My daughter enjoyed herself, but I would not recommend this camp for someone her age (she's 7, minimum camp age is 6): there is no shallow area or beach for non-swimmers, no swimming instruction (campers are expected to "ask" for swimming pointers!!). Her bug spray and sunscreen went practically unused for 2 weeks; she told me she kept forgetting to put it on (remember, she's only 7!). Good thing she doesn't burn easily. Also, my 7-year-old had free choice,so being alone and inexperienced, she missed out on a number of interesting activities, because she would always choose familiar ones. Looks like nobody will coach new kids to try something new. Plus, most of her crafts (including tie-dye t-shirt) got "lost". I'll be choosing a camp with real coaching and better attention next time.

We found out that campers giving counsellor's massages are common place at this camp amongst the younger campers in Monkey House(their cabins). My child told me that he was offered "tuck" for massages. There were many other campers giving a massage at the same time to the counsellor but I do believe that there should be policies in place to not allow this. I did speak to joy as well and she made excuses and said this didn't happen - I believe that my child has no reason to lie about this.

honestly, i've been to so many camps throughout my childhood. And even looking back at it now I can still say Camp Muskoka is my favourite camp memory. The councillors were amazing, I still remember the friends and activities four years later. Looking back on it now, i wish i never left. Would recommend it to anybody.

I have gone to Camp Muskoka for three years now, and have LOVED it each time. In the fall of 2010, the camp had a HUGE renovation, and the facilities are sooooo much better. The previous ratings that say the showers are bad,the food is bad, all that has changed! You used to have to shower in the cafeteria building, the main cabin building had one washroom, and the outside cabins were portables. This summer, I was in an outside cabin called Loons Landing, and it was great! It had great finishes, three sinks, two showers, two washroom stalls, nine bunk beds, air conditioning and our own balcony! I have been a big fan of this camp for it's great food(and yes, there IS a good vegetarian choice), fun activities, hilarious staff and all around awesomeness. My favourite activity has to be the Arial Park! So fun! I recommend this camp to everyone! Go Camp Muskoka!

Camp Muskoka, as I thought 'is the perfect winter paradise' as my school had taken me there in November. I had so much fun, the food was amazing, the guides were awesome, especially Flicker and Flint, the activies were so interesting that I couldn't believe time flew by so fast. I didn't buy any souvenirs because the store was way too expensive, but I have a lot of memories with me. The one thing I really enjoyed was the shelter building, it was the best. I really felt sad we had to go in only three days and the dance was a blast! I love Camp Muskoka!

STAFF WAS AWESOME! PIP AND MUFASA WERE AWESOME! The facilities were ok I guess. The bathrooms were dirty. There was gum in the shower. It stunk a bit. No blankets. The activities were great. ZIPLINE! <3. Personal attention was great! I had a slight flu, and they sent me to Club Med. The Monetary Value was bad though. It was expensive...

This camp was amazing!!!! everyone in my cabin was super nice and fun, and the counselors were really nice and fun. the guys were super nice, and the dance at the end of the week had good music and guys!! there was a super fun talent show and lots of special activities throught the week. at this camp, you really got to pick what you wanted to do and personalize the experience. the food was amazing, and there were always lots of options. the aerial park is fun, but i would not reccomend getting the full time pass because it takes up half your day and you probably won't want to go more than twice. but overall, it was probably the highlight of my summer!!

this camp is amazing i have been there twice and i am looking forward to go back for my third year. although the food is pretty good your not there for the food you are there to make friends, be outside and to have an all in all great week. the varieties of activities is endlessly and is there for everyone. you can try new things and learn about things you already knew. the staff is very nice and usually are very dedicated to there group . The cabins are nice and so is the water front the dinning area is well cleaned but the washrooms are camp washrooms alittle dirty. The camp muskoka sticks to their moto where they try and help kids to follow their dreams and they can do anything. soo if you or your child is looking for a camp to head off to for a week two weeks or even a month i wwould definitely recommend camp muskoka has the stop for all your kids needs and all of their enjoyment.

The staff was okay, expect Flint won't let us girls, go to the washroom at night. He would always be standing there with his coffee mug. But otherwise he was very nice. I liked Pip, but the joke that annoyed me was that " you dropped your pocket". Food was okay. Geo was nice, so was Lemme. I liked the campfire songs, and the dance. We went in September 2008 and we had a great time in Grade 7. Oh, yes the cabins smelled a little. We stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days

This camp is truly nothing special, The food wasn't all that great & all my cabin-mates treated me like crap! The bathroom was filthy & there was a very faulty water system that took ages just to get a tiny-bit of Hot-Water. The truth is is that the way they treat kids with Autism-Spectrum disorders has left a lot to be desired. I was never really able to get involved in anything that was going on, due to the fact that all the other campers hated me so much for some reason. It was defiantly not worth $15000!

Camp Muskoka was good. I made alot of friends. However, the price tag was not quite worth it. Also, some of the staff were a bit rough around the edges. As well, it was like sleeping at a hotel rather than a camp. There were fully air-conditioned rooms inside a wooden mansion thing. Overall, if you are into the luxury, this is the camp for you.

This camp was both good and bad. They had a counselor named Sly who was really really cool...he'd tell us stories and take us on camping trips and pretend to be like a pirate and a ninja. Also, if the other counselors were mean to us he'd yell at them lol. ive been tolots of camps and he was my favourite counselor out of all of them. But not all the staff were like him...and sometimes they wouldn't have fun things to do. I liked that it was coed and that we got to choose what to do. I think it would've been a totally different experience if sly wasn't there tho.

Excellent camp, not too large, not too small. Camp director has been in the business for years and really cares whether each child is having fun and constantly questions what can be done to change things for the better.

The best counsellors there were; Pixy, Craig, Sage, and Mufasa. Staff was great, always happy and helpful. Facilities were okay, the bathrooms were a little dirty though. The activities were fun and exciting and I enjoyed them a lot. Personal attention was quite good, a girl in my cabin had the flu and the counsellors took her to Club Med and she was fine the next day. The food was really good and they had a whole bunch of different variety to choose from it was great! I learned so many new things! I learned how to play teatherball for the first time in my life and I ended up beating everyone in my cabin! I made sooo many new friends it was unbelievable (because I'm not really a people person) and most of them, were guys! They had a 'Harry Potter' day at the end of the week and we had all these different 'Harry' activities and they were a blast! I gained SOOO much confidence because everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) was just sooo nice and down to earth! Overall, this was an amazing camp!!

Very beautiful. There were many activities offered, however, you had to sign up for them by waiting in line. I ended up going horseback riding once, and swimming the other 6 days because people would sign up all of their friends for the same activity too, thus leaving you with nothing. I happened to be there when the stomach flu broke out, and they handled it well. Fantastic showers. I gave the staff a 3 because though I had great counselors, the kitchen staff (except Gorp) were awful. They told me that they'd have vegetarian options, but they didn't, and since there was about 5 of us that week it took us rallying against them until they bought us some food. One of the kitchen girls told me to eat a tomato sandwich when everyone was having BLTs. And I HATE tomatoes, and paid for the camp myself. I didn't pay for bread, thanks. It is a good camp overall, I just picked a bad week to be there I guess.

i like this camp and all but i dont think i would go there every single summer i think will go there every other year because this camp is pretty expenceive and some of the staff arnt so nice one time they put my stuff out in the hall way beacause someone stunk up the cabin and they thought it was me. and it wasnt i think it was the girl above me and the concilor said it was me and didnt really care thus making me really mad and upset and i think i wont go bac ever agian because of what happened sooo thats why i put the staff as a 2 soooo thats why i d dont like it very much....not really a reconmended camp well in my opinion anyways...maybe not in others ppls eyes they might see it differently! well u c thats what i think about all this stuff about the camp tht i only went to once

I would imagine this camp would have been alot better had it not been the destination of our Grade eight Graduation trip. It seemed like the camp was based on many smaller children than us, as there was one central cabin where everyone slept, and no way to get out, and walk around at night. Thanks Mrs. Lloyd for bringing us there! NOT!

We sent our grandson there this summer (2006) and were totally pleased with what we saw ourselves. His attitude and opinion of the camp was top-notch. They have a very low ratio of counsellors to campers. The Leader In Training program is a good thing to have as well. I would recommend this camp to anyone.
