I attended Walden for 9 summers and had the best experience. Walden introduced me to my best friends. Walden truly cares about each individual camper and staff. All my best memories come from Walden.

I spent ten summers at Walden from the mid-90s to mid-00s. It is a beautiful camp. Though it's very big - each unit is made to feel like it's own village, giving it a homely vibe. The facilities are maintained very well at there are tons of activities to try. When I was there it could be cliquey, but that never took away from having an amazing time summer after summer. I would definitely recommend and hope to send my kids there one day.

Everything about walden is absolutely amazing. This is my 6th summer and I couldn't have had a better experience. After being a camper for so long I have now become a staff and although I miss my cabin I grew up with Im so glad that now I have the opportunity to be the best staff I can be just like my staff were to me. WE ARE ALL WALDENERS

i have been going to Walden for my sixth year now and i absolutly love it. if there were things that i could change it would be making the canoue trip optional, at the same time i love the memories that come out of them. the peopple i am with can sometimes get on my nevers but overall i love them. the counsaller's are dibatably. sometimes your going to have a bad cousnaller but who cares ignore her/him. i think walden is a great camp and overall it should be rated hire. and thats from somebody going for a sixth year now.

BEST CAMPP EVERR!these ratings are so old and very very false.i cant even explain how amazing this camp is!!! the water front is the most stunning thing i have ever seen.

Walden gets better and better every year!!! Last year was the best summer of my life!!! I totally disagree with these old ratings...

I went to walden this previous summer in july and i hated it. i had major problems with my counsellor. she hated me but i hated her much more. it took the camp 3 weeks to finally let me go home. my parents were horrified tht these problems had started at the beginning of camp but my parents only found out about it 2 weeks after i arrived. a ton of counsellors smoke and its really bad for the kids because they stink like a cigarette. the food is good. if u do go to walden make sure you're careful with ur counsellors cause if u have a counsellor like i did, then ur screwed. if u have any problems i sugest tht u go right away to the director and dont waste ur time with the unit heads.

The staff are hired based on popularity. Education at all is not valued at this camp. Children should be raised to seek knowledge everywhere, this is not the case here. It is actually discouraged. Kids attending this camp will not gain anything positive. If you want or have self-centered and greedy kids send them here.

I HATE THIS CAMP! everyone was so rude and selfish. I spent many nights cryiong there and will never go back or put anyone hrouhg the horrible things that i experienced here!

I DIDNT LIKE THIS CAMP AT ALL! All of the girls who go in first month are terribly terribly mean and the whole camp is a popularity scale! it was horrible! just standing there makes you want to go home! i admit... some people are extremly nice and i love them to death, but when it come down to the over all experiance... i had a horrible time and it was a waste of my parents valuable money. the food is good. but the camp is WAY to big so it takes about 30 minutes to walk to the dinig hall every morning. The counselers are nice but they dont really care about the campers. They're more concerned about themselves and their new chanel sunglasses. I learned only 1 thing from this camp.and thats to never go to camp walden ever EVER again.(btw this only goes for first month... second mont is really fun and every1 is really nice)

i hated this camp i went there for many many years and liked it at first but as the years went on i started to hate going every summer... now i go to another camp and i love this one. so i strongly do not recomened you to attened Walden.

Nice facility, however the mandatory canoe trip is a disapointment, it should be optional, my child hated it, and decided not to come back for that reason. My child missed out on great facilities at cmap because of this horible canoe trip, harly sailed, water skied or swim lessons. Also should have carnival both months. TUCK SHOP WOULD BE NICE, INSTEAD OS SENDING UP OWN CANDY. I FOUND A CAMP THAT DOES NOT MAKE MY CHID GO ON A CANOE TRIP, SORRY WALDEN YOU LOST MY CHILD OVER THIS.

Our children experienced bullying unchecked by owners. Then they tried to make it our kids' problem. Younger children are exposed to mature topics and mating as counsellors here seen pre-occupied with the opposite sex. However, great facilties and activities. Good for children who never attract bullies or perhaps for those who are bullies.
