THE STAFF REALLY WANTS TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE HAVING THE BEST SUMMER OF YOUR LIFE. THE FACILITIES ARE ALSO REALLY NICE. THERE ARE LIKE A BAZILLION CHOICE IN ACTIVITIES FROM JUST PLAIN SOCCER AND GAGA TO DIRT TRACK, MOUNTAIN BIKING AND EVEN THE NEW HIGH ROPES COURSE TREE TOPS! THEY GIVE YOU ALOT OF PERSONAL ATTENTION HERE TOO. EVERY SINGLE KID IS NICE AND INCLUDES YOU. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE BEST DAY CAMP EVER MADE COME TO RAMAPO!!! RID: 45116
Click to report rating    6/28/13   5     5     5     5     5   Ramapo is amazing. It offers so many activities and the counselors are very kind. Sports League is the best part because you get to learn new sports and interact with others. Ramapo is a wonderful experience. RID: 44925
Click to report rating    3/31/13   5     5     5     5     4   I'm a girl and I've been going to this camp for 7 years (as long as I could until i got too old) All the bad reviews of this camp are based on people going for like a week and deciding that they hate it, so don't listen to those people. Parents who want to sent their children to ramapo, DO IT!!! Ramapo is hands down the best camp i have ever been to and I miss it so much! Unlike most camps the food is amazing and they have something for everyone regardless of dietary restrictions. Little kids spend the whole day with their group, so they get really close to friends and councilors. Once you get to 3rd grade you get to start picking some of your activities and when you are a senior (5th-7th) you pick your entire day! The activities are amazing and they accept you whether you are a beginner or a professional. You always learn something, and the instructors really want to be there and teach you. It's not the kind of camp where people sit around all day! (continued) RID: 44148

Click to report rating    9/25/11   5     5     5     5     5   There's No Place Like It. The camp counselors are caring and their Division Leaders are superb. They let you know what is going on with your child. My kid enjoyed every minute of it. Go Ramapo! RID: 36973

Click to report rating    1/2/11   1     2     1     1     1   I went to Ramapo for one year and there isn't a better place to compare to HELL. It is a complete waste of a summer. Not only are the kids there cliquey, annoying, and have girlfriends from the age 5, they are complete jerks besides the rare nice guy (who will leave next year because he can't stand guys like a dude named Baby Bass). Also, there is no variety of activities AT ALL! There is basketball, football, tennis, soccer, etc. Great, right? WRONG! I know that although I'm a good athlete and am very good at sports, it is nice to not play sports 24/7 and do other stuff. I think the heads of divisions their are hardwired in their brains to pick favorites, not intervene with major bullying, and just be terrible. ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE BS, the only people to give this camp a 5 rating is the camp are the camp directors, b/c all the kids who liked it probably don't how to spell fun. PS People their are fat (ice cream every day) and snobby (cellphones). PS DAYCAMPS ARE TERRIBLE! RID: 34664

5/2/10   5     5     5     5     5   I loved Ramapooo! This is truly the BESTTT day camp and the best set up for sleepaway camp---especially sleep week!! The facilities and activities, counselors, owners, food, and everything sets your standards very high for sleepaway camp which is the way it should be! It helps you to find the best one for you. I always went with friends and also made great new ones here. All the activites were also fabulous, and they do an amazing job of adding electives and the perfect amount of special things as you get older. RID: 32683
Click to report rating    9/22/09   1     3     2     1     1   Too expensive and you dont really get what you pay for. Everything gets boring after a while. how many times can you go on go karts. Probably good for little kids but if your older than 6 its no good. I hated the staff RID: 31069

Click to report rating    7/28/08   5     5     5     5     5   Ramapo ROCKED/ROCKS! I love it! The staff is attentive and caring. The food is kid friendly. The kids are actually pretty nice, and the good kids totally over power the mean ones. There activities are FUN and everyone likes (if not loves them). The bus ride is fairly pleasant. I would defiantly suggest trying Rampo. RID: 25206

Click to report rating    8/28/06   5     5     5     5     4   Our son and daughter attended Ramapo Country Day Camp from ages 5-9. This is the most professional, caring, well-run, pristine day camp that one could ever imagine. Each child is made to feel special and important. As a mom with one child or another or both children attending Ramapo over a period of 5 summers there was never one little thing that annoyed me. It is first class all of the way and is run by an incredibly nice and superresponsive yearround staff. RID: 2527
