Went as a camper and staff member. As a camper it's only fun if interested in christianity, or extremely patient. Hours of the day are spent sitting, listening to sermons. As staff member, they treated us terribly. We were roomed in an old building with little to no ventilation during the heat dome where temperatures were above 30ยบ. No fans, windows hardly helped. During a speech on how to deal with campers bullying other campers, the presenter said the homophobic f-slur. Other staff did not see an issue. Another speaker that came in was sexist. Complaints about homophobia and sexism were disregarded. A staff member purchased a knife with a swastika on it, and brought it onto campgrounds. Nothing was done after reported multiple times. 99.9% of staff here are homophobic. They victim blame, told us during a dress code conversation (only female staff had) that we had to cover up so men wouldn't stare. Lots of favouritism. Covid regulations not followed during peak, many new cases arose.

I went to camp qwanoes for two years, and quite enjoyed it, although I am not going to be going back this year. Although there are certain activities that are super fun, there were lots of times when I found myself really bored, un-entertained or wanting to go home. Both counsellors I had were very nice, fun and super friendly. The cabins are defiantly not state of the art, and seem more like big tents. The washrooms are okay, but could use an update. I found that they were two small and could be sometimes kind of dirty. The aqua park is very fun if you are someone who doesn't mind swimming in cold ocean water. Religion plays a big part in camp qwanoes, and there is a lot of worship, prayer and preaching but the pastors is usually pretty nice and the camp makes learning about christianity fun. Overall, my experience at camp qwanoes was fun but not amazing.

Camp Qwanoes is a great camp and I have fun every year. The older bathrooms and showers are a bit creepy but their than that its great. The food there is amazing and they try to accommodate to whatever you like to eat. Their activities are some of the funnest things I have ever done and if you go with your friends its even more fun. Its a bit expensive if you cant afford things like this but it is definitely worth it because your kids will make life long memories and meet new friends. I suggest you bring flashlights and try to send your kids with their friends because late night bathroom trips are terrifying... I definitely recommend this camp.

camp qwanoes is the best camp I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. They go out of their way to make it affordable for kids who cant afford the week there and you can tell that they honestly care about each child having the best week of their summer. The staff is amazing, the food is great, I love the cabins, I love the activities and the games. and the speakers are amazing. if you are thinking about sending your kids here, take it from me. You wont regret it and your kids will want to keep coming back summer after summer. doooo it.

Camp Qwanoes is boss , because : Everything ! & knowing that some people come from across the world to come and counsel or even just to go to the camp , it shows it's a pretty great camp . Don't hate ; Just be greatful . ?

Finally a site I can leave feedback because the camp sure doesn't want to hear it. The summer of 2011 I heard was the worse the camp had, sick kids everywhere and the staff were dead tired. My kid ended up getting sick too - poor system in place to deal with it. Really mean director yelled at me on the phone! A guy named Jay! Food is crap as so many have said. Q town is fun till the preaching starts! Waterfront looked like fun. Some bathrooms are crappy. Tents are NOT cabins! Overall not worth it, going somewhere else for my kids.

I would never recommend your camp to anyone else. The facilities and activities are amazing. He loved the freedom and time with friends. He however was scared by the Q town sessions. After your camp he was crying and confused. I have spent time unraveling the damage.Your teachings focused on all the scary parts of religion. He was told that all those that do not believe in Jesus will go to hell. He had to read until late to turn his mind off.He was also told to repent his sins each night.Many other scary bible stories were shared with him. Some highlights he shared were the end of the world, sin, hell, repenting. My hope was that going to your camp would bring him closer to God,unfortunately it turned him off. I believe your camp should let parents know how big the religious component is of your camp.Your Brainwashing backfired. My husband equates your camp to going to a time share in Hawaii:you get all the fancy fun things to do but have to put in your time to listen to the speech.

ok this camp is the BEST camp FOOD:it was prety good the had bbq some nights hot dogs qausiias pizza .. there was alot to eat and if u were vegatarian there was a vegatarian section BATHROOMS:they were alright the older ones were atleast the new ones were fantastic and the old ones i didnt really want to shower in and if you go i would suggest going in the new ones CABINS:were pretty good there were a couple u could get there were the new ones (they are amazing very nice) there were these tents...SUCKS and te older cabins which were ok kinda small ACTIVITIES: greatt soo much to choose from skate boarding aqua park challenge coure club coco alott COUNSLERS:they r awesome well mine were i got fiona and melissa they were the best OTHER:i am christan and i feel they push you to much about. Summer 10' OUT OF THIS WORLD can't wait for next year 11' Here we go HIGLEY! sugest u take ur kid

Camp was great!!! soooo much fun! the food was good, lot's of variety, i am not christian, and yes it's a bit forced on you, but for some reason, i keep going back because it's just soo much fun! lot's and lot's of activities to choose from, for some reason people expect the cabins to be like amazing, and they aren't but not many cabins are going to be amazing so suck it up and deal with it. plus the cabins ARE clean. the bathrooms have gotten alot better. There is alot of candy, but YOU choose what candy you want so it's YOUR choice if you get a ton or not. CLub CoCo has the most amazing smoothies and milk shakes ever!!! GO TO THIS CAMP!!! the couselor's are always caring and all the staff just have great personalities and energy, night games ROCK!!! I will deffinately go for my third year this summer!

The bathrooms & showers are disgusting! The cabins don't have locks and you have to walk down 1500 stairs to get down to the water & 1500 stairs on the way up. They give you way to much candy (Tuck) and there food is really really really really really gross. Also the cabins dont have heating or electricity. NEVER GOING BACK!

My child has been acouple times, and her review is, food is ok, not the best. games, the same each year just with a differnt twist. She thinks and I agree - too much tuck! (candy), staff are burnt out, tired. bible pushed abit too much, we do go to church. Cabin was a huge tent, bathroom needing huge upgrades. She did hurt herself that week and the nurse and paramedic team there was the best she said, so kind and we even got a phone call and updates. I found out no AED at the camp, a big surprise as they are in schools and pools. Overall if she wants to go back we'll let her, but we are looking else where for now. Seems the camp is spending money in other places than the cabins and washrooms.

this is and awesome camp it was my first year, so much fun!!! My counselor's were alright but still really awesome I love the activities and the food the tree houses are amazing and some of the themes for cabin clean up are amazing and Q-town ROCKS! our speaker was really caring and everyone was so zany and like random so I totally fit in if my mom let's me I am so entirely coming back! Send your Child here this place is Awesome! night games rule and no I'm not christian and most of my cabin mates weren't either. And yes it's a bit more christiany than I liked but it was stil totally amazing I loved it!And I am not becoming Christian EVER!!! SO much silliness!

Awesome Camp! The staff truely care about you and are fun and loving at the same time. Great activities. I love the prime waterfront and docks and water smorg. Challenge Course was sooo much fun, especially the Skyscraper!

While the staff mean well and believe that they are doing the right thing, this camp is pretty darned good at brainwashing kids. It's fine to want to spread a certain message, but to make children terrified of going to hell because they don't agree with your message is sick. It's a neat camp, but the way they evangelize is disgusting and confrontational, and I will never send my children there until this is fixed.

Wow, thats all i can say about this camp. Qwanoes has actually changed my life, i found god at this camp. I started going to church every sunday after my first year. This will be my fourth, and i still get amped everytime i see the parking lot and i look at the big field. Skyscraper, Screamer, Breath taker, artragous, water blob... i love it all. Russ Smith is such an amazing guy and Q-Rok at 8:05 am in the morning always makes me smile. Stevie G and the all star games!! I dare to soar at Youth camp 08 baby!!! OH! and the Banquet! SO AMAZING!! last years outside was AMAZING!!! Club Coco!!! Can't wait! see you all in the summer!! god Bless!!

This camp is awesome. The staff isnt old people they are young, someone you can look up to.. and if there is olf staff they are soo nice and possivtive that you respect them. to all the people before me... look at the focus of this camp. it says focus:religious. i agree you shouldnt be pressured but alot of people there are christians so it doesnt seem that pushie to them, i wasnt a christian.. i went there and i can say it changed me but i actually didnt accept jesus there but at home.. soo i mean its all how you take it!

Great overall camp, cabins and bathrooms could be better. I love the activities in this camp, especially the "skyscraper". Food was great, worth the money, tuck shop and the ice cream island was cheap and yummy. The souvenir shop was a little expensive though. The religious part of it was ok, but I wish we had more time for activities than religion as we only get around 4 hours a day for activities. The All-stars games were very fun. I loved the night games. I went for my 4th year already and I hope to continue into my 5th. Great camp.

This camp is the bes everyone everyone is very friendly and i loved it the first day i was there. this is going to be my third time this summer and im going to go every summer till im 18. its awesome the youth group and everyone are awesome i say its the best camp by far! everyone should try it, im not chritian and i love it there, its a place where no one will judge you and u can have the time of ur life!

Camp Qwanoes is an awesome camp with amazing people and staff. The food and activities are amazing. The councilers do a great job and make everyone feel welcome. At times this camp is very bent on making everyone christian and it sort of makes you feel guilty. I think this camp would be out of this world and would have amazing success if they focused the camp on attracting everyone

I LOVE this camp!!! It will be my 4th year, and it just keeps getting better. The counsellors are always there for you and you can tell they really enjoy working there. There is alot of religious preaching, but you should just come there with an open mind and take it all in. The activities are always so fun and exciting. You honestly leave feeling like your life is changed!!!

The best camp EVER! Lots of religious things, but it does show you more to life, not just christianity, it shows values and how to live life. There is a little pressure but you just have to stand up for yourself. The activities are great and so are the counsellors, and the proprety is ahmazing! GRREATT!

The activities are AWESOMELY AWESOME but that is the only reason anyone who isn't christian would wantto go here. They peer pressure, guilt trip, manipulate and by many other means try to convert you to thier stupid little cult. EVERY year on the last night at fireside some random person goes up and starts crying and says "My parents divorced and I always ahd a hole in my life. But this afternoon, I let Jesus into my heart!" ugh... The music is fun though, catchy and fun dancing !! but the words are BEYOND cheesy and annoying. BRING A STRONG MIND. be ready to argue your points. remember: You DO have the right not to be christian!! But this camp is not just for CHristians: The night games are BLOODY AWESOME!!! Worth it if you can sit through preaching.

most amazing camp i have been too. every second is action filled, the counsellors are so amazing, and never to busy to talk too you. they are really concerned about the safety and well being of campers,.. and the most friendly people i know. i start counting down the days to camp from the second i register in january,.. and the days are gone before i know it when i atchually get there. the cabins are great, and i dont think i have ever seen garbage on the grounds. i totally reccomentd this camp. you child will have such a great time, i can guarantee it. ive had a blast for 5 years, and plan on being a counsellor in training there next year because it is such a positive atmosphere.
