My son went here for six years and was outside all summer playing sports. The camp focuses on helping each boy out with personal growth and personal goals and each counselor has a personal relationship with the children. It was excellent!

I went to Agawam as camper and now sending my son. Outside of my parents, it guided my moral compass more than any other influence. As a parent, it is critical for my son to unplug and get away from the regular school stress and focus on things that he wants to do. A much more valuable summer than having him play summer league lacrosse for coaches with the primary motivation of making money...not making better people. Once I got over the fact that the results of parenting are judged over a lifetime, not whether he makes a travel team next season, the difficult decision to send my son to camp for 7 weeks becomes a much easier decision. He always comes back from camp a better person...physically, emotionally and mentally.

This camp changed my life....literally. I started attending when I was 13, needing direction and struggling from family issues. Agawam gave me the opportunity to challenge myself and excel. It's a ton of fun, but more importantly, hits the nail on the head with character development and culture.

I was a camper from age 11-15 and a staffer from 16-22 and have continued involvement as a donor and volunteer. This place changed my life for the better on all fronts. My best friends and role models in life are from Agawam.

I've gone every summer since 1999 and this year is my first as a counselor. It's great! The activities, atmosphere, and most of all, the people are what keep me coming back year after year.
