Click to report rating    6/10/15   2     4     1     2     1   We sent our daughter and her friend to the Emergency vet camp this Summer and were very disappointed. The schedule of events looked very interesting and fun but ended up short and dull. They constantly ran out of activities for the kids to do with 3 hours left of camp to go so the teenage counselor had them play charades, duck-duck-goose, or other non-vet games to fill time. Another day the counselor brought in worksheets such as crossword puzzles to do that had nothing to do with veterinarian science. It is obviously a "babysit your kid camp". Both girls were bored to tears so us parents ended up taking turns working from home and looking after the girls. The camp is all hype and no substance! RID: 48736
Click to report rating    6/20/14   5     5     5     5     5   My child did 2 weeks at this camp and came home with really cool projects and seemed engaged with new knowledge every day. Based on the poor reviews I'd say they have certainly changed their ways. Also, she had an incident with a bug bite and the staff went above and beyond to take care of the situation. We can't wait for summer 2015 to go back! RID: 47426
Click to report rating    6/12/14   5     5     5     5     5   Club Scientific recently moved to Agnes Scott College. The facilities were great for an academic camp and the staff was caring and fun. My children will definitely be returning next year for additional camps. I now see why these camps sell out so quickly. Students come home with fun projects each day and are excited about returning! Click to report rating    3/29/14   5     5     5     5     5   I was disappointed to see the ratings posted on Club Scientific. My son has attending Club Scientific camps for the last two summers. He had a great time!!! He came home every day with a project and really enjoyed the counselors. I would highly recommend Club Scientific summer camps if you are looking for your child to experience fun while learning. RID: 47100
Click to report rating    7/26/13   3     3     1     1     1   We sent our daughter here for a week long camp. The owners put one 19 year old girl in charge of 10 9-12 year olds. The nice schedule they sent home was a lie. I would say the kids did maybe 50% of what they promised. Equipment was in horrible condition and made many of the activities impossible. Our daughter spent one day basically reading a book. Very disappointed. The camp director was very apologetic, but the philosophy here is clearly to make as much money as possible from a glorified day care. Avoid, there are many better options in the Atlanta area. Click to report rating    7/12/08   4     3     2     3     2   I was a counslor at this camp and for one I have to say that this was poorly run by the owners. They never had their act togeather and several times told us (being the counslors) that experiments wouldn't work and that we would have to improvise. Another big issue I found was that on the website it says that the camper to counslor ratio was 1:8, well one week I had ten in my class by myself and for three weeks straight one of my fellow counslors had 18! Another big issue that we had was that most days we would have nothing to do for the kids do to lack or resources or poor planning from the writers of the camp. All in all I would say find a different camp for your child because it will probably be cheaper and they will have more fun. RID: 24775
