Click to report rating    11/29/08   5     4     5     5     5   Staff was friendly and energetic. Dining hall facilities or choice of cooking in sites. Activities were fun for all ages. Older scouts had opportunities for Higher Adventure. Each troop was given attention and allowed to plan Troop Activities each day around camp. and Overall Value was Great! RID: 27750

Click to report rating    2/22/08   5     5     5     5     5   Many Point is a great camp for scouts and troops of all abilities! The three different style program camps all offer the same program and advancement opportunities, but each has a different meal plan for different style troops; One has a dining hall, one has complete patrol cooking, and the last has a system where you cook breakfast and lunch, and dinner is delivered to your campsite already prepared in hotstacks. There are many different merit badges offered for scouts, and Many Point is not a "Merit Badge Factory", the scouts must earn their merit badges!! (I am glad that they give partials to my scouts if they have not fully earned the badge, NO HANDOUTS!!) There are, of course, all of the great troop activities that allow troops to work together as a unit, using the patrol method and their scouting skills. My scouts especially enjoyed the Flintlock High Adventure area, where they went on kayak-overnights, huckfinn raft, and COPE, as well as the challenge outpost!! MPSC is GREAT!!!! RID: 20566
Click to report rating    1/15/08   1     1     1     1     1   This camp is horrid. The staff is lazy and unaccomadating- they went out of their way to be rude and intimidating to my first-year Scouts. Also, they didn't learn anything from their merit badges. Not even practical Scout skills, like cooking. They have dining halls here. I wish I would have known this, but I took over as Scoutmaster in February. We are not coming back this year, RID: 19017

Click to report rating    1/11/07   1     1     1     1     1   Overpriced, most likely due to the plush facilities. This is more of a YMCA camp than a real Boy Scout camp. My boys didn't learn any practical Scout skills, such as cooking and patrol duties, and the staff is very egotistical and unwilling to work with troop leaders. RID: 6682
Click to report rating    6/19/06   5     4     5     3     5   This Camp is GREAT for Boy Scouts. I went here when I was younger and at the time I was having a really bad time, missing my parents and it rained and we had to run to the storm shelter in the middle of the night. But that's the value of Boy Scouts, roughing it. You rough it too. Sleeping in tents with no ground, having an outhouse as a bathroom and using showers that are outside. For the mess hall you look forward to your meals and you really get to remember the food for the next year when you say "OH! Remember those sloppy joes we had last year! I can't wait" The Food was all together good. I will also always remember the closing ceremonies and all of those times you saw Skits and met during the evening right by the lake. I hope that when I have children my boys will become Boy Scouts and have the Many Point Experience. It will always hold a place near my heart. RID: 984
