I started at Creative Summer when I was 4 or 5 years old and came back every summer until I was old enough to be a CIT. I love the camp and all of the class options they offered. I found my love of acting from taking the Curtain Call class each summer.

We have tried a lot of day camps in the area and Holton is the best. The variety of classes, the attention to detail (communication from camp) and the updated facilities make it worth the money. Truly an impressively-run operation. 10 yr old girl and 8 yr old boy are very happy there and will return next summer.

I love creative summer! I am 13 now, and I have been going since I was three! Once you are seven, you get to choose all of your classes. Rey have so many options!! They have everything from cake decorating, to sewing, to hip hop, to lacrosse, to swimming, to acting, to instruments, to academics, to 2-period classes where you can go on daily field trips!!! You can even write for the camp newspaper!!! This camp is so fun and you can also camp with a friend to make sure you have classes together!! At the end of each three- week session, there is a camp carnival. At carnival, there is pizza, performances, sports games, an displays of what you have been working on!! I recommend this camp to all ages!!

Although there are many varied and interesting activities, the lack of attention by the staff meant that my children is not enjoy this camp. My 8yo girl was treated like a high schooled, left to find her way in this huge school from room to room at period changes. Between her 5 different classes, there was only a single girl who was in two classes together- she did not get to meet any new friends. My 6yo was treated better, as the group (dolphins) stayed together all day and did the same activities. But both of them were just placed in front of a TV set for after care. The counselors just kept to themselves while the campers veg out in front of a DVD. Luckily we only signed up for a single 3 week session, so they could have an enriching fun summer the rest of the time (at Sidwell Friends). Also drop-off is a mess, and my girls just wandered around the first day, until they asked a counselor for help. Two different drop off locationss, so they did not even have each other.

I was a camper from 4th grade to 8th, and have been a CIT for the past two years. I love Creative Summer. My colleagues are awesome, and my campers are fantastic. Everyone really, genuinely cares about both the campers and the staff. And it certainly helps that the head of camp loves to feed her employees (Yay donut day!!!). :)

I worked here for 2 summers--one as a CIT and one as a Junior Counselor. This camp made me passionate about working with kids. It is run with the variety of activities as a sleepaway camp, but it is a day camp. The camp truly cares for its campers and reaches out to help them. As a CIT, I came across some issues..my CIT coordinators were more than happy to help me! I am still best friends with some staff that I worked with and I still talk to some of my campers who truly feel that this is such an amazing camp. Highly recommended. I currently do not work here because I am at sleepaway camp, which CS gave me the desire to do. However, I'd go back to CS in a heartbeat
