Apogee is an incredible adventure camp with trips planned throughout the world. Our three children have participated in trips in North America, the Caribbean, and Europe. (14 trips total) The counselors have all been intelligent, caring and inspirational to our children. They are throughly vetted and trained in Brunswick Maine and are extremely prepared for the trips. Also, the founders Chad and Kevin are very passionate and hands on with the operation and have an amazing staff that is completely accessible in Maine. We have recommended Apogee to many family and friends who have all had great experiences. The itineraries and very well planned and researched to areas that are all magnificent. We have returned to many of the cities and sites that the kids experienced on Apogee trips. I would not hesitate to book a trip with Apogee if it is a first experience for your child or if they are seasoned campers. Apogee is top notch on all levels.

We have 2 kids that have participated in several of the programs offered by Apogee. All trips have been amazing. The leaders are well versed in kid dynamics and create an accepting, playful, respectful and supportive environment. These trips provide kids an opportunity to find and challenge themselves. The apogee staff are great at communicating when issues arise and the daily log is something parents look forward to every evening. This program inspired our kids to pursue additional outdoor opportunities, build life skills and take on other challenges in life. In a post covid world and with mental health being a top priority in kids well being , Apogee excels at providing a safe challenging space. These programs are worth every penny and I can’t say enough good things about Apogee and how it has helped my kids grow.

Two of my sons have done 9 trips between them. They have all been phenomenal. Apogee founders and managers are completely available to answer and and all questions. They are incredibly thoughtful and honest with their answers, and are unbelievably organized and thorough. Each one of my kids trips have had extremely qualified and fantastic leaders. They have been roll models, and have gotten them interested in activities and colleges that they wouldn't have thought of otherwise. They manage to find the nicest, brightest, and incredibly competent young adults, to lead and facilitate a great time. This program, unlike other popular programs, actually vets the kids., and is not a program for wayward kids or a reform program. Each trip has been transformative in their own ways, and my kids always come back happy confident, and more independent. I cannot say enough about this program. They have both made lifelong friends, that have positively influenced their life. #thebestprogram

My son has done multiple Apogee trips from age 12 through 18: The counselors were terrific. The directors Kevin and Chad are very responsive to any questions or concerns a parent may have regarding safety and well being of campers.i also appreciate that it is a phone free trip so that there are no distractions and the campers in the small group really bond. Apogee is a great investment in any child’s summer.

Our son, now a college freshman started doing Apogee trips when he was 12. He did Cape Cod & the Islands, VT to Montreal, Caribbean Service Adventure, Pacific Coast Adventure, America Coast to Coast, Maine Coast College Essay, Maine Coast Photography. His experiences on these trips has been invaluable in terms of helping him become the confident, articulate, and compassionate young man he is. With each trip, he came home happy & more independent! He has made lasting friendships & established rapport with people from all over. Our initial plan was one summer to get him out of his local “comfort zone.” It turned out to be the greatest blessing! Kevin Cashman and Chad Olcott as directors are vested, sincere and remarkable in terms of the effort they put forth in hiring outstanding staff to lead children on different adventures safely! The trips are fun andwell organized from start to finish!! I highly recommend Apogee as the BEST summer programs!

What an AMAZING summer experience for kids!! My 3 children each participated in Apogee trips for multiple summers and loved every minute of each adventure. They did numerous different trips including Cape Cod and the Islands, Montana, Coast to Quebec, Vermont to Montreal, Europe Coast to Coast, America Coast to Coast, and College Essay Trip. I cannot say enough positive words about the staff, the leaders, the organization and the memories created. Apogee gave our kids a sense of independence and taught them perserverance and stamina. The friendships that developed lasted through the years. Apogee is extremely responsive when it comes to communication and any issues which may arise. They are completely dedicated to their program and have highly qualified trip leaders. They are simply the BEST and I would have no hesitation in sending your child on an Apogee adventure!

Both of my boys have done multiple trips with Apogee, and they have LOVED their experiences! Their trips have made a huge impact on their lives, and as their mother, I can see the difference every time they come home. Truly, we have been nothing buy impressed from start to finish. The leaders they choose have always been phenomenal, the care they obviously put into planning the trips is apparant, and the office staff are always so helpful and patient whenever I call or email. I couldn't recommend them more highly!!

My granddaughter selected to return to Apogee after enjoying last summer. This was a really HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and she will never go back ! THINK AGAIN before sending your child to APOGEE ! The trip was to Puerto Rico with Untrained NEW hire counselors ! The counselors had the Teens set up there own Buddy/Teams and form CLICKS that left out others and were allowed to tease and Bully Them ! ABSOLUTELY NO SUPERVISION ! NO CONTROL of Negative Social Interaction, did Nothing when she was CRYING and very upset ! DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE AND SEND YOUR CHILD TO **APOGEE**

Great experiences, regardless of the trip you choose. Leaders are competent, responsible, and just plain nice people! Safety was always top priority on my daughter's trip (a bike trip). Apogee office staff very responsive, and usually reply to all questions within an hour or so! Daily photo blog is a fantastic way to get a sense of how things are going. Would highly recommend!

This was the best time of my life and personally meeting Chad made it even better i am working up to acc or america coast to coast! Furthermore for the person who commented that was not giving a good review and if you are a parent who wrote that it is probably because you forced your child to do therefore he had a very bad time.

My 14 y.o. son traveled on the 300-mile cycling trip from Freeport, ME to Quebec City, Canada (Coast to Quebec). The experience was fantastic for him, and our family was delighted with Apogee’s support, communication and leadership. Owners/Directors, Kevin and Chad, were available from our first inquiries about their summer programs to post-trip evaluations provided by their outstanding leaders. We had many questions about cycling gear, camping gear, safety, food while on the road, clothing, etc. and the Directors were more than pleasant helping us through the details. The best review came from my son. His group safely pedaled to Quebec, worked as a team and had tons of laughs along the way. His CQ Facebook Group is currently discussing their choices for the next big Apogee Adventure. Highest of recommendations!

Very good experience for my children. Owners were excellnt people, and leaders are all good role models. Good camp for a child who wants some challenge. All trips have an itinerary, and are either bicycling or hiking. Campers learn to work in a group, and depend on themselves and each other to accomplish their goals. My children have done multiple trips, and always come home wanting to plan their next trip. Highly recommended experience for the summer

This 1camp was amazing. The food was great considering its camping not a 5 star resturaunt. The leaders were outstanding. We will be going back to Apogee next year for camp with out a doubt
