Ok so I’ve gone here for the past three years and I’m gonna go again and it is the BEST the food is delicious and always different they also always have fruit and tea out to take during the day and the basic intermittent vanguard system is and was so fun and fulfilling I also imidietly made friends that will be my lifelong friends (sorry for my bad grammar ). That sad part was there was this one girl that was a little crazy as in psychotic but the camp isn’t letting her come back

This is an amazing camp. Everyone works to get you included and you find and activity that you love. I found Waterskiing and Theater with are both activities I love and all the staff and other campers work to get you included and feel welcome at activities. There are so many opportunities open to everyone who puts themselves out there. You will enjoy camp of u get out of you cabin and find what you love, but if you dont no one will force you. I love BLC it is my second home. Everything is amazing and beautiful and I am fortunate to be able to attend. There is no other place I would want to spend my summer.

Brown Ledge was a very bad camp because some of the kids their are mean. The JC's did nothing to stop the mean the kids, when I ask them too. The tennis people working their was were not inviting and so was the theater people. Even when I asked not to be in cabin with a person that I did not like because that person was mean, they put me in the same cabin as them.They also had the same actives every year and the food is bad.

Brown Ledge is an AMAZING camp. Everyone always supports you and the activities have the perfect balance between fun and challenging. In this camp you are also fully independent, which lets you have the best experience possible. It is my home away from home.

Camp was pretty great. I made some friends and I'll be going back in June. The only negatives are that some activities have a long wait and everything is closed from 12:00 till lunch and from 5 until dinner.

I absolutely love BLC! It is my favorite place to go during the summer, and I could never imagine going anywhere else. It is my true home away from home. It is such a tight knit community of friends I will have forever. If you have the option, I would highly recommend sending your child to BLC, I know I will.

When I started looking at camps for my now 12 year old daughter I read the current review for the camp I went to. I was disappointed when most of the reviews said that if your daughter is not a snob and totally into clothes, don't send your daughter there. My daughter is not at all like that so I needed to look elsewhere. I friend told us about Brown Ledge. Brown Ledge is a welcoming atmosphere built on the idea that all girls should celebrate their individuality rather then conform to a group. I dropped my daughter off today for her second summer at Brown Ledge. She was so anxious to get to camp that we had to leave at 6:30am to be one of the first campers there.

Brown ledge completely changed my life and who I am as a person for the better. After 9 summers at this picturesque, perfect place, I honestly can't imagine what my life would be like without BLC. The staff is loving and truly cares about every camper and will go to the ends of the earth to make their summer everything it can be. The culture of tradition brings meaning to everyday life and the freedom given to every girl truly allows th to grow at their own pace and blossom into their niche. The multitude of activities is insane where there is always something to do. The most impressive is the expertise that is achieved in activities, girls pushing themselves beyond a typical camp experience and, completely under self motivation that is inspired by the loving culture, truly committing themselves to going outside their comfort zone to be the best they can be. My bunkies will be my bridesmaids, my counselors my lifelong mentors and I will never be able to thank Bill and Kathy enough.

Brown Ledge is a great camp and the staff is amazing. Help is given to those who ask for it. This is a place where you make life-long friends. There are a variety of activities including Archery, Riding, Waterfront activities, and a very good theater program.I have had three daughters go to Brown Ledge and they all love it. It's a camp that teaches independence, leadership, and allows you to choose what you want to do without a set schedule. All activities are open at the same time and you may go where you please. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone and suggest you check out their site; listed above.

The best girls camp on earth! Encourages campers to make their own decisions on what to do with their day. Awesome staff are highly experienced in their activity and campers, aged 10 to 17, learn, thrive and have fun in a beautiful lakeside location!

Ahhhhh! best Camp everrr! It is my second home!! I love how much freedom you get... You get to make your own choices. I met some of the best friends of my life at BLC <3 <3 i cannot wait till next summer!!

time of my life, my second home. i dont get homesick while at camp, rather campsick while at home! the staff are well trained and friendly, the facilities arevery homey-feeling, the activity choices ensure that everygirl has something to do, there is an excellent caper-counselor ratio, and no amount of money would be too much for this camp. SO FOR ALL THOSE FOLKS THAT ARE IN THE KNOW, BROWN LEDGE CAMP IS THE PLACE TO GO. SHOOT RIDE SAIL SWIM AND DIVE LIKE A WHALE, HEY LITTLE MAMA THERES NO WAY TO FAIL!
SO STOP CRYING START TRYIN DO WHAT I SAY CUZ U KNO I AINT LYIN!

Oh my god! I just had the best summer of my life. It was the most amazing place I've ever been! The horses, the water, everything! The councilors were so nice. My bunkies were the best! We had so much fun together. The food was also really good. I really enjoyed the overnight trips too. Brown Ledge is like heaven on earth. I went for the first time and I wasn't homesick at all! I wish I had gone for eight weeks instead of four! If you want to have an amazing summer, come to BLC! I'll be there until they tell me I'm to old. Then I'll be a councilors!

My 12-year old daughter just returned from a wonderful month at Brown Ledge! She couldn't be happier and has a new sense of independence. The counselors were impressive-- many hailing from top colleges--and were highly skilled at their specialties as well as being devoted to the campers. The JCs were warm and contributed tremendous spirit to the camp. My daughter felt that she was part of a long-standing sisterhood with unique traditions, songs, and special events. She tried new activities, made new friends, and had so much fun she hardly wrote to us! She was a frist time camper and did not get homesick. There is a family-feeling and a nice low-key vibe to the camp, and at the same time the girls are highly motivated and self-assured. What a great experience for her! She really wants to go back next summer!

I have been a brownledger for going on seven years and have nothing but amazing things to say about it. all of my best friends are from brownledge and i know they are the friends that will last me forever. I have grown tremendously as a person as a result of blc and dont know what I would have done without it. those who ciritcize blc in any way did not truly open their hearts and minds to everything that it has to offer and didnt give it the chance that it deserves. blc is an amazing place and an amazing opportunity for all girls, and I know that if i have a daughter, she will go to brownledge too

I was a camper from 70-73 and my daughter is a camper for 4 years now. AMAZING experience..lifetime of friends and memories. It doesn't get better than this. not luxury but pure worth.

I attended BLC as a teenager and my daughter attended for 8 years. It is too fabulous to describe here. It is the only camp that I know of where you can immerse yourself in any activity(ies) of your choice, you get to decide how you spend your time, supported by a fabulous staff. It will change your life.

I am a proud alumni of BLC and it's great to see that the philosophy of Brown Ledge has not changed since it's founding. I was last a Junior Counselor at BL in 73 but I have been back to camp many, many times since then. It's impossible to put into words how great Brown Ledge is.

At Brown Ledge, I gained enormous confidence in myself and made lifelong friends. I competed in sailing and archery, acted in plays, rode horses, etc. I loved the chance to do my own thing, the camp traditions, the camaraderie. And Lake Champlain is a great place to sail. Brown Ledge builds character -- or lets girls build their own. The staff is first rate.

Brown Ledge is an amazing summer camp for girls. The independence and strength young women gain from the interaction with other campers and councelors is priceless. As a camper you have the fredom to you chose which activites you want to do when you want to do them. The experiences you gain from summers at BLC is unlike any other. This camp is seriously AMAZING and has made me the woman I am today!

I still call BLC my home away from home, or sometimes my home. The girls there are truly my sisters, the activities are splendid, and the people there are some of the greatest people you will ever meet. A summer at brown ledge will change your life forever.

I absolutely LOVE BLC!! I practically grew up here! My mom went to BLC as a camper, JC, and counselor, and so have I. I've made life long friendships with everyone through the years. BLC is a great place to send your daughter!

I can not day enough good things about Brown Ledge Camp. The friends I made there when I was 12 years old are still my best friends in the world, and I mean the whole world, the campers and staff are very international. I have loved being both camper and counselor and hope to continue to work there for many more summers. Cant get enough BLC!

Being able to create your own schedule gives girls a great leap into independence. There is a wonderful theatre program, an amazing riding program, and every activity in between. This is a place i really truly call home, the girls are great, the counselors are perfect at their jobs, the activity's are fun, and even the food is top notch. You really get to know everyone there with a minimum of going to 4 weeks. It's an absolutely amazing place.

Brown Ledge is a great environment to foster young girls into independency, with you being able to choose the activity you want to do or even if you want to do an activity in the first place. There are so many activities offered and each counselor is eager to teach a newbie or expand the skills already there. I never expected to be given so much free reign and instruction in one activity if I showed I was eager to learn. The friends you make at Brown Ledge are for life. Brown Ledge is such a part of my life I do not think the camp directors could keep me from being a counselor during college.
