Camp Nabby is an incredible place...Rita and Joe are truly amazing as is their son, Matt. The counselors? Could not ask for more caring people...Paige, Luke, Sam, Max and on and on and on. The environment is nurturing, loving and cultivating of each child. The sports are phenomenal as is the camp spirit. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Camp Nabby.

Staff is paid badly. Some counselors are rude. Bullying is not addressed. Older campers are ignored and are bored. Overall camp experience is not fun unless you're a younger camper and you are lucky that you have nice counselors.

I went to camp Nabby long ago, the summer of 1960. I was 10 years old. I walked with a limp but could do all activities. I was treated poorly by the staff and singled out as different. The following summer my parents sent me back. I was old enough to move up to the next age group. This camp held me back with the younger kids with no explanation given. That summer was even worse. Believe it or not, my parents attempted to send me back again for a 3rd summer. By then I was getting close to the age of being two groups higher. Again, Camp Nabby kept me with kids 2 and 3 years younger than I was. I was an intellectually superior child but had my physical disability. Finally, my parents took me out of camp that 1st day and I still remember them asking the owner why! They refused to give a reason as to why I was being held back, but refused to put me with my age group. The discrimination due to my. disability was obvious. I cried for days and days. That trauma stayed with me to this very day.

My daughter has been attending this camp for about 8 years...you lose track after awhile. She absolutely loves it and I have had to give up some of my own interests to ensure that she can attend each summer. The Bertinos are wonderful, warm loving people as are their staff. I have no regrets sending my child to Nabby and highly recommend others to do the same. I can't say enough great things about Nabby!!

It makes me sad to see a few bad ratings on this site. Joe and Rita are warm, loving people. They've been in business for nearly half a century, so they must be doing something right! The grounds are lovely and well attended too!

Nabby is one of the finest camps around!!My daughter has been going for the past five years(since pre-school. Pre-school portion has it's own self contained bunk and play area for this age group). The camp grounds are beautiful! The counselors are very caring and patient(Many teachers, parents or former campers). They have three different pools. The smallest is heated to encourage the beginning swimmers while the third pool is an Olympic size pool. The swim staff are excellent and very attentive to the needs of the beginner swimmers. During free swim each pool is surrounded by life guards and camp counselors to ensure safety at all times. The schedule of the camp is a very active/structured day with sports, games, music, art, Nature studies(facility and their own nature trail)and even a rock climbing wall. Lastly, the camp is family owned and run by the Joe and Rita Bertino and their family. They make this camp very special and I wouldn't trust my daughter anywhere else.

I sent all 3 of my children to Nabby for many years. They each had such wonderful experiences. There is so much to do at the camp. The children learn all kinds of games and play many sports. The swimming instruction is second to none! All of my children have become very strong swimmers thanks to the very experienced swim staff. Nabby is the best camp in Westchester!!!!

Extremely cliquish camp. If you're into competing with the Jonses, then this is the camp for you. Don't let all of the smiles from the camp owners fool you. It's all about dollars and cents for them. They put on a great façade.

Very cliquish. Unhappy with the lack of attention my children received. Too expensive.

Horrible Experience! Counselors are fools & can't properly apply sunblock to little kids. Way OVER PRICED! A joke of a place!

I loved my summer at nabby, i loved how even when it was raining we would sit in the cabin and play fun games! I liked how itn was more like a group of friends than a group of strangers. I loved nabby!
