I feel privileged to send my children to this camp. My 11 year old attended last year and was upset to find out that there was no camp on the weekends! This summer I sent both my 12 year old and my 5 year old. They both loved it. As a previous reviewer commented, they came home filthy,tired and happy every day.They are taught to respect the earth, craft using recyclables and learn so much about nature. The camp is located on a working farm so the kids have access to a hay loft and can see the cattle which roam on a separated grassy field. Facilities are rustic. There is no swimming pool but when the weather is very hot, they do have sprinklers and other types of water play. They also can canoe and hike in the woods. They learn all sorts of songs and old games I have never heard of. After camp is over my older child will continue to mention things they did and learned at camp. My 5 year old was VERY sad when his camp session was done. They can't wait to go again next summer.

Free Spirit is one of those rare life-changing places where children discover their own amazing selves. This place is authentic, and even years later the experiences here will carry a child through many crises of growing up.

A wonderful experience for our 5 year old son Adam. Even months after camp ended he still reminisces about the wonderful times and staff from Free Spirit Nature Camp and anxiously awaits going back. The enrollment fees were very reasonable compared with other camps and early drop off for working parents is available which was very helpful. The counselors were great and very attentive to our son and we were very happy with the camps philosophy of teaching children respect for the earth while 'creating a caring, vibrant, diverse, unforgettable camp experience' The fact that he came home from his first week of camp dirtier than he has ever been with a big smile each day and singing camp songs he had just heard for the first time assured us we had made the right choice in selecting a camp.

This camp is amazing, I have gone there for as long as I can remember and I can't think of any day I didn't come home with a huge smile on my face. I don't know how to explain it other than, you just have to go and experience first hand just how truly amazing this camp is. I wait to come back every summer, and It's the best time of my year. I love the staff, and all the friends i've made over the years. It's an unforgettable time in which you'll have all the pleasure of learning and having an extreme amount of fun at the same time. Singing with Gabe and Tanner is so fun, and all the staff is so nice, friendly and caring. I recommend this camp to everyone! I can't wait for summer 2011

This is my daughter's 2nd summer, it is wonderful.Children are happy and get to enjoy nature and learning without all the glitz, but nothing is compromised regarding fun and learning.

I LLLLOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEEEE FREE SPIRIT!! I have gone here for 8 years and it is AMAZING!! If you love being outside and doing nature crafts, hiking, and being creative, this is the place for you. In short, COME HERE, IT IS AMAZING!!!!

This camp is just what it's name states. Free Spirit! There is a profound respect for the individual spirit of each child. Each child is taught to honor each other, the earth, and every living creature. It's a wonderful experience for children who are restricted to the typical classroom situation. What a great summer break!
