The staff are young, but enthusiastic about leading these kids. The camp is rustic and kind of old fashioned, but great for the value! After reading the comments from an earlier date, Daniel was my child's counselor a few years ago and he loved him as his leader. He was disappointed when Daniel was not there this past year, because he really wanted him again. The story about the wreck may have been delivered in an extreme way, but it is something that the children need to think about. This is a christian camp and their mission is for each child to know God and know where they will be when they die. My child told me about the story and it sparked a conversation about my faith with him.

After a week of fun actvities (1 swimming bc someone peed and then a nose bleed) and church services that are too long for adults (over an hr plus 20 mins of mandatory bible reading), he was scared to death by Counselor Daniel who decided to "scare them to God" & came home upset. The lights were turned out at bedtime & he had them imagine their family was coming (night before pickup) and they got in a car wreck when they pulled out then he dropped a chair. Then proceeded to say " Now what do you think would happen"?? And went on to freak them out over Hell and Heaven. I called as we were driving home and spoke to the Assistant Director who offered no help and asks "well..what do you want me to do?" *We speak openly in our home, but I do also believe things are a process.I will say his immed counselor was great. But, I was not trying to have my sons faith and relationship with Jesus wrecked by some religious people. Apparently this did not happen to all the campers. Jesus > Religion
