I camped here as a boy in 1972. Now I've camped here as a BSA leader for the last 14 years. The place is the same with many improvements ( and more to come ). The Old Hickory Council has a gem and they know it, they are improving areas each year. Come and check out the New Climbing Tower, the New Rifle Range, and the new Archery Range. The Health Lodge is 1st rate. The Dining Hall can serve and seat more than 900 campers in 15 minutes ( and the food was even better this year). Next year the camp will have a new Dock and Swimming area. The weather is Great too. They even have WiFi in the Scoutmasters' Lounge. A week spent here is a vacation for most Old Scouters.

Best all around Scout Camp that I have seen in my 34 years of Scouting.... The staff at the camp are interested in whether their week long residents are enjoying the experience. Food is standard camp food... Facilities are well maintained.....

I have never experienced a finer Scout camp in my 34 years of Scouting. The staff is attentive and has positive artitude, beautiful scenery, great program. Keith Bobbitt has a lot to be proud of. Let's hear it for Old Hickory Council! The food could be improved and flush toilets at campsites might be a good improvement.

Camp Raven Knob is by far the best Scout camp on the east coast in my opinion. i have gone there three years for scout camp , and numerous times for other events. I am now on staff there, and we are all very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Our waterfront is great. Please come by CRK this summer!

Raven Knob is a camp that has the best of everything a Scout could ask for. The Wednesday nite vistitors night campfire is held in a brand new 2500 modern ampitheatre and the best Order of the Arrow Native American dance pageant around. Food is typical camp food but the program and staff are great. There is a new mountain man frontier type program way back in the wilderness part of camp that is awesome. Lots of tradition at this camp, well worth money and your scouts will not be disappointed. Our Scouts want to go back!

The staff at Raven Knob are very knowledgeable and well trained. They show loads of enthusiasm and really enjoy what they do. The facilities are top notch. The camp has numerous hiking trails from leasurly strolls to extreme mountain hikes with great views. There is a lake with swimming and boating, and the camp owns all the surrounding watershed which leads to the lake, so the water is pure and clean. I guess the only drawback is that during summer camp they tend to accept too many people. It tends to get a little crowded around meal times. Great place to spend a weekend camping trip too. It has been around for awhile and there is a lot of history there.
