YCC is an amazing camp. I have been going for 6 years and started in rockypoint. The food is good, the activities are fun, the facilities are beautiful, the staff were very nice and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Not recommended. This camp, although nice looking, is filled with over privileged snobs. The sole way for your child to be accepted is to have the nicest clothes, and the worst set of values. This camp prides itself on hiring anybody they find, and its easy for staff to get by the summer without doing any work whatsoever. The campers are very clicky, and are totally uninterested in making friends with any new kids. After hours, more than half the staff are drunk, and are acting out right near your child's cabin/tent. Although, the camp does have a wide variety of activities, going to camp should be about living togther with people and making new friends. At YCC, if you don't have a good friend going into the summer, chance is you won't make one and the staff won't really feel the need to help you. The mentality that the campers develop in their schools is carried on to the camp quite easily. I'd recommend this camp solely to people who enjoy being exclusive and total snobs.

this kamp is physically beautiful, but i have never felt more neglected as a camper than here. it is all about the clothes, makeup, and money. it is hard to make friends if you are not considered "cool" and there is a lot of bullying. you could not pay me to go to this camp. it is incredibly expensive, and not worth it.

I love this camp. I have really good memories just walking around the camp (some units are really far from the dining hall) I made new friends and met new people. I wish i was a camper again. You can have fun and laze around. Or hike canoe and get off your butt. Worst memory: being raded with toothpaste saran wrapped to my bed Best memory: lots but yelling who did this and almost bursting in tears but being to angry, got me some nice comforting from a girl :) The best moments of my life are yet to come i hope. But the Y feelings of being in little bunks of 8 or tents of 5 brings a nice feeling. I felt like less of a loser than the big school classes of 29 or 30 kids. There are trouble makers but hopefully they put them all in the same bunk. the same kids go back year after year and the staff stay too and know which kids to put together.

I've been going to the camp for 10 years and have loved every minute of it. It's become my second home and a place filled with memories of laughter and fun. There are so many diverse activities that permit any kid with any personality to have a good time. I would suggest campers to come to the Y at least knowing one person, as kids CAN be cliquey and it can be hard to fit in. At YCC everyone finds their place and as someone who has practically grown up there, i can say that everyone can have a great summer there if they are open minded to it.

1) dont go there when your twelve 2) very clicky kids 3) you go from one field to the next doing nothing 4) They put me with the same girl twice after they knew she ruined my summer the first time i went there 5) some people love it 6) go to a camp where your friends are and ull be guaranteed a good time 7) if you have no friends then no one will know you before and u can take a chance anywhere! Enjoy!

I have been going to the Y since I was 6. I am now turning 16. 98% of my best childhood and teenage memories are thanks to the Y Country camp. My best friend and I went together every summer and 4 of our BEST friends were made at camp. Honest to godness as corny as it sounds YCC becomes your second home. The bonds you make there are unbeleivable. The staff are SOO supportive and have helped accomidate me through some difficult years. The activities are great and the counselors are so much fun. Color war, dances, the Village, canoe trips.... millions of memoies I will never forget. The next best thing to going will be sending my kids!!! Thanks YCC I love you with all my heart.
