I witnessed bullying of a friend of mine who had a speech impediment. He was repeatedly teased and ridiculed by other kids, and the camp did nothing to stop it.
Racist and homophobic jokes were prevalent among the campers. What stood out to me most was how consistent this behavior was year after year. And nearly every year I attended, I was placed in a different cabin usually with a different group of kids but these types of jokes were always present. That consistency made it clear that it wasn’t just a few bad individuals, but part of the broader camp culture. No action was ever taken to discourage or stop it.
There was also a troubling hookup culture among the older campers, especially in Kochot and SITs. It was common for boys to sneak into the girls’ cabins at night. This behavior was not only ignored by staff it was sometimes even reinforced, some of the younger male counsellors would openly share stories with their campers about things they had done during their own years a

This camp is perfect to traumatize your children. If your kid naturally has a bully personality they will do just fine, otherwise your child will be miserable. The head staff here will personally hold it against you if you are being bullied and suffering because of it. Not to mention the fact that if your child need urgent medical attention (ie. respiratory distress, needing a tetanus shot from the broken bottles shattered all over camp) you will not only not be provided this by the camp “nurses” who have the same ability to help you as a school nurse, but when your child is writing home of how sick they are and you contact the camp concerned; camp director Liza will lie to you saying the issues are resolved and your child saw a doctor. In addition the camp will not contact or allow your child to do so at all not matter how ill or injured your child is.The only staff who are compassionate are the Israeli staff who say that the camp feels like prison, worse than their time in the army.

I was bullie at this camp and nobody noticed, so i do not particularly like it. Although, it is a good camp. This rating is kind of influenced by my experience there.
