Click to report rating    7/2/13   1     1     1     1     1   This camp treats employees like slaves. For 8 weeks of camp they are paying staff members $2.10/$4.10 dollars an hour! This is not how we should be treated please help us! We are fed once a day and are forced to work 10 hour days for less than 40 dollars a day. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!! RID: 44973
Click to report rating    11/12/12   4     5     5     5     5   This camp is truly an amazing experience. I had heard about this camp for a long time before I finally decided to join them a a S.I.T. (Staff in Training). This was one of the best decisions I could have ever made. I worked as a S.I.T. for the month of August in the Monkey girls cabins (Ages 4 1/2 to 5 1/2). I honestly thought this camp was spectacular for the most part. As a S.I.T. you get the experience of a staff member as well as a camper, you get to see the differennt points of views. I will say that the reason that I rated the staff a 4 instead of a 5 is because not every staff member is good. Some of them do pick I favourites with the campers. I will say that these councellors are very few though. FOr the most part the staff members were loving, encouraging, hard-working, and responsible with the campers. I recommend this camp to everyone and anyone! Trust me you will not regret it one bit. RID: 43018
Click to report rating    7/13/11   1     3     2     2     1   I registered my son to their special needs program and they provided a one on one for him . On the first day of camp after one our the director call to complain so I had to withdraw my son from this camp. I registered my son in December and I indicated that he has special needs. The director was more concern about what me and my husband does for a living and where we got the money to pay for my son camps than learning about his disability. Horrible snubish people. RID: 36380

8/23/10   5     5     5     4     4   The staff are so attentive to detail and responded to all of my inquiries and concerns that I felt very comfortable leaving my 2 young children here. They are enjoying themselves immensely while learning a great variety of sports and skills. The bus ride is included for free as well as towels and lunch which is very parent-friendly. Will definately attend again, register early since I tried to register in January and only the last two weeks of August were available! RID: 33843

8/2/10   1     1     1     1     1   I did not appricate the way the consullers here treated my daughter. They made little ductape squres on the floor and when she stepped out of the square they would yell at her!they have to get changed in a room with a bunch of othergirls completely showing there privates and in the room there was a big window into the boys room. One day my kid came home and said that she was swimming and she saw poo in the water and they didnt clean it. On visitors day i saw how unclean the pool was. disgusting camp. i hope you make the decision not to torture your children by sending them to bayview glen! RID: 33595

Click to report rating    11/3/08   5     4     4     4     4   I think that age of Lynx would enjoy it more than other age groups because of the activities! When you first go to BVG you think it is really cool, but as the years go by, you kinda don't even think about changing camps because it feels like you know everybody, and everything and you know you will miss the stuff that you did in the past. The staff don't force you to do anything you don't want to do, and they will give you privacy when you need privacy. A really good feature about this camp is that their are overnights. You get to enjoy fun stuff with your cabin and other people that attend BVG.If you want you don't have to do the overnight at all, or leave at 8:30. If you want, instead of going on the bus you can do parent pick-up and parent drop-off. Now it is a rule that counsellors must take their children to the car or leave them with a SIT. Staff in training. Overall it is a very good camp. A fun feature is making cheers on the bus and getting candy for your bus depending on point RID: 27279
Click to report rating    7/13/08   5     5     5     5     5   My daughter has attended BVG daycamp for 8 years and loves it more each year. The camp has always been a fun and supportive place and parents can rest assured that their kids are in great hands. Love it love it love it! RID: 24803
Click to report rating    6/22/08   3     3     2     1     4   Okay. The fun you will have at this camp is completely based on your cabin and your counsellors. It's fine until about Tigers, when most people in the cabins are snobby, stuck up, and really mean. It's not even really camp, there's almost nothing to do outdoors. The food is pretty bad and most of the counsellors are just 15 year olds looking for jobs and really don't care about the campers. Also, chances are if you don't like this camp, you won't like Muskoka Woods either. RID: 24111
Click to report rating    5/23/08   5     5     5     5     5   I love this Camp! The People are Nice and Supportive and It's the best camp in Toronto!I've never thought the food was bad. All the bad reviews are NOT true! Come here and have fun! ^_^ RID: 23353
Click to report rating    2/26/08   5     5     4     4     5   i love this camp.. going into my 11th year here im biased.. but this is my 3rd year working here.. its not an outdoorsy type of camp. its more for spoiled kids now.. but its still amazing!! RID: 20706

Click to report rating    9/1/07   2     2     3     1     1   I sent one of my kids to Bayview Glen and it was horrific. The camp director was abrasive and unaccomodating. My child has ADHD and the camp knew this before the summer began. They refused to make any accomodations for my child, and they should have never stated that their camp could work with these types of kids. I would never recommend this camp. There are much better summer camps in the GTA. RID: 14786
Click to report rating    8/31/07   1     1     1     1     1   This camp sucks t he people are so rude, and the food is worse than the school food. I used to go there when I was little, I can't believe older kids actually go there. Its for little kids! RID: 14742
Click to report rating    8/8/07   2     5     2     1     1   If this camp were all indoors it would be great A nice air-conditioned theatre but nothing for the kids outside! One activity they have is computers. They really need better programming and stronger leadership RID: 13752
Click to report rating    7/18/07   5     5     5     5     5   I LOVE YOU BAYVIEW GLEN!! 11 years so far... probably 11 more!!! koalas to tigers... all are the best!!!! RID: 13096
Click to report rating    6/28/07   3     2     2     1     1   I went here for years. After a while, everything went downhill. Even the past director knows that, because she left to start another camp. Seriously, no one cares about you. All the girls in my cabin were so mean. The activities are... alright, but you get sick of rock climbing and arts and crafts. Most of the people are stuck up. Try another camp, like Muskoka Woods. RID: 12554
Click to report rating    5/15/07   5     5     5     5     5   I have worked at this camp for two years (this upcoming summer is my third). It is one of the best places to work. I've never had so much fun before in my life. Everyone is friendly, and the kids are amazing. After last summer, I wasn't going to come back, because I knew taht if i came back again, I would just keep coming back again and again, and never stop. But I couldnt help it, and now I'm back again. After my first year, I convinced a bunch of my friends to work there as well, and they did. And now, they wish they were coming back because of all the fun they had last year. It is one of a kind. Click to report rating    2/20/07   2     2     2     5     3   i had great counclers...the cooking (dirts and worms) was the only fun i had! dont buy the lunches there or be prepared to PUKE! RID: 7964
Click to report rating    1/15/07   3     2     1     1     1   I went to this camp when I was in gr.2. They were really annoying. Some staffs were really nice but some were really annoying. In the swimming pool, a kid pooed in it once. It was really annoying. Now I go to their school and it is a total waste of money. Their food is simply awful. There is always hairs or some sort of weird things in it. It sucks! They don't really pay attantion to you, they just flirt away. It is disgusting! NEVER GO THERE! Tell your parents! RID: 6799
Click to report rating    11/10/06   1     1     1     1     1   I went to BVG when I was little, everyday I would come home and cry myself to sleep because the people there were really snobby and mean. RID: 4811
Click to report rating    11/9/06   2     5     2     3     1   Amazing indoor facilities but nothing good outdoors. The ratios are AMAZING but the quality of camp has been going down significantly over the years and simply is no longer worth the money. RID: 4764
Click to report rating    11/4/06   5     5     5     5     5   i loved this camp i went 1 summer but then when the new people took over it sucks and the best chef in the worl RID: 4579
Click to report rating    9/24/06   3     4     3     2     3   I used to go there and I just didn't have much fun. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. RID: 3436
