Click to report rating    1/9/25   5     5     5     5     5   Been there for around 4 years now and is always a big highlight of my summer , staff are so kind , activities are awesome. I love it no matter what but suggest going with a friend , super fun that way . RID: 54149
Click to report rating    5/14/17   5     5     5     5     5   It's a great camp. I've been there three times, and the first time, the food wasn't great, but then they got a new kitchen staff, and now the food is amazing. Don't complain about showers, they have twelve showers and 120 campers. Beds are much better than most. Don't blame the staff for whiny campers who would rather have hung out with their friends all week. It's overall a good camp. RID: 50718
Click to report rating    3/17/15   5     5     5     5     5   Excellent camp. I read some of the reviews on here and some people need to check themselves - the problem is your whiny kids, not the camp. It's a 5-day camp so obviously your kids won't shower on the first or last day, and you can wash them at home. So if they only get showers on two of the three remaining days...that's not really a bad thing. The person who said her kids overheard the councillors comparing campers between weeks - it seems extraordinarily unlikely, and maybe you should consider that your children are exaggerating (or lying).  8/11/13   1     1     1     1     1   My 2 daughters have just returned from session 5, their first experience there. They have no desire to return again, after hearing their comments and honest feedback of their experience I was compelled to review this camp. their cabin smelled of urine, they were offered only 2 showers for the entire time, and when asked to have a shower the excuse was given maybe tomorrow, we don't have time. They were promised certain activities from their camp leaders that were never fulfilled which led to disappointment. The options for a variety of foods were very limited, and no snacks were offered when they complained of substantial hunger. Rude comments from counsellors were overhead by the children. Example: session 2 was the best not like session 5. One male counsellor was very strict and rude. Hostility was within their own group with arguing and name calling between them which was not handled properly or resolved. Very sad and disappointed about their negative first camp experience!! Click to report rating    7/30/13   1     1     1     1     1   My daughter worked here as a councillor and on her support week (week she did not have a group) they (camp Warwa) worked her for 15 hours a day and she is only 17!!! Cleaning toilets..8 hours of kitchen work, ect..There is just no respect to the staff and the facility is falling apart..the kitchen is discusting..flys everywhere RID: 45444
Click to report rating    6/9/13   5     4     5     5     5   We have sent our kids here several summers and they have always come back with more good to say than bad. I have myself spent a couple of multi night school camps there as well. As far as I am concerned it is exactly what camp is supposed to be. Food is fine I never experienced the greasy burgers ours were fine. The camp councillors were excellent, always kept the kids busy and having fun. Other camps I have been to have had a cut off time for the councillors and after that you are on your own trying to keep everybody amused and not fighting. At Camp Warwa they keep everybody going right up until bed time. As a parent I can say the price is very good. We went to a YMCA camp in Kananaskis which cost 3x as much and we were very dissapointed. Even my kids told us it was a waist of money and said they would much rather go back to Camp Warawa. So in short foods decent, showers are hot, toilets flush, Beds are soft and the councillors are excellent :) RID: 44703
Click to report rating    1/12/13   4     3     5     3     3   The activities were fun and enjoyable! Unfortunately the food wasn't as great. When we had hamburgers it was probably 20% meat and 80% greese. When you looked into the bowl after you were done eating the burgers, there was a pool of greese. The foods there are gross and made most of us sick. But the staff are great and the experience was Amazing. RID: 43378

Click to report rating    6/18/06   3     3     4     3     3   Moderate, the kids there had been going there for years and were really snobbish and cliquey. The juice sucked. RID: 963
