This is where I learned how to water ski! The cabins are cozy and the bug nets help to keep the bugs away at night. The dining hall is huge and the cheers and songs during meal time are so much fun. I wish that I could eat this well when I am back home. The staff is always welcoming and they do a great job of making the kids feel comfortable and supported in whatever activity they try - and there are so many activities! Sailing, swimming, rock climbing, arts, cooking, canoeing and frisbee just to name a few of my favorites. The world is your oyster at Adirondack Camp.

The people at this camp really make an effort to help you feel part of it. The staff is super supportive— I had no prior experience with summer camps, so I was super unsure (and scared) about being away from home, but now I come back every summer.
I always see how campers jump into activities with real enthusiasm too, and by the end, you can see how much more confident they become.

I was both a camper and a counselor at Adirondack Camp over several summers and I cherish my memories. Adirondack Camp provided life changing experiences! I profited from healthy personal challenges and glorious summer days filled with adventure, fun, friendship and laughter. I cannot recommend this camp enough! The setting on a peninsula surrounded on all sides by beautiful Lake George is sublime, offering endless activities, incredible night skies, caring staff, and I especially loved the cabins set among pine trees with views of the lake.

My son thinks about Adirondack camp as his second home during summer months .Adirondack Camp has had a much greater imprint on our family than I would have ever imagine.At camp my son has made many friends from around the world and has made truly life changing experiences. It takes a village to raise a child, and Adirondack camp is part of my son’s village. Since going to Adirondack Camp he is more independent, more organize, clean and much better academically. Food is always delicious and healthy, cabins are clean, and kids are always busy with sports, activities and projects. The staff is great at communicating with parents and if there is a problem they will work to solve it immediately. This camp is amazing !

Our daughter, now twelve years old, has been a camper at Adirondack Camp since 2019. She has LOVED the joy and experience of it, with wonderful friends made and fun sports and activities pursued, all in the most natural and beautiful setting. As parents, we have seen her grow, laugh, learn and come to understand and appreciate her many gifts more deeply as a result. These beneficial results are a direct consequence, we think, of the timeless principles and extraordinary work Adirondack Camp ownership, management and counselors deliver every day of every season. Learning independence, acceptance, courage, and sharing are only a few reasons I why love Adirondack Camp. The open air cabins, the beautiful, clean lake, and the diversity of kids and staff are unbeatable. Life lessons are learned while kids are having the best time of their lives. It will be my daughter's 3rd summer and she's already counting down the days until she can be back at camp learning and perfecting her favorite activities. She's been able to keep in touch with her global friends during the off-season, and she can't wait to see them again in person. The staff, and even the older campers, are so friendly, loving and open to the youngsters who are just finding their way. Hands down, it's been the best decision to send my children to Adirondack for the summer. If only I could go as an adult..

I worked here as a CIT two years ago and loved my experience that summer. You can meet friends from all across the States and all over the world. I met my best friend from Barcelona at this camp and will be forever thankful for that :) Good luck to any future staff members or CITs!

Phenomenal Camp. I went from the years 2005-2011 and some of the best memories of my life are tied up there. I had the pleasure of serving as a camp counselor during my last year, which was another fantastic experience. The unique geography of the camp (peninsula) accommodates a plethora of fantastic water activities, and the associated equipment is A+. Camp introduced me to whitewater kayaking, which remains a passion of mine to this day. My understanding is that there are even greater opportunities for whitewater beyond what I experienced during my tenure there. The food is also excellent, with a fantastic chef and crew providing excellent meals on a daily basis. I couldn't recommend this camp more highly.

This is a wonderful place for young people to learn first hand about the wonders of nature and the traditions and history of the Adirondacks. The memories made here will last a lifetime. My family first became involved with the Camp in 1952, in the days of Col. Warrick, and have been loyal fans and alumni ever since.

When shopping for a summer camp for our ten year-old daughter, we were guided by such questions as: Where could she have tremendous fun? What skills would she like to acquire? Would the place be safe and secure enough to satisfy us?
On safety and security, Adirondack offers solid references from international as well as domestic families. The camp also provides individualized treatment for each of its campers. That explains the high counselor/camper ratios. You see this emphasis on individualism and diversity in the multicultural community, caring staff, tailored lesson plans, trips and even in the structuring of fun. Diversity, security, individual care, around-the-clock fun plus sound staff recruiting & operational rules all added up to make for an incredible summer for our daughter and peace of mind for us. Our daughter came home with greater self-confidence and, as Adirondack promises, nothing short of the best summer of her young life!

This camp is my home in every way possible. I spent 10 summers at this camp both as a camper and counselor. i can't say enough good things about this place. This camp taught me how to be a leader, about responsibility, respect, courage, and so much more. I learned and grew so much during my time there and met some of my best friends here. This is such a sacred place and truly is a wonderful community. You can feel it from the moment you step foot on the property that there is just something special about it. To this day, I still visit every summer so that this place will always be apart of me.

This camp is the place I wish my schedule would allow me to spend every summer on staff. I feel lucky to have spent two summers as a counselor (canoeing and junior/intermediate boys line head) at ADK. Adirondack Camp allows kids to explore fun activities in an awesome setting, and kids are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and try new activities instructed by top notch staff who really know their stuff. Being a counselor there while my life outside of camp was in a state of uncertain transition of moving across the continent to start a teaching career, Adirondack Camp became a home for me. If I have kids one day, I would love for them to get to experience summers here.

I had the best childhood ever at this summer camp. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Yes - it's full of fun activities like sailing, waterskiing, tennis etc, but it also taught me what it means to be a part of community, how to be a leader, how to encourage others, how to appreciate everyone's strengths and weaknesses, and how to be the absolute best person I can be. As if that's not enough, I was also fortunate enough to make many amazing friends that I remain in contact with to this day. Special thanks to my parents for sending me away for 8 weeks every summer!

All 4 of my kids have been attending Adirondack Camp for the last few years, and each one absolutely loves it! They have all ventured outside their comfort zones, trying new activities, taking on leadership roles, getting to know new friends and staff members, while developing self-confidence along the way. The camp traditions continue, but each summer there are also new activities/experiences which make each summer special. The beautiful location has encouraged their love of nature and concern for the environment. Life-long friendships with campers and staff have formed and attending camp together has forged strong sibling bonds. ADK has been life-changing for each of them, and as parents, we will be forever grateful. I cannot recommend this camp more highly!

I spent 15 glorious Summers here! I started as a camper and worked my way up to an administrator. Years later my son spent 10 summers there. I love that it maintains the traditions while still bringing in new and current activities. I have made life long friendships from camp and so has my son. Our sons went to this camp for 8 summers. I am so glad they were able to spend 4 weeks every year enjoying a traditional childhood--outdoor activities with kids their own age and no electronic devices. They learned to swim, canoe, sail, kayak, and water ski. The equipment and facilities are fantastic and the staff is even more fantastic. This is a wonderful camp!

Adirondack Camp is part of who I am. In addition to its role in my family (with my father and uncle having been campers and staff, and my brother and I now attending), it's had a profound personal affect. I went in shy, immature and honestly not a great kid, but the transformation that occurred even within the first summer was extraordinary. I became more independent, respectful, appreciative of the people around me, and gained something which is a rarity in the world, but common in the ADK community: courage. I have learned to be courageous in my endeavors, wherever they may take me; and to have courage in myself, giving me the ability to do what I love without worrying what others might think. I have built so many beautiful and unforgettable friendships at ADK, and before coming here I never thought it was possible for a person to feel so warm and loved. To sum everything up, the spirit of the eagle will live on forever in my heart.

I cannot say enough great things about this camp. My kids have made lifetime friends at Adirondack and look forward to their time on the Peninsula year after year. We have always felt comfortable with the staff and management of the camp as well. Every staff member gets to know "who" each camper is. Safety is paramount to the staff as well as making sure the campers feel "at home" during their time there. I love that the campers have to "talk" to each other--no TV, no cell phones, no video games to get in the way. They learn to communicate and share who they are at this camp. Jocks can explore drama or creative arts without being picked on; likewise, those artsy types can play sports and be included without ridicule. Counselors, food, and activities are all top notch. As my kids have said for years, "thank you for sending us to Adirondack Camp--we can't wait to go back next year." They believe in the camp so much that our campers are now camp counselors at Adirondack Camp.

Adirondack is a very special place. Camp director is deeply engaged in every aspect of camp. Staff ratio is high, and staff are well trained. Camp is able to needs and interests of kids of very different temperaments. Both campers and staff have incredible loyalty to camp, and many return for years. Facilities are rustic, and setting is gorgeous. No nternet for the summer is healthy for over bred city kids. Activities are diverse and creative. Water activities are superb. Lots of personal attention, and a recognition of the unique needs of each child. My kids have dramatically different styles, yet both fell in love with camp.

This camp has been a huge part of my life and I know it will continue to be. The place itself is amazing. There is no better place for a camp than on a peninsula on lake George. The location also allows for a wide variety of fun and exciting activities. Although the setting and activities are amazing, it is the people who make Adirondack camp a truly amazing place to be. The counselors are incredible at making life at camp fun while still having complete control and supervision over the campers. The environment created by the counselors also allows for the complete integration of all campers despite age or gender. People are so friendly and open you'll feel like part of the adirondack family the minute you step on the peninsula. HOW ADK!!!!

Honest to god, the best place on earth. The people, memories, activities, traditions, counselors, owners, directors, views, cabins, basically anything you can think of is great. Been going there for eight years and I plan on at least eight more. It's actually hard to put in to words what this place means to me. With out ADK I would not be the person who I am today. ADK has taught me so much over the years. Basically anything you want to do can happen. The camp is based entirely off of the campers, not money at all. Campers can pick what ever they want to do for that week, and if they don't love what they picked they more than likely can change it. The counselors are also great. A lot of them were campers before they were counselors so they really understand the true essence of what it takes to be a counselor at ADK. I honestly don't know what I'd do with out this place, and I wouldn't trade a day at ADK for anything. Really truly is something special. HOW ADK!

Excellent Camp - from a parents perspective. Great activities, excellent staff, and you know they WATCH the kids make sure they are safe, and behave and don't get in trouble.

I also attended as a camper and later spent many years as staff. The values, traditions and unwavering believe that campers should have a safe and supportive environment to be and challenge themselves are core reasons why this camp has sustained itself for over 100 years of continuous operation. Located in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Northern Lake George, Adirondack Camp offers a wide spectrum of traditional summer activities. The waterfront is of course one of the Camp's greatest assets. Sailing, Swimming, Kayaking, Waterskiing, Canoeing and Fishing are favorites. The staff members are all exceptionally skilled in their activities and many have attended this camp as children. This fact brings a deep understanding and creates a common bond between campers and staff as to the importance of a positive summer camp experience. The summers that are shared between campers seem to last a lifetime and the friendships made there, are those that withstand the test of time.

I went to this camp for many many years as a camper and as a staff member. It has shaped who I am as a person and I wouldn't trade any second of my Adirondack Camp experience for anything. The staff are educators with a love for teaching. They all have expertise and certification in their various specialties, and bring about a huge amount of fun and trust to the camp. You will not find a more beautiful location for a summer camp. A penninsula located on a beautiful glacier lake, one of the cleanest lakes in America, in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. The activities are extremely varied with a strong emphasis on waterfront. The trips program is a no brainer being located where they are. The staff certified and very knowledgable about the local trips areas. They cater the trips to all ages and all abilities. I went to this camp as a kid,then I was a counselor and now my child attends. It is filled with traditions yet keeps current for today's children. There isn't a more beautiful camp anywhere!!
