Extremely disorganized, staff is not experienced enough, director makes excuses instead of trying to solve problems, field trips are unsafe and inappropriate for young children with not enough chaperones (Santa Cruz Boardwalk at age 5 ?!) Just a total disaster. Do not send your child here.

J-camp was awful. The staff was way too young to be working with children and they didn't seem to have much guidance from the people in charge. The director is rude and instead of addressing my concerns with ME, she told me it was a counselor's fault. Later I heard she fired that counselor. It was NOT the counselor's fault. It was the director's fault for not having a well-trained staff with appropriate activities for the children.

The camp was slated to be a fun place for kids to learn about Jewish culture while doing traditional camp activities. Instead, it was disorganized and chaotic, with many things going wrong at the last moment. My child was very unhappy and I pulled her out after the first day. The director was unresponsive to my concerns. With a little work to iron out the problems, I think this camp could be an A+ experience for all children!
