I loved spending every summer at Wapanacki, and attended camp there for eleven years (from the time i was 5 to the age of 16). I had a great time every summer, including the year where I was a staff member (the last year the camp was open). I wish the camp was still running. I made some of the best friends I have ever had through the camp, and I truly miss spending my summers there. I last year the camp was not as great as it had been due to changes in the administration of the Girl Scout Council, but it was still the best camp I have ever been to.

THIS CAMP IS HORRIBLE MY SISTER WENT HERE FOR A YEAR AND SAID THAT THE COUNSELORS ACTUALLY CALLED HER CURSE WORDS! DO NOT BOTHER SENDING YOUR GIRL HERE!! IT IS HORRIBLE PLACE WITH NO MEANING!!!!

Honestly, I went to this camp 2 years ago, and I thought it was terrible. You have to follow your counselors around all day to boring activities. Mine were twins, Maggie and Emma, and I found them obnoxious. I was in the cooking program, yet they wouldn't actually let you cook anything, they deemed making muddy buddies 'not safe', and I was 12! The weather was terrible, the tents were gross, and the food was nothing to write home about. I was homesick because it was so bad... I would not recommend this camp! It's terrible with a capital T!

My daughter went there from age 6 to 11 and enjoyed it every year. She still enjoys going to Fall weekend camp and hopes to return another summer for high school age programs. The staff was always great. The buildings need to be renovated. There's much interesting history there. A very peaceful place, beautiful in the fall.
