My daughter Allison attended this camp last summer - it was her first time away from family, and she changed her mind at the last minute to stay over - the staff were able to get her a space with no notice! The teachers were all young women scientists working on advanced degrees, and really enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with the girls. Allison had a WONDERFUL time, and was really excited meeting other girls who shared her interests. The girls were very well taken care of and supervised. There were activities in the dorm every night, and girls were not distracted by all the electronica that inhibit human connections. They were able to really focus on their work and have fun at the same time. When we picked her up at the end of the week, the first thing she asked was to go back this year! She loved Berkeley (her grandpa went there), but this year she's trying Stanford. The combination of great role models, interesting work, and fun make this camp REALLY worth it!
