This camp is amazing. Each year my children come back more independent and confidant than they left. The second session offers amazing diversity and my child love meeting new campers from all over the tri-state area and world.

Run by dishonest people. They had about 70% capacity, so they decided to get tax credits by allowing inner city youths attend for free. That is not something that you hide from parents. They also refused to answer me, before camp started, about how many 8 year old boys there were. Well the answer was 0, and by not answering me, I felt that was being pretty elusive.

TLW has truly created a community of people who are passionate about making camp a positive experience for every single camper. The values program (STARFISH) is integrated into the camp atmosphere and it is clear that campers and counselors alike have a deep love for their Timer Lake West family.

all my friends decided one year to go here. they all returned having hated it more than anything. apparently all it was was a bunch of super rich girls being rude. would not recommend.

Without going into specific details, as I know kids view this site, I was severely traumatized by my summer here many years ago. It was the first sleep away camp experience I had ever had, and it was also the last. I am 30 now, and I was a camper here at age 8, so I assume the same people aren't running it, which is a good thing. I just hope their policies have changed as well. A very happy, well adjusted child started camp, but a very different child came home from it. I know that not all campers had my experience ; my cousin, for instance, had a great time when he went a year before me. But the experience was so bad for me that now, 22 years later, I still am not over it. Parents, PLEASE be careful who you let take care of your kids for the summer.

This camp is great!! My first year was fun but I have to say, I had a better time the next year!! There are so many great kids there!! Sometimes the activities can be annoying and so are the counselers but all together its really fun. I give it a thumbs up, you should totally send your kids here!

kids were so rude!!! at least all the girls born in 1997 are jappy!!! the activities were awesome and so were the counselors but, 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999% were from long island and japppppppppppppyyyyyyyyyyyy

this is the best camp - everyone is fabulous, the staff LOVE the kids and the kids feel like home. there is something for everyone. my kids have spent 3 summers there and will probably stay until their last moment and return as counselors

WWWWOOOOOOWWWWWW TLW is the best camp in the world all the fun packed into 4 weeks! you have memeriess of a life time and make a bunch of new friends!! tlw is NOT jappy so dont say it is nobody even cares how u look when u walk out of the bunk in the inside it only matters whats ur attuitude. Soooo if u are looking for the summer or a life time TLW is the camp to go tooo!!!!

My son went to this camp for the first time last year. He came home LOVING the camp and counting down the days until this summer. He had an amazing summer. I have dealt with Nancy (head for girls) even though I have a boy and she is THE BEST! Very caring and Luke is head for the boys and also WONDERFUL I have only good things to say about this camp...no, only Great things! TLW ROCKS!

This will be my third year. Always have a great time. Was sick one time, medical staff was great. I go second session. Love it, consider it my home away from home. You learn things you will keep with you for your entire life.

Timber Lake West.Not just a camp . a home. Were people join together and make lifelong friendships. Leaving camp is sad but I know that friends will be sure to camp back for a great summer at Timber Lake West! OMG I luvvv TLW its my home away from home. I despise evryone on this list who says they hate it the staff if great u make BFFS and you have a blast!! I wish I could spend all year there so much good things 2 say evryyear on the first day I cry of joy and on the last day i cry of sorry.

Great friends from different places, new oppurtunities to meet people, counslers from America and everywhere else, great choice of activities from arts to mountain biking to rock wall to traditional team sports. Best place on Earth. Will go back again and again. Expensive, but great monetary value because it is totally worth it. B-11 1st session 2007, best bunk in camp.

i went to this camp for 4 years. these were probably the best summers of my life. I have to admit, around the 4th summer , my friends started to turn on me. i ended up not going back to tlw, but that was my own opinion. this camp was life. the counselors were very nicee and understanding and the head staff was always lending a helping hand. This is an extremely safe camp where all of the fun is packed into 4 weeks. i made amazing friendships and memories that will last a life time. you will feel safe sending your child to tlw, i know my parents did. it is a place of friendship, laughter, memories and fun. TLW IS the BEST sleepaway camp<3

I went to this camp for a year, and hated it soo much. All the girls in my bunk were so unbelievably jappy and rude, and once when we actually got to play a sport, which was soccer, the ball was kicked to a girl and she picked it up! This was first session, where the girls are cliquey and obnoxious, but my friend loves second session. After such a horrible summer i went to trails end, and now i love it there.

i have been going to timber lake west for many years and found that it has really changed me. Friends i never thought i would meet are now closer than anyone else i know. the people that you meet will always stay with you and these summers have become the highlights of my year.

I can not imagine a better place to spend my childhood and much of my adult life so far. A true summer home where the only wish is that summer would never end. The people and the place are truely one of a kind.

timber lake west is the best camp a kid could ask for =D. it was my first summer this year and i'm definately coming back. i love how it is a four week camp, and you can choose session one or two. i made so many friends, and i can not wait until summer of 2007. COLLIGENTS OF 07 BABY . CAN'T WAIT. <3i love you tlw.

it was my first summer at tlw, and i got homesick a lot my counslors ignored me and told others to ignore me to, at least my friends helped me out and got nancy who is the best!!!! she really helped me through it all. im not sure that i will go back, i made great friends but i dont want to go through the same homesickness again.

I have been at this camp for many many many years. Started at a little one and moved my way up the ranks and have worked there now forseveral summers. I love it. My home away from home. Great way to meet freinds from all over the world. Seriously, a great place.
