The owner of the camp has been cutting back in the camp and having less staff do more jobs. My sons counselor last year had 3 specialty jobs besides a bunk counselor. By the end of the summer she had fired so many counselors she could no longer fire them even for a valid reason. She overworks her staff so they do not enjoy their role with the campers. For the cost of this camp I would expect moo. We will look for a different camp next summer. Where the staff and management care about campers.

My daughter (now age 15) has been attending Camp Nashoba North for a few years now and has LOVED it. When she went her first year, she did not know anyone. She has made wonderful friends from across the US and world! She has enjoyed working hard to earn badges in both archery and stand up paddle board (two activities she has never tried before attending CNN.) She looks forward to returning every year. She loves the counselors, other campers and activities, as well as the food. This is a fantastic camp and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted to provide a wonderful overnight camp experience for their child!

My daughter had an amazing experience at Nashoba this past summer. Sarah Seaward and the staff thought of everything to make her feel welcome and part of the community as a first-time camper.
There are so many wonderful and diverse activities to choose from! My child loves all the many water sports on gorgeous Crescent Lake. In addition to all the daily activities, there is cabin bonding and full camp nightly activities. The atmosphere at Nashoba is kind, open, and full of warmth. My daughter is so excited to return.

The first time we went to Camp Nashoba North it was just for a visit. My daughter fell in love with it and wanted to stay the rest of the summer. In fact she cried leaving (and she hadn't even stayed overnight. When she did get to go last summer, she had a fantastic time, and asked if she could go back for the entire 8 week session this summer. The camp is in a beautiful location, and offers many activities for the campers. But beyond that, the staff are amazing. The Director, Sarah Seaward, clearly places a high priority on hiring only the best staff, and creating a sense of family for the campers and the parents. I love that my daughter can participate in such a varied group of activities, and has the option to choose. She is so excited to return this summer.

Camp Nashoba offers a nurturing environment for your child to explore numerous traditional camp activities. The counselors are positive role models that leave a huge impression by instilling a keen sense of belonging within the diversity of camp. Second generation family owned, the Seaward's direct a top notch program on beautiful Crescent Lake in Raymond, Maine. Set upon spectacular grounds, your child will enjoy a wide range of activities that will spark imagination and wonder. Give your child the gift of childhood memories that will last a lifetime and whose benefits are beyond measure

My boys have been at Nashoba for four years. Each summer they grow and return far more independent and confident. The property is absolutely beautiful - the boys rave about the lake and the water activities. They have tried many new things I could never offer them at home. (pottery, rock climbing, theater, woodshop, arts and crafts, windsurfing, waterskiing...) They love Nashoba and talk about it all winer - they are counting down to summer 2017!

My daughter is about to leave for her 3rd summer at Camp Nashoba North. She loves it! And as her parents, we love the confidence and independence her time at camp has given her. She has tried so many new activities from SUPing to pottery to archery and returns each year to her favorite activities riding, animal care and rock climbing. The camp staff is always friendly and kind and very supportive. They all make an effort to get to know all of the campers quickly so anywhere you go, you hear people greeting you and calling you by name. The staff are all qualified college age students who have summer camp experience and excel at their given activity. Finally, the camp has been run by the same family for years. They truly love what they do!

My teen son attended Camp Nashoba North for the first time this summer and is already talking about getting a job there when he grows up! There're amazing selections of activities for sports lovers and artsy ones. He grew so much over the 4 weeks, gained valuable skills and friendship that'll last lifetime. BEAUTIFUL on site lake. Can't ask for more - we'll definitely come back!

The best camp for my son, relaxing yet very active. The camp is filled with all possible varieties of summer activities and the staff is very kind, knowledgeable and very helpful in overcoming any obstacles. As a parent I like the most the fact that kids don't have access to any electronic devices. My son came home rested and relaxed.

I really loved my time at Nashoba. It was my first time staying away from home for four week, and I was quite nervous. As soon as I entered the Nashoba campus, all the handshakes and smiles eased my nerves. As soon as I met my counselors, I felt extremely comfortable. I made friends at Nashoba that I won't soon forget. I never missed my phone or laptop, and didn’t even use my iPod. Nashoba offers great freedom, and an ability to create a new identity for yourself. I relish that it isn't only sporty, or only centered on performing; you can be anyone or anything you want.

The summer of 2012 was my first summer at Camp Nashoba North, and it was the best summer I have ever spent. There are so many things to do there, so many new experiences to be had. It was the first time I had ever been away from home for an extended period of time, and all the people there were very kind. All in all, Cam Nashoba North is one of my favorite places to be.

My daughter has attended Nashoba for the past two summers and it has been the best camp experience she has had in her ten years of summer camp. For a first time sleep away camper, she adjusted quite well which was due in part to the home away from home feeling that she felt early on. The staff is amazing and she has made friends from all over the world that she stays in contact with throughout the year.
Nashoba has practically every activity imaginable -- from various sports, water activities (on the amazing on site lake), and the arts. The variety of activities have enabled her to do things she has never done before such as
water skiing.
Surprisingly, what she talks about as much as the activities and friendships, is the ample variety of delicious food. She is looking forward to summer 2013 at Camp Nashoba.

Camp Nashoba North was the best summer camp I have ever attended. I looked at a few other camps in Maine and I'm very happy I chose CNN. I made some of my best friends there!

This year, I will be heading into my third year. Not all camps are right for everyone so explore the website! The staff are great, and would be happy to help you with any problem that you have, but you have to ask them; the staff have other things they are responsible for in addition to your personal needs. The only problem with staff is communication from outside of camp. We called the camp in order to speak with the director and she failed to call back. Eventually, we got a hold of her through e-mail, but you have to keep in mind that the staff is busy providing a great summer experience for your child, not sitting in the office answering calls all day! There is almost always someone in the office who can take a message for you except during meal times. The activities are tonn of fun and vary from week to week. Not every activity will be provided EVERY week. They mix it up for variety and for expected attendance for the class. I loved the Toppers program. I would recomend this camp!

There is a reason why you go back to this place over and over again...it is simply a wonderful place for children to grow and to make meaningful relationships that last a lifetime. The staff are caring, the facilities are top notch and the Seaward family instills a sense of family and community such that everyone from anywhere in the world feels welcome and cared for.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Spent nine of the best summers of my life there and miss it every summer I'm not there. Have made friends for life, and it's been over a decade since I've even been there. A truly magnificent place.

Amazing in all categories. Directors take the time to make sure each and every child is having a summer to remember, and the staff (from around the world) is first class. I was a camper for 11 years and can't wait until my kids are old enough to go!

My experiences made me more confident and gave me a place to call home. Beyond anything else the leadership at the camp is amazing. They truly care about each and every young person (staff or camper) they connect with and not just during the summer. Once you become part of the CNN family - it is for life!
