as I don't have anything to compare them to! I feel the price is on par with other comparable camps. This camp is perfect for a child who really LOVES sports! It's not a country-club setting, but a REAL camp, and the kids seem to always be having fun and keeping busy. Unfortunately, we are not able to send our son back to KSA because we moved out of the trip-state area. However, I know that my son has wonderful memories from KSA!!!

As a mother of four children who have all attended KSA for many years, I must gives thanks and credit to KSA for providing many unforgettable summer's that taught life skills such as communal living, sportsmanship, problem solving, team building & conflict resolution. None of these can be taught in a classroom or from a book. I'm certain that Each one of my childrens' academic and extra curricular successes were largely due to lesson's learned each summer at KSA. Each were active in their school community, clubs, school sports and music. All of my children adjusted to college away from home seamlessly; and again I attribute that success to being campers at KSA and learning how to function each summer, away from home. It was with great pride that I watched my youngest daughter transition from camper last year to counselor this summer, caring for children at the same age as when she became a camper herself. KSA is a superior and enriching summer experience, bar none. Thank You!

This camp has uncovered the perfect blend of cognitive and skill acquisition instructional practices that represent the best in teaching. If ever there was a place for a child to reach their ultimate potential, have fun, and enjoy health and vitality, KSA is it. There is a love for children, a love of the game, a healthy respect for competition, a focus on individuality, and a recognition that differences and challenges are what makes people wonderful. KSA is a wonderful place to grow, mature, envision your future, understand potential and learn to value effort.

The staff is very nice and welcoming however that is where the positives at this camp end. Camp is poorly run. Facilities are below average at best with garbage everywhere. Housekeeping non exsistant. Other than a nice fieldhouse, the ball fields are poorly kept. Food is rationed with little to no selections. Waterfront has potential.

We're so fortunate to be able to have our daughter attend KSA. The Whites do a wonderful job in selecting the camp staff and the positive programming brings out the best in our daughter and all the campers. You know it's going to be a great experience for your kid when a staff member greets her by name in the parking lot after a year away.

Our daughter just finished her fourth summer at Kutshers. She is always sad to leave, and has made many good friends at KSA. The camp directors are excellent at balancing fun and safety. They pay attention to the little things that would keep me awake at night--like what she's eating, when she's going to sleep, if she's needing some extra hugs--so that all of us can have a great summer. We have already signed up for next year (and she just came home yesterday).

Marc and Caroline White have done an amazing job of building and running a camp that combines the highest level of sports instruction with an emphasis on sportsmanship and fun. KSA instills loyalty in its campers and families, as evidenced by the many families who have had 2 or 3 generations attend.

Kutsher's Sports Academy was the perfect fit for my children. We were looking for a summer camp that fostered their love for sports, Kutsher's did just that. With my daughter entering 9th grade, the camp enabled her to train and condition in preparation for try outs last Fall for soccer at a high school level. For my 2 younger children, they were able to explore "other" sports that were never offered in our community. The coaching and instruction was the best they ever experienced. My 6 year old daughter developed a love for horses, a strong foundation in gymnastics and new tennis skills. My 9 year old son, built his skills on the baseball field, basketball courts, golf and even tried lacrosse, which he now loves! Above all, my children were very well cared for, they liked the food and "Canteen" activities and never had any complaints about their experience. I would recommend this camp without hesitation!

Kutsher's was an absolutely amazing place for my children. Kutsher's is unique. Your children get excellent training in every sport, while also experiencing a traditional camp environment. I've sent my children to specialty camps before, however, I found that Kutsher's offered training that was as good, if not even better, than the specialty camp. Not only did my children get better in their specific sport, but, the kids made wonderful friendships, and they stay in touch with their friends throughout the year. In sum, I can not articulate what a fantastic effect Kutshers had on my children. They not only came home more mature, and independent, but, were given compliments by their coaches on how much they improved in skill level and on the field.

This is a great camp if your kids LOVE sports and want to improve. I think it's the perfect mix of very high quality instruction and an environment that is still very 'campy'. I've found that this combination is hard to come by. The retention rate of counselors and coaches is amazing and a true testament to those who run the camp. All of the coaches give very individualized attention and it's clear that they take pride in what they do and will give it their all to help your child improve. They even offer to work with them one-on-one before the camp day starts, during free periods etc. While the instruction is high level and intense, the rest of the atmosphere at camp is laid back. The kids have a lot of independence and after being so structured during the school year, it's nice for them to have freedom at camp. I would definitely recommend KSA for kids who love sports and want to improve and have fun!

KSA is an exceptional camp because it employs real coaches who provide actual instruction to the campers. Evening leagues provide daily opportunities for game action to hone the skills learned during the day. A brand new field house is complete and facilitates indoor sports, like gymnastics, as well as no loss in activities on rainy days. The owners, director and many coaches have been with the camp for over a decade, so there is continuty that makes KSA feel like a family.

GREAT camp. My son went to very large camp and was just a Bunk #. The difference here is in the personalization. When we dropped him off counselors knew who he was and sent him right off to the lacrosse field since they had actually read his camper forms! His letters tell us kids here are great. Owner/Director couldn't be better and pictures even show him flipping burgers for the kids!

Went to this camp as a child and had the pleasure of revisiting over the past two years. Amazing to me that so much of the staff is still there from over 25+ years ago. Kudos to the directors/owners for keeping employees happy and making the experience at camp everything it is supposed to be for kids. The grounds are beautiful, new and clean. The owners met at camp and later married - they know first hand what camp can offer children. The sports instructors are highly qualified and while competitive spirit exists among campers so is training and support to help athletes get better at their sport.

My son loves this camp because of the three week option (he's not so big on being away for a long time). He enjoys the sports activities, especially baseball and football. Every year they plan a special outing for each session and this year they got to play baseball in Cooperstown which my son said was an "amazing experience" in his own words. He also like that fact that he is able to frequently communicate with us. Easy access to computers and email as well as 1 a week phone calls makes him feel connected to home while giving him a certain level of independence. Couselors in his bunk have always been friendly, helpful and couteous.

One of my children has been involved with the camp for 13 years and many of her most memorable times of her life have come from KSA. Many of her best friends are campers she met years ago. I couldn't think of a better place to send your kids. The directors are the most caring people in the world and will do whatever is necessary to acccomodate your child and make sure they are having a great time. They will go "outside the box" to make your child's summer a happy and memorable experience. Two of my other children have also attended the camp for a few years and have loved it. They are always so sad when the summer is over. They spend the winter video chatting with all the friends they make at camp and trying to make "bunk reunions".

I have made some life long friends at this camp and treasure the memories I have. This camp is very unique in that it gives the campers the freedom to chose their own "schedule" throughout the day. They have every sport from basketball to gymnastics. If a camper can not participate in sports or does not want to, they have other activities available such as arts and crafts. This camp truely is the full package.

As a former counselor and division leader I loved Kutshers Sports Academy. The leadership was great, the kids were fun to be around and I developed lifelong friendships with my fellow counselors and my campers. I loved seeing the campers get older and grow up through the years as well as their improvements on the sporting fields. I wish they had camps like this in New Zealand where I'm from! As a kid if you're into sports this is where you want to be.

This is a unique sleep away camp in that the campers select their daily programs individually and are taught skills to improve in a very non competitive atmosphere by professional coaches and physical educators who use college athletes only in assistance roles. Campers get to experience not only important group dynamics by living and eating with bunkmates but can express their own individuality as well.

Kutsher's Sports Academy is a very well planned an organized instructional program. The Sports Academy places the needs and well being of each camper as it's utmost priority. The staff has always been the best teaching staff in camping and as good as they are at teaching are even better people. The facilities are maintained and improved constantly. KSA is highly recommended as the camp's move to the Berkshires has proved to be an overwhelming success. Without a doubt the best summer of your life

I went to KSA for 9 years - 6 as a camper and 3 as a counselor. I didn't consider myself athletic when I first went, but the staff and overall camp atmosphere allowed me to try new things, start as a beginner, and develop my potential. Having been to a traditional camp that I hated, I loved that KSA allowed campers to break away from bunkmates and choose activities that interested them. That's what's truly great about KSA. Most of the administrative and coaching staff at KSA today have been there for decades and are passionate about providing kids with the best possible camp experience. KSA gave me the best summers of my youth, and I will always be grateful.

This is an excellent sports camp in a beautiful setting. My children went to Kutsher's years ago when it was in New York State, and the same unique concept is continued here in the new camp. It offers an individualized sports program where kids can select the sports they want to play during the day. If a child wants to play 3 periods of basketball and 1 period of soccer, and 1 period of lake activities, and then be in a basketball league at night, he can do that, or whatever else he or she wants. Both my children loved it. The kids are grouped by ability, and thus there is a real opportunity to improve in a sport. The staff is composed of experienced coaches who are very involved with the kids and offer a lot of individual attention. My husband and I recently visited the new site in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and were really impressed with the facilities and as always, the staff. We highly recommend this camp!

I have been to a lot of camps, and Kutshers had to have been the worst. The facilities were a dump, and the cabins were disgusting. The staff thought of themselves as the campers, and put themselves ahead. The only good thing about this camp was the tennis program. I would never recommend this camp.

This is the best camp ever! This summer was my first summer, and I already want to go back for seven weeks next year. The activities are so much fun and the sports programs really help you get better. The girls cabins are so cozy and big. When I was there I actually felt like I was at home. You make so many good friends there no matter what age. I definitely made best friends that i will keep for the rest of my life. Also, you take really fun trips; six flags, bball hall of fame, and a lot more. The councelors are all so nice! And you also get a lot of freedom. From about 8:30- your curfew your allowed to wander camp, hang out with friends, go to canteen, or just hang out in your bunk. When the summer ended, I really didn't want to leave. I had so much fun and i will definitely keep going until I am a councelor, and maybe even send my kids here one day. I miss camp so much and all of my camp friends. This summer at Kutshers was really a summer to remember.

My summer at KSA was one of the best experiences of my life. If you love sports this is the place to be. I've spent 5 years searching for a real "sports" camp and this is the one. The coaches are awesome (many are still professional athletes) and the counselors are just as good. The fields and courts are all new and the food was good (always a salad bar). I have spent summers at many different camps and KSA really tops them all in every category.

Kutshers Sports Academy brings the perfect combination of a true summer camp experience with the utmost in sports instruction and training. Truly a family atmosphere, from Marc and Caroyn to the coaches and counselors, my kids enjoyed the comfort of knowing there was always someone there! The grounds in Great Barrington are breathtaking, the athletic facilities top notch, and the bunks and common areas representative of what summer camp is all about in the Northeast! While the camp may have diversified itself from the purely intense sports camp it once was, as a High School Coach and alumni of those Monticello years in the late 70s and early 80s, I can confidently state that no matter what your child's sport, he/she will not receive finer instruction, coaching, sports education over the summer anywhere else in the country!

I have been going to this camp for 12 years. First as a camper and then as a counselor. It has been one incredible experience after another. The staff is absolutely amazing and would do anything for it's campers. The friends you make, despite only knowing them for a short time become your family. The sports are unlike anywhere else. It is awesome to be trained by professional and nationally ranked athletes and coaches. Whether you are an advanced athlete or just trying a new sport for the first time, you will never be turned away and will for sure improve if you put in the effort. There is no doubt that what ever you want out of your camp experience, you can get, whether its life long friends,or being a college athlete. For me, KSA has done both. If it wasn't for KSA I would not be the person I am today and I couldn't possibly begin to express my love for this camp or my gratitude to the people who have made KSA my favorite place in the world.

They moved and tried their best to be ready. They're kids - they can survive. My son had a great time last year at the old camp and this year at the new camp. If your kid really likes sports and wants instruction and a fairly competitive level of play at a lot of different sports this is the camp. I don't think there's another summer camp like it.

My children went here after attending 2 other "sports camps" and not being happy. The problems with the other camps had to do with lack of instruction and lack of others wanting to play and/or competition. After 3 years we have finally found a camp they love. The staff is unbelievable and the new facility is outstanding. Our youngest daughter, who is not athletic (as of yet) attended the Rookie Weekend and wants to go next year. It's a fun place that my kids love, and the improvement in sports skills is evident right away.

This has to be the best camp ever! I've attended this camp for 5 years and have loved every second of it. The counselors are so much fun and so relaxed. The coaches are amazing and have much skill in their sports. The food isnt the best but that's just a part of all camps. The canteen is so much fun at night. The computer room also is great for communication with your home friends and parents. Also the friends you make here last forever! The new site at 01230 is great. Although all of the facilities weren't complete this year they built the site in less then 3 months! That's incredible! Also, with one year to continue construction KSA 09 is going to be awesome! I can't wait!

This is by far the best camp I ever went to. I can't believe anyone could say anything bad about this past summer. I spent the past 4 summers at the old sight and wasn't looking foward to moving. The new camp property is great and better than the old one. For anyone to suggest that KSA shouldn't have opened this past summer is crazy. We had the same coaches and counselors plus the the courts and fields were new. KSA is the best camp around!!

The memories and friends I have made at KSA will be with me for a lifetime. That is what camp is all about and that is why KSA is by far the best around. It becomes a part of your life and part of who you are. The new location is fantastic and ofcourse it has the best coaching staff in the world. I hope KSA is around forever, so my great grandchildren can attend.

Staff was friendly and there 4 you. The bunks were nice for the girls but not the boys. Bunks were over crowded. Some bunks had 21 people and 3 bathrooms. Bathrooms and showers were a huge problem. Not enough for campers. Mosquitoes were everywhere, camp was never sprayed. They had no pool. Golf was always very big in this camp and they had no golf area on campgrounds. When they finally constructed something, it was pathetic. For kids that aren’t as sports oriented and just go because of a sibling (like me) their use to be many other choices besides sports. This summer there were no arts and crafts, woodworking, trapeze, and no indoor facilities. Gymnastics (which was only mats) and weight training was part of the cafeteria. It was way too small. There was no place for aerobics except for outside in the heat. Rainy days were spent in the bunks-boring. Bottom line-camp wasn't ready this summer. Special rates should have been offered for next summer, instead they were raised drastically.

I LOVE KSA!!! It doesnt matter what age you start going, im 16 and it was my first summer. i made so many friends so fast and i improved in sports so quickly. ive been to many camps and this is truly the best. despite what everyone says about the food, its really not that bad. the girls bunks are beautiful and spacious and the facilities are great. it's so fun and not limited at all. you can choose your electives which is one of the great things about ksa. my friends have been going for 6-10 years and cant get enough of it. even if you dont play sports at all, its still fun no matter what! i LOVE kutshers sports academy!!!

This will be my 4th summer going to KSA, and i would have to say that it is my home away from home! I come all the way from Canada just to go there! The bunks are awesome, and the kids are so much fun to be with! I have definitely made friends to last a lifetime! The coaches are very knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I was able to make huge progress in a short period of time! It is also great, and differnet from other camps because you are able to do whatever you want to do. You have very few rules (except for the ground rules of course), and you are able to enjoy your summer freely! The only downside that I found about Kutsher's this year, is that the food wasn't good. So if your a picky eater, or have high class taste buds, you will have trouble! Overall, it is such a great, warm, and welcoming environment to be in! I can't wait for next summer! Counting down the days....

This is by far the best camp out there. I have sent my children there the past few years and love it. The new site in Great Barrington is gorgeous. The fact that they survived all the years of gambling rumors speaks volumes about this place. The staff from admin to counselors are great. The love they have for children is obvious. I wish I could go back to camp.

I was a camper, then a staff member, now I send my children. A different type of camp. If your kids like sports and like sleepaway camp, send them. It doesn't get any better.

This camp is for kids who love sports. If you don't live and breathe sports, this is not the place for you. The expertise of the coaches and many of the counselors is incredible. Camp is a place where a child learns a lot and can even grow up, this place helped me adapt to college greatly and made me a better athlete and person. It even got me interested in pursuing things outside of sports, such as becoming a referee. The program is incredible, but to see the improvement of children as athletes is amazing. The bunks are staffed with excellent mature staff. Like I said though, you must live and breathe sports to want to come to this place.

This is a place where they actually treat people well and are there for the right reasons. I have sent 3 children over the past 8 years and one is now a staff member. It is a warm friendly and professional operation and the children are able to get great instruction in any sport they choose. I am so glad I found such a great place for my children. The facilities have been adequate as they prepared to move, but now they are moving to a new facility, which I understand will be outstanding.

I had a great summer because I was allowed to participate in activities I enjoed doin . I n my previous camp I was stuck with my councelor and bunkmates 24-7 here I was able to be with people I wanted to be with. I have to admit the tennis court had cracks and some on the basketball court also. If they move like they say I amhappy to be out of the god awful stokes bunk. The best was the amount of adult staff at each activity , if i had problem I was able to talk to an adult and get it straightened out. Thye coahes wer great all coached at high school or college level ,they wanted to win intercamps but don't cheat to win. The food could be better and councelors always seemed happy

I went to KSA for 4 years.. Loved every second of it.. Now about 6 years after leaving the only thing I regret about that place was not keeping everyones contact information. I used to love going out on the lake with friends.. The food does indeed taste horrible at times.. but its a camp.. and I havent come across anthing better then KSA.

The girls bunks are okay but the boys are terrible. I left camp early because it is supposed to be a sports academy and none of the girls liked sports. They are all into makeup and boys. It is a great camp for boy but I do not reccomend it for athletic girls.
