A wonderful place, where you can make long-lasting friendships for years to come. This will be my fourth year at camp, and I can't think of a better place for a kid to go to camp. Activities are great, lots of safety precautions, and a great water program. Sailing, tubing, and banana boating are my favorites. My suggestion for someone who gets homesick easily is to bring a friend with you, or to start out with a one-week session, and if you like it, go for two weeks the next year. Although most of the other campers are very nice, they can sometimes be clannish, and t's nice to know someone. All in all, a great place where you will have a great time.

Camp TBird is my home away from home. I have been going for almost 9 years straight and it's one of the only things I look forward to all year long. The friends you make at camp are friends that you will keep throughout your life. I guarantee anybody who goes to camp will have a good time! Whether it's dancing in the dining hall, running around camp at evening programs, or just hanging out with your cabin, you will have a blast. I know that next year my goal is to become a CIT and eventually become a counselor. The counselors at camp are people that I look up to and hope to one day be just like them. I strongly recommend Camp Thunderbird this summer!!!

This year I whened to camp thunderbird. It was a good expirenct . I think if your not so into sports then this is not the camp for you. Some of the staff weren't so nice.

When I went four years ago I had a very poor time but came home with lots of stories about the other campers. I was not treated as an individual there and the staff were focused on getting their gold bandana or whatever and not on myself who was horribly homesick and needed comforting. The facilities were run down and the showers gave me athlete's foot (my fault, wear flip flops) and there wasn't air conditioning. It was an oven in the cabin.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TBIRD!!!! Amazing camp , fun for every age, awesome food, awesome everything! Been going for four years straight can't wait for my 5th! i love love love thunderbird!

My 11 year old daughter enjoyed Thunderbird for the first year, but became extremely homesick (She was 8 then) and the staff did not do anything about that. The food was mediocre. During the night my daughter told me that the counselors went outside the cabins and yelled at them to be quiet. Overall, not a very good experience. The second year was slightly better. She enjoyed the digital media class they had, but was still homesick and miserable. Not worth my money.

I love Camp Thunderbird!! 2012 is my 3rd year and it is so amazing there!! it's the BEST thing about summer!! i am sooo adicted! the counselors are amazing and so is the food and by grandparents live near by and my mom went one time an dloved it!!

When i went, the food was DISGUSTING and it was awful to eat. and when i was going to my activities, the counselor didnt even tell me where to go so i got lost so many times! i fell on the cement on the last day and my knee was gushing blood and no one did anything about it! the pool is disgusting and green! tons of people peed in it. it was supposed to be cold but it wasnt. When you went canoeing there was no one even there to watch you. me and someone else go stuck on something and couldnt go anywhere. At most of the activities, you didnt do anything. the counselors also need to be more responsible because once the counselor was late to rest period and forgot to set the alarm clock and we were all an hour late to our activities.

I went to this camp for 2 years, and I loved it the first year. Its really a great camp if you love sports, but if you're like me (not really a sports person), its not the right camp for you. It also does not give you ANY freedom whatsoever, so I think it is a better camp for younger kids as opposed to teens. I was placed in a cabin I hated and they wouldnt let me switch out, I ended up eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches everyday because the food was gross, one of my counselors was sooooo mean, and the counselors did not really seem to care. I got stung by a wasp and it was not until a while after till they even LET ME put some cream on it...the evening activities are also terrible and the showers are freezing cold. I also found lots of bugs in my cabin..

I have spent the past seven years at this camp as a camper and I am glad to spend my time there. I am glad to call it home for the four to six weeks I go every year. The location is great, I always have fun, I always feel safe, and most importantly everyone who workers there care about the camp, its campers, and have taken the time to perfect every detail the camp experiance from the cabin to how to assure that every camper has fun. I am glad to go every year and I can not see why anyone would not feel the same why I do.

Great camp. Luke, Marcus and Jake were my counselors. They really got to know us in cabin 16! Activities were good, but not much other than sports. Many great memories were made there!

i love it, i love it, i love it!!!!its sooo much better than any other camp!!!! their is sooo much 2 do there, and the challenge course is amazing, camp thunderbird will never bring u down!!!

it is the best camp ever. I can't wait for the Wet Willy(aka a major water slide) I love meeting new friends and seeing old ones.

This camp is for ages 5- 15. It has great counselors and is on a huge lake, so it has a great place to swim, kayak, etc.
