Overall, the structure of the camp is great. However, they frequently make last minute changes, do not communicate them, and then get frustrated when you are not following these changes. I worked here for 4 summers out of convenience, and it was one of the most hostile environments I have never been in. If you went to Camp Sewataro growing up, great, they will welcome you with open arms and you will fit in. If you did not, you will be isolated, shut out by fellow employees, and not be able to participate in events that the camp runs but chooses strictly campers-turned-employees for. If you are a college graduate, teacher, childcare professional, etc, you will still be getting supervised by an unqualified college kid, just because they grew up at camp. Pay is also terrible. I was making $11 an hour while having a Master's degree in education. There are hundreds of other camps in the area, don't work here.

Camp Sewataro is the best camp in the area. The facilities are unbeatable, the staff are passionate and enthusiastic, and the schedule is dynamic and engaging. I have worked on the staff for five years and I can't imagine working anywhere else.

This camp is defietly meant for kids that don't get along with that many at school and it helps build good social skills. I would not reccomend if you like to play competitfly because it is more of a everyone wins participation camp. I got very sick of this camp because it felt like school. Everything is on a shcedule and you have to stikc with your group the ENTIRE time.

A little expensive but it's like being at a sleep away camp.

Camp Sewataro is really in a class of its own. It is not a school operating as a camp in the summer. The grounds are beautiful - like walking through the woods in Maine. It is hard to believe such a setting is located so close to Boston. The program is traditional and diverse, ranging from sports and crafts to music studio, zipline, and climbing. Best of all are the counselors - truly outstanding and caring people.

this camp would have been better if it hadn't rained and there was some where to go when it did. When it rained the whole camp (150) would be cramped into a long cabin singing the songs over and over again. also it is a better camp for people who like to be "rah rah we're the best and you can't beat us!" very competitive. if you went there for all 8 weeks the first half is great and then people leave and new people come for the next session. but, it would just be like starting the whole thing over again, they would explain everything again! i wish i went for only 4 weeks, it is enough!

I attended this camp for 5 years when I was younger and then worked when I was in high school. Everything at Sewataro is "TOP NOTCH" from the staff to the facilities to their attention to detail is/was extremely outstanding!!! If you truley love your children and care about their safety and well being you will find a way for them to have the ultimate camp experience at Sewataro! I can't wait until my daughter is old enough so I can send her. These were the best summers of my life!

I attended sewataro for 5 summers as a child before heading off to sleep away camp. These summers were amazing and only but good memories. As I got older I knew I wanted to become part of the staff at Sewataro. I always remembered the staff being outstanding. I am now going back to Sewataro for my third summer on staff. The Taylor's are amazing to their staff and do everything in their power to make the campers and staff have the best summer possible. The training that the staff goes through is extensive and it is our number one priority to ensure that campers have the best summer ever! I can't wait for summer 2009,as I am sure it will be even better than last summer!

My children have loved attending Camp Sewataro. They had prior camp experiences that they had enjoyed, but after attending Sewataro they realized what they had been missing. Their swim lessons are superior. The staff is caring and fun. They really care about the details. Every day is fun and exciting and each week is a little different from the next. Highly recommend Sewataro!!!

Sewataro is an unbelievable camp! I have attended/worked at many camps, yet Sewataro remains the most well-staffed, spirited and positive camp that I have ever experienced. My summers at Sewataro instilled in me enthusiasm, confidence and the ability to work well with peers, which I might not have otherwise acquired to the same extent. I truly believe that my Sewataro experience has been influential in shaping who I am today.

I would reccomend this camp if you stay for like 1-2 weeks but if you stay a month it can get kinda boring.

I love this camp! It is good for all ages, 4-13, and it is boy and girl. Activities are assigned by age and gender, and it is very well run. Many people put their time and effort into making this camp amazing as can be! I think that this camp beats all other camps competing with it! Go camp SEWATARO!

I love this camp! I dont think there is any camp like it. The activities have great varieties, and the counselors are very well picked and placed. I love the staff there, and know most of them by name. This is my 8th year there, too! It might not be a sleepaway camp, but it is great for campers from ages 4-13. Talk about variety! If you have to pick a camp, PICK SEWATARO!
