I've been going to north shore day camp for 4 years. At first I really loved the camp and made great friends and the staff was totally nice. I was a voyager for 2 year and first year was pretty fun although the next year was terrible. The traveling is exaclty same every year and even though the price has gone up the quality of the trips has gone down by far. The trips are boring and a cheaped out we went all the way to hicksville for a stupid movie when there is a movie theater right in glen cove. They purposely did this because it was cheaper. We went to see the phantom of the opera and all of the kids were falling asleep. The division leaders are mean and even the counslers hate them. The camp used to be fine for younger kids but that has also gone down hill. The food is good as far as camps go but since the older kids have lunch last they run out and on special days such as pizza and bbq we are not aloud to get hot lunch which is annoying and not fair. It always smells like horse

This camp is a waste of money, the kids are brats, and the activities are boring. You're kids can have a lot more fun in the summer if you take your money elsewhere. Just about any other camp you go to, you'll be able to get more for your money and your kids will be just as happy, if not more.

This is a wondertul camp. Great activities... great staff...great facilities. My child can't wait until camp begins this summer.

This camp has something for everyone, from the athlete to the actor. My summers at NSDC are of making friends and enjoying new experiences. The staff are so attentive. all the division leaders respond to all calls. Best camp in New York

North Shore Day Camp is the best camp ever! I've been going there ever since I was 2 years old and I've never dis-liked anything.

My kids went there is late 90's - while I worked in the stepping stones area - I see that Tim was mentioned, he was my boss- He was the greatest - he gave bonuses out of his own freakin pocket! I was told that the camnp is not the same anymore, hard to replace good help such as Kenny and Tim in stepping stones, Andy to director and Mike the head counselor - He too was awesome.

I HATED IT!! 1 counsler was all about her! The other one was fine!! They didnt know what was going on!The counslers thought that we all made up a dance!It was only on girl in the group who was mean and bossy! She was like 1st we will do that then we will do that!I hope i dont have 2 go back agin!

The first year i weent everyone was nice and i should of known how lucky i was!!! Then my 2nd year my camp friends where mean and one of my counslers anna was so all about herself!!Some kid thought she was the best and the leader of the group!The counslers didnt even know what was going on!It was horrible!

the people who run this camp are not very nice. After they get your money, everything little thing in the camp is a rule that they impose to make life a little easier for them

When I worked there I was with the Stepping Stones group which was led by Tim - WE were the bomb - The Director Andy told me that our staff was a dream team - Tim was a great boss, he knew what was needed to do and got it done - He took care of the staff too - He had surprise Pizza Parties and gave me tickets to concert he knew I wanted to go to. - He knew how to treat his staff.
