The attention to safety, and care of our girls has always been extraordinary. We love Girl Scout camps - Especially River Ranch!

Typically a great camp, but rather lenient on camper-on-camper sexual assault and harassment. Counselors did little to stop a camper/"wit" after getting reports from multiple campers of that camper sexually assaulting and harassing other campers, and also did little to ease their concern. They allowed said camper to return to living at camp with the same group next summer for "wit 2" and even gave them preferential treatment. There are many good things about this camp, and few other bad things I can think of to say, but just know that staff do not take necessary measures to make campers feel safe around other campers.

I've been going here for seven years and it's my favorite place in the world. The camp, especially the lake, is beautiful. The counselors are positive, fun, and well trained. You have fun, make new friends, learn about the world around you, and gain independence. The camp prices are a bit on the higher side, but there is a tiered pricing system and you can raise money by selling cookies if you're a scout, and the quality of the camp makes up for it. There is a good horse program at the camp if you like horses, and a lot of leadership opportunities as you get older. The main downside of the camp is the amount of walking required due to the camp's size, but it gets you in shape and you can spend a lot of time talking to your new friends while you walk.

An awesome camp always had a great time attended for 5 years and always looked forward to every year its a bit shorter but I normally did 2 sessions so I spent a little more time... I would go again in a heartbeat I recommend this camp to anyone even if your not in Girl Scout everyone is welcome and the focus is not on girl scouts... The horse program was fun I did it 2 of the year I went but overall preferred something else than horses I like being able to do other things but that was just me...

Attended and worked there for the last 9 years and love it! Always come out with lots of new friends and always look forward to going back!

Worked here last summer and loved it! Will be returning this summer. Great lake with lots of swimming and boating!
