I went to camp Pine Acres(Girl Scout camp) last summer-- 2007. What I found was that the activities during the day were amazing! The problem for me was nighttime. I get homesick usually, and it was a definite problem for me at Pine Acres. I felt like the staff was aware but mostly unable to comfort me except for a few. They had favorites and spent lots of time with some and bonded, and with others didn't even memorize their names. A few nights would have been okay, but a week for me was a little much. The thing is, I know people who continue to return to Girl Scout Camps, so if you get homesick, maybe they arent the camp for you. I am not even a girl scout anymore! lol.
