Beautiful camp in the tall pines on a lovely crystal lake. Counselors from all over the world make the camp a cultural melting pot. No internet or tv, a great way to unplug and let the girls be girls. I could not ask for a better camp for my daughter. She is so sad when her session is over and we have to head back home.

I sent my child here and came back with her crying. She said that all of the counselors were incredibly mean to all of the campers and the food was terrible. I remember one of my friends going to this camp when she was younger and saying that the facilities were falling apart. I also know that this camp does not have a very wide range of activities unlike some of the others. So, my advice is DO NOT SEND YOUR DAUGHTER TO THIS CAMP or she will have the worst summer ever.

I went to this camp in the early 70's and it was FABULOUS. I just reviewed their website and could see in the photos and in the songs that it is the same nuturing camp with incredible spirit and comraderie. Definitely consider sending your daughter. She will come to love the mountains, hiking, swimming, singing, being creative, making incredible friends...

I smiled so much my cheeks hurt the month after camp finished. Take a little bit of ginger, take a little bit of grit, take a little bit of sunshine just to make a hit dadada. take a little bit of spirit, take a little bit of pep, put them all together and you've got waukeela's rep----- utation mmmmmmmmmm of ginger, mmmmmmmmm of grit, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm of sunshine just to make a hit dadada. mmmmmmmmmm of spirit, mmmmmmmmmmm of pep, put the all together and you've got waukeela's rep! BTW you should be able to give waukeela 10.0 out of five!
