As a parent, I love that Camp Woodland values children putting down the technology and socializing with fellow children! My child loved going on a trip everyday and wont stop singing the COLOR WAR songs. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!

After trying numerous other summer camps in the area, we finally found THE ONE! My child can't wait to wake up for camp! Thank you Camp Woodland and we will see you next summer!

My children are already asking when they can return to Camp Woodland! I was shocked to see some of the poor ratings on this site, but then noticed they were over 10 years ago. This camp has been around since 1983 and I have some adult friends who grew up there and are now sending their children because it is simply the best! Most of their staff is school board employees and it is the ONLY "family" type camp that is around anymore. We love it here and look forward to spending each summer at Woodland!

My kids love this Camp. They love the trips and the counselors. I love this Camp because after doing my research, they have certified teachers for counselors, they love kids, and it is one price for everything but lunch.

My child wakes up each morning and cannot wait to go to Camp Woodland! THANK YOU for all that you do! Your staff is one of a kind and he has made tons of new friends. You keep the children busy and they go somewhere practically every day. He doesn't stop singing his Color War songs and can't wait to be old enough to attend the overnight trip. Thank you for giving my son a wonderful summer!

I LOVE this camp! I look forward to the summer every year so I can see my close friends that I do not see all school year. Color war and North Carolina are the BEST!

This camp was absolutely horrible! My daughter told me every day telling me how mean both the staff and other kids were. She came home crying and begging me to never send her back again. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD THERE!!! I honestly cannot see how a camp could be as bad as WOODLAND!

Pulled my 8 yr old daughter out of this camp. Staff horrible!! Kids have cliques & do not bond. Afternoon snack must be purchased instead of provided for...not even popsicles free in the 92' heat!! Spoke to staff about my daughter's unhappiness & asked them to please call me if she had any problems. They didn't. When I picked her up she tells me about a girl who took her lunch & then started making fun of her for not fighting for it. Where was the counselor to stop this ridcule?? This isn't boot camp, or survival camp. It is supposed to be fun summer camp!! If you love your kids at all...DON'T SEND THEM HERE!!!

We did basically NOTHING! The counselors were in another world and I left the camp after a few days. The "field trips" were places thats addmission was $2 and they were charging $50 per day!
