I attended the camp as an adult during the "peewee and parent" session and can vouch for the good quality of the program, the staff, the facility. The food was aimed at kids (hamburgers, spaghetti, etc...), but it was appropriate and the kids liked it. It is an Episcopal camp, but non-Christian kids shouldn't find it a problem -- the Episcopal church tends to be very tolerant and socially progressive and I'm certain every faith (or no faith) would be respected.

The staff have a lot of fun and are good role models for the campers. The cabins were just redone and are awesome, and the food is amazing, especially when the cook has to make such big quantities. Each camper can choose their activities at the beginning of the week for regular sessions and there are also specialty weeks which offer different opportunities. Camp Washington is a beautiful place with kind people who care about children. Many campers create life long friendships.

I have been going to camp since I was 8 and I loved every year. I love how you get to meet so many new people and everyone is so close. This camp ROX!!!

Wow... I really don't know what the first person was talking about! I love this place! I have been going for 5 years and it has never stopped being soooo much fun... and I defenitly agree with the last rater on everything. Best camp I've even been to!

Obviously the previous person had an issue with the "Christian" part of this camp...it's run by the Episcopal Diocses of CT...of course it's Christian. The camp is beautiful and peaceful, the activities are wonderful (Especially if you go to Theater Week!) and the staff are some of the nicest people I've ever known. Home away from home.
