My son will be up there for his 10th year. He started as a camper at Winona at the age 10 and has loved it ever since. The staff and programs have contributed greatly to his independence and personal growth the values and friendships he learned and made will be with him forever. The camp itself is a perfect place for a young person to disconnect and get away from the "always on" world and go back to a time when you made your own fun and entertainment. The staff, most of whom are former campers, embody the positive, supportive, self-reliant culture and are able to re-instill it to new generations every year. It is truly the best of places and worth every penny 10x over.

Our son attended his 6th year and would love to be considered for CIT. He has loved his experience! Most of the counselors are former campers and so needless to say, the counselors are consistently fantastic . This camp is special! It's unusually beautiful and idealic sitting on Moose pond. Only an old multi generation camp like Winona can offer campers so much lake front and privacy. If you like tradition, and want your son to grow culturally, breathe in the outdoors, this is the place. It's rustic authentic and active. No electronics at camp gives boys time to grow and connect. We are grateful for Winona, the Ordway family, all of the staff and the super boys that choose this camp. These places are hard to find

I attended camp Winona along with my two brothers for a least 6 year piece. We all went back to be counselors too. Now older, my kids have attended the last 3 or 4 years. My kids cannot imagine a summer anywhere else but on the Shores of Moose Pond at Camp Winona. Yes, you sleep in platform tents but that is all part of the wonderful experience. Camping, canoeing, Fishing, Sports activity, & evening activities that can be wacky and zany. JUST SO MUCH FUN!!

My two boys have attended Camp Winona for years. My husband and brother in laws and nephews too. Truly the best camp in the whole wide world! Activities including traditions, hikes, mountain trips, canoe trips, sports, water front sports, tribes, war canoe races and most importantly friendships that will last a life time! The staff ratio to kids is amazing. Most of the staff were campers and now give back their love and experience to the their own campers. The staff is their to teach, listen and love your children. Camp Winona is the biggest gift I could have ever given my sons!!

Sent my 10 year old son for 3.5 weeks. Best experience he has ever had. Really good staff to camper ratio, staff are very experienced and really were on top of the game with regard to activities, challenging him to try new activities and helped create opportunities for friendships. Much of the leadership are professionals in education field and it shows. I am very happy that he experienced living in simple quarter without gameboys, electronics and cell phones. He learned so much about himself and appreciates nature much more. Fantastic place andpeople.

There cannot be a better world for a child than camp Winona. I am the father of 5 kids and all of them have attended Winona repeatedly and they all have preffered Winona way above all others. The staff is extremely attentive and supportive, the facilities are exceptional, the values are at the highest standards, and the friendships acquired there last a lifetime. It is america's oldest camp and no doubt their sucess has been proven throughout the years

Spent 4 years at Winona as a kid. Loved every minute. Nothing too fancy about it, but just great outdoor activities and a wonderful staff. Huge emphasis placed on traditional camping activities like hiking, canoeing and camping. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Great faculty. Tents and such were great. Why spend a summer in one of the most amazing place just to be stuck in a cabin?

This 100 year old camp couldn't be better. Great activities and staff and my twin boys came home from their first session insisting that they return next year for the whole summer. I highly recommend.

One of the worst camps out there. The counslers don't speak english and they treat you like colonial times. You sleep in tents without any electricty. this sucks!!!!
