Camp Tamarack is the best place to send your kids. The counselors are so kind, and really care about us. The activity staff really get the kids to participate by being friendly and encouraging. The food has gotten better in the last few years, and they're always doing new and exciting things to keep camp fresh and exciting for everyone. I would go to Tamarack over and over for the rest of my life if I could! Love love love camp!

Camp Tamarack is the worst camp in the entire world! For 2 years in a row I went with my best friend but made no other friends because all the kids are bullies. The counselours are so mean, they push you into the water and force you to eat food that makes you throw up. Almost every day the counselors (Carly and Meren) singled me and my friend out and embarrassed us. I had a counselor CHASE me down the ski docks when I didn't want to go water skiing and PICK ME up when I refused. Horrible illnesses like Gastro constantly go around camp petrifying campers. The activities are boring and you dont learn anything. One of the girls in my cabin put dirt in my bed, stole my mp3 player and overall made my camp experiance the worst one ever. Please don't send your children here. Instead I reccomend Wahanowin!

Camp counsellors were mean and did not watch the kids. Camp counsellors did not deal with bullying that was happening in the cabin and instead bullied the kids who said they were being bullied. Although the activities were awesome and the activity staff were the nicest people at the camp, the camp was not good. Food was awful. Counsellors forced kids to do things they did not want to do for example, counsellor threatened camper with not allowing her to do something she enjoyed because she was frightened to do ropes. Bullying in cabin was not addressed by counsellors. For example, one camper taped an outline of a box on the floor for her shoes and no other campers were allowed to step in the box. When one camper did step by accident in the outlined box, the camper was pushed by the bully and the counsellors witnessed this and did nothing and instead defended the bully.

Camp Tamarack is a truly amazing place to send your children for the summer. The staff are well trained, supportive, and nurturing to the kids. The programming is creative and absolutely phenomenal. My kids loved all the activities! The camp food is incredible as there are a variety of options, including a full salad bar at lunch and soup bar at dinner. The camp communicates effectively with parents frequently and in a timely manner. The camp website is easy to navigate and the videos posted throughout the summer really make parents feel a part of the action. Tamarack is a warm and welcoming environment where your kids will make friends and memories to last a lifetime!

I have NO idea who are writing negative or neutral reviews...Camp Tamarack is AMAZING!!! My child has been going for 3 summers and is begging to continue for many more summers to come. The camp is clean, well-run, organized, FUN, safe and inclusive. Every child finds a place for themselves and the wonderful staff are right behind them the whole way! The food in incredible! The selection of amazing activities and innovative programming makes it possible for every child to find something at which they excel or enjoy. It is near impossible to have a bad time. And for those that criticize the new owners I say they are crazy...it was time for a change and the new owners are JUST what that camp needed. Change!! New ideas! Fresh perspective! It was time for the old guard to leave and for a new generation to bring in their ideas. Camp Tamarack will be around for a long time with the kind of quality summer they are providing the kids.

This is by far the WORST camp. The food was gross it made everyone sick, the cabins are tiny and they squeeze so many kids into each one. The staff make kids uncomfortable. I tripped a few years ago there on a root from a tree, i went to the nurse and she iced it for me...turns out i had a cracked ankle!!!...yup thats why i have a permanently damaged ankle.Idiots.

it is a straight line (it is impossible to get lost) don't miss in basket ball- the court is on a big hill!!!

I had a horrible time. The counselor yelled at me just because his daughter slapped me. I hate it because since the girls are nearby they always harass me.

The beds broke all the time and mine fell down twice in a month! The cabin's are gross and covered with gum and writing and the toilets are outside. I got hurt in a storm walking to the outhouse!

Howie and Kathy are great! They really care about the kids and provide a great summer program. I also like the fact that when I call them, they get back to me quickly and put my mind at rest. Both my kids have been going there for years and they have had amazing summers. Thank you Kathy and Howie for all your hard work to make Tamarack the best camp ever!

This camp is about kids! The owners, Howie and Kathy Kates, know every child in the camp. The staff have incredible energy. Memories are made here that will last a lifetime.
