THE MOST FUN EVER!!! Only one month 'till I go again and I AM HYPED!!!!! I love everything about this place and I can't wait to go again! I know that some people were unimpressed with some stuff but all it was for me was GREATNESS. Made a ton of friends too!

Camp was sooooo much fun don’t listen to those comments about the food. The food there was actually surprisingly good, and we get hot chocolate and cookies at every campfire. Fun forest games and stuff. You’ll make memories that will last you a life time!

Best summer camp ever! Awesome food, funny counsellors and awesome activities. I am a transgender boy or female to male transgender, and this camp handled this very well. They were very accepting and treated me like everyone else. They also gave me a place to change and made sure all my needs were met. This is one of the only places I've ever felt like I belonged. Whoever you are, you will belong at Evans Lake. One of the best experiences of my life, definitely going back next summer!

I LOVE THIS CAMP. I went when I was younger, 10 or so. it was awesome great food, great counsellors, great games. Lots of fun. I'm going back again this year before I get too old. I have been to so many different camps and this was my favorite by far.

Best camp ever! Great staff, great food loads of fun! The best experience of my life! I absouloutely loved it! I'm definitely going to try to go back! You should totally go to this camp! It totally built my confidence, and I tried so many new things. Like I said the counsellors are AWESOME! There so funny, and almost never get mad. There constantly fooling around, cracking jokes and having fun! At the same time though their fair, responsible and very understanding if you have a problem. The food is great! I was never hungry, and they acommadate all dietry need brilliantly.We got desert ever day after dinner, as well as hot chocolate and ac cookie every night after campfire. We had cooked breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The only time our food wasn't hot was when we went on the overnight hike. I can't say enough how FUN this camp was. I loved it so much, and I made some really great friends even though I usually find making friends hard. I will remember this camp for rest of my life

Hated this place, it honestly was terrible. What's the point of waking young kids up early to make them run or swim in a cold lake? It wasn't enjoyable. The meals were small and infrequent and I was constantly hungry all day, and the staff just simply weren't very friendly or approachable.

i came back on the 20 of august from evans lake i was in the L.I.T program and had a blast this camp rocks going back next summer as work party then going as a counsiler woooooo

i don't believe in perfection but if there was one thing that could be the closest to it it would be evans lake . hands down . there's nothing else to say .

This place was a life saver when I was a teenager. Never kept the friends from school, but kept many of those from camp and related groups. Camel Citrus Nude Tacky Nestea.

Went ther for a decade, worked ther for awhile after that. My daughter now goes and I attend every public event that I can "Just to get my dose of Evans Lake"

Great place. I (eric aka "The SugerBear") went there for the first time in 1982 as a camper. Spent many Summer/Winters there as both a camper and eventually a counsellor/life guard. I also worked with Mrs Abe's school once and have visited many times. Moose, Steve the Beav, Matt B, Matt T, Greg, Bill, Will, Elecia, Greg Payne, Kevin A, Nils Tundra the skunk dog and many more of us have moved on but Evans Lake will always be a part of us that we will never forget. I hope I can go to the Open House this year #:>))

EL has been a huge part of my child/teenhood. I've spent every summer there since grade 5, and even a few winters. The staff are always friendly and fun. The old buildings just add to the quaint look. There's always something fun and exciting to do. It may have been the only camp i've been to, but I'm perfectly okay with that. <3

This camp is non denominational and teaches youth about the environment while developing excellent self esteem and problem solving skills. I went there through my entire childhood and went on to be a staff member, if only camp staff (anywhere) were paid enough I would have stayed for ever! I have taken school groups to many outdoor centres, camps and what have you and though some my have a better part of their experience I still depend on Evans Lake to provide the "Full Meal Deal". A nice point about Evans is that the whole area is remote and private, no other user group is trying to share your resource, this is catamount to the experience with youth and allowing them the freedom they need.

As a graduating field trip my class and the two other grade 7 classes went there for 3 days. I thought of it as awful the beds creaked the washrooms were disturbing, the staff were uncomfortable to be around, there were no female staff in case of any "accidents". They didn't pay much attention to us... the games and the food were the only good things about the camp...and the staff didn't pay attention to the fact that the boy's cabins were peaking trough the girls windows at night!

I went to this camp every summer for my entire teen-hood, until I was past the maximum age limit. I always had a blast, and I hope to go back as staff there one summer. Go Evans Lake!

My time at Camp Evans was horrible. Firstly, the camp looked like it had been abanded for over 20 years. So, obviously the washrooms were dirty, smelly, and you couldn't shower because the water was cold and there wouldn't be enough of the freezing cold water for everyone(I was afraid to shower there).Before I move on I would also like to point out that there is no locks on the doors in the bathrooms! The sleeping conditions are frightening. In the morning there was a rat that came into my friends room. We were all scared so we ran and it was very humilating! The activities were one of the only things I enjoyed. We all had fun. My favorite was when we went canoeing. I don't even feel like talking about the food we had because it was stomach turning. Speaking of stomach turning, the staff was freaky,weird,and if I was right beside one of them I would s*** my pants! So there you have what I have to say about Camp Evans.But before you want to go with your school,please read this letter!

EVANS LAKE........ I love Evans Lake. Its so the place to go. We have so much fun and I have made lifelong friends there. Next year i will try to become a councelor. It will be a riot.

Wow, I had no idea that a site like this existed! Evans Lake was a great camp. I went there in the eighties and nineties, so that was a while ago, but the memories are still fond and strong... I wonder if Moose still works there? That guy rocked.

I did in fact enjoy this camp, but I did not enjoy the staff. They had selective attention and seemed bored with their jobs. One wore a baseball hat all the time and looked grubby. Nice first impression? I think not. :S

I came here for outdoor ed twice, summercamp once, and I'm hopefully going to volunteer in grade 10 as well. So many memories.. The Survival game, Hamish becoming a mother, Kingaroo, hot chocolate, Alex with a battle axe.. I loved it.

I went to camp there, I was one of the counselor even if i did only spend 1 week there it was great The food was pretty good great activities....Yea I enjoyed it..=]
