Best camp my children have experienced! More outdoorsy with lots of nature to explore. Absolutely beautiful setting! dd (14) spent lots of time at the lake. ds (12) likes the swimming pool. (they said you pick what you want.) My kids got to do things they've never done at any other camp (zip line, climbing). For my part, the price is right. (we did the early payment discount.) They're going again. My very hungry teenagers said there's lots of food including seconds. They also said that for snack time, only water is served. The other drinks are only for meals. They say the best part is making friends.

2 sons, ages 13 & 11, went for 1 week. Spiders over the beds and in the bathrooms -should have been sprayed. Did not see the lake there. No access by the boys. Video makes it look like it is right there. For the price, they should be at the lake and riding horses every day. Ran out of lemonade halfway thru the week. Could only have milk with cereal. They did like the food but couldn't always have seconds. Older son enjoyed hiking Seneca Rocks and white water rafting but 11 year old did not do those activities. For money, should've had more activities and more food.

A wonderful "back to basics" summer camp. Small camp (140 campers is the max per week) where everyone knows each other. The activity offerings are quite extensive, but definitely geared towards outdoors activities (horseback riding, canoeing/kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, mountain boarding, rafting for the older kids, outdoor living skills, various sports, etc) though there is plenty of music, drama, and art to go around. The kids come from a variety of different backgrounds (US and International), the counselors (also very International) are caring, enthusiastic, fun and supportive. The administration is very communicative/easy to contact and does a hugely impressive job turning over some portion of the campers every week. Most kids stay for 1-2 weeks, though my 8 year old stayed for 3 and wants to go back for 4 weeks next year.

My son went to this camp for the first time in July 2012 and had a great experience. The online registration process is very simple and organized. The follow-up confirmation and communication from the camp office was also thorough and professional. We especially liked the pre-camping online activity & interest survey (lots from which to choose!). Reading about all of the available activities got my son even more excited about his upcoming stay!

I absolutely loved this camp. I wish I'd heard about it earlier so I could've gone more than once. The counselors were wonderful, and the activities were fantastic-- I can't imagine anything better than the white-water rafting trip. The location of the camp is breath-taking.

My daughter spent two weeks at Camp Hidden Meadows last summer - a first sleep away experience for her. She came home delighted - new friends, new songs, new skills, new confidence. It's not a super fancy camp, but they have cabins and a lake and a zipline and horses and arts/crafts and a the right mix of kids and staff to make it all work. I'm sure there are fancier camps, but this one was just right for us, and we'll be back...
