Camp Cherith is great! The staff are very involved and enthusiastic through out the programs. I went to this camp for 10 years as a camper and I found that, although the buildings may seem run down they are really trying to give campers a rustic get away to be closer to nature. The price was reasonable and there are scholarship opportunities. They offer a lot of skill building activities with qualified instructors. I love this camp and plan to send my children there someday.

They try hard to provide a good program with the limited resources they have, but this camp is too old and out of touch. It looks like it was fun in the past, but all the buildings are in rough shape. My kids had an okay time, but I won't send them again.

I attended this camp as a camper and then my children attended. We love this camp because of the attention to safety (ACA accredited), the carefully chosen and well trained staff which are mentors and wonderful role models. We also love the skill building activities, the evening campfires and cookouts and small group Bible studies. The site is in a beautiful setting and love the opportunity for kids to experience nature. This is a great place to learn life skills and make lifetime friendships.

I have had 3 kids go through this camp and they love it. It is rustic but they love the get away from the city. They have made life time friends with fellow campers and staff. It's emphasis on God's Word had been foundational in their lives. They don't want to go anywhere else!!!!

I was a camper the last 2 yrs and enjoyed the first year and the second year was not fun at all, I didn't enjoy it at all, it seems from what I have heard that the camp gets worse and worse every year. PLEASE try a different camp.

Avoid. Out of touch with kids and run down property. Check out the other great camps in the area.

I started off as a camper and loved it but once I got older I could see that the camp wanted your money and not the best for you. Then as staff I was treated very badly. The campers need better attention and the parents need to be able to trust the camp and not spend a lot of money THAT is not Camp Cherith. I encourage you to send your children somewhere else Hope Valley Camp is located very close to Camp Cherith and is at a VERY reasonable price. Hopevalleycamp.com

My son attended the boys program and really liked his counselor, but hated the activities. I guess they don't keep score, so everyone is a "winner". He really didn't like that. Plus the program definitely seemed slanted to female campers. The facilities are old and worn out. The bathrooms had bugs in them. I found out later that there are two other camps in the area that offer similar programs for half the price. I won't be sending him to camp cherith again.

The young staff is caring and attentive. The older staff are kinda rude and bitter. My daughter had a decent time, but really enjoyed Camp Hickory Hill's "Girl's Alive" program better. And for the price you get a lot more camp at CHH.

Find another camp. This one keeps raising prices while lower the quality of the program. The kids loved the counselors, but the place is pretty rough compared to other camps. They are going to Circle C Ranch instead and the price is better.

The summer camp counselors and the site managers are wonderful people. We really enjoyed meeting all of them and having our kids spend time with them. But, the facilities are rundown and poorly maintained. I believe that this is caused by a lack of funding not necessarily neglect on anyone's part. There are other camps in the area that have much nicer facilities and activities for the same money or even less. In the future I will be sending my children to Camp Hickory Hill or Covenant Acres instead. They enjoyed Camp Cherith and the staff, but for my money I'd rather have them go someplace nice.

It's an amazing camp! It really is a wonderful experience. You get a lot out of it, even though some of the buildings could use a little work...

It is a beautiful site with a nice pond and swimming pool. The staff is wonderful! The buildings could use some upgrades, but there have been some recent improvements.
