This was AMAZING! I loved being there, even if it’s only one session! Woodshop was fun I rode a zipline for the first time! The reason why I rated all of them six stars is because I like the camp. Three meals a day are good and I had so much fun and I made a lot of friends. I recommend coming to the camp.

Boy… Unplugged. My son just finished two weeks at Camp Quinebarge and he wants more. It was his first ever sleep over camp and his first time away from his mom for more than a week. He grew more independent and learned new things from his counselled and cabin-mates. He made new friends both human and equine. He swam every day and enjoyed all of the other activities, like wood shop, ceramics and sports. It was a joy to pick him up after the experience. Two weeks without screens - no phone, no computer, no Nintendo - did wonderful things. I heartily recommend unplugging any child from electronics and plugging them into nature and friendships at Quinebarge.

Our son Aidan's second summer at camp did not disappoint ! He had the best time. Our usually picky eater ate at every meal and even tried foods out of his comfort zone and. He loved the staff and told us how much they helped him whenever he needed it. The staff went above and beyond to make him feel safe and comfortable and they helped, this once nervous mom, relax and know her son was in good hands while away from home. The camp activities gave him a chance to explore things he's never tried and he loved all of them! When he came home he hasn't stopped communicating with the friends he's made. Camp Quinebarge and their staff have given him memories and experiences he will cherish for his whole life. He can't wait for next summer!

Both our kids absolutely loved Camp Quinebarge. We chose this camp for it's down to earth style and found that it certainly was the happy place the kids were looking for. Our son loved boating and hiking, our daughter loved arts and swimming. Very much looking forward to 2021!Best camp around

This camp is amazing! The grounds are meticulously kept and the staff are all genuinely nice and caring. There are so many different activities that there is something for everyone. My daughter got to try so many different things she normally would not have access to. For what you pay to what you receive the parents win out on this! Every dime is well spent on this camp!

This was my first time going to sleep away camp and I was a little nervous. Right away the counselors made me feel comfortable and helped me make new friends. I loved all the cabin activities, trying new things (woodworking, tennis), and the food was awesome. I can't wait to go back next year and stay longer! And I told my little brother to come, too!

We love Camp Quinebarge! Our 2 boys have gone 3 years in a row and will be back next year. Neither wanted to go away to camp the first year and then didn't want to leave when we went to pick them up! The co-directors are fantastic and the whole staff really cares about the kids and their experience. The place is idyllic - just what you'd picture for a New England camp, with traditions going back ~100 years. No phones, just conversation and fun and activities. Both boys have made life long friends with the great group of kids at Camp Q. Our oldest, in particular, was having a rough time before starting camp, and the camp has made a huge difference in his social life, confidence and outlook. We are so glad we were able to provide this opportunity for our kids. I can't say enough good things about the camp and the positive impact it has had for our family- if you are looking for camp for your kids/teens, you can't go wrong here.

This summer I was looking for a meaningful job. I came across Camp Quinebarge, and it’s the best thing that’s happened to me in awhile. I have never worked at a summer camp before so I was a tad hesitant, but the owner and the directors made the hiring process so easy. They really made me feel a part of the Camp Quinebarge family. I really love that they are open to the staffs ideas and want everyone’s voice to be heard! I have talked to a lot of this summers staff and everyone is so kind! Camp Quinebarge is going to make this summer the best summer I have ever had! I can’t wait!

Camp Quinebarge is a really special place. We were very hesitant to send our daughter away for rookie week last summer, but she has grown so much since her camp experience. She made friends that she has kept in touch with since coming home, and we actually just had a play date with one of her camp friends a couple of weeks ago. They are excited to return for the same two week session this coming summer. What we appreciate most about Camp Q is that it's small. It feels quaint and cozy, like a home away from home. They also offered horseback riding, which is the main reason my daughter wanted to go. She loves horses, and I know she got to spend a lot of time riding last summer. I'm no longer hesitant to send her, as I know she's in great hands at Camp Q, where the staff will take good care of her, and will support her, making it a wonderful experience for her.

My son became part of the Quinebarge family as a camper 3 years ago when he was 9. The weeks he spends at Camp Q each summer are his favorite for the year. Every year he makes new friends while getting the change to reconnect with returning campers and staff. Camp Quinebarge is a great camp. The food, the cabins in the woods, the activities, and all the people make camp a truly special place. Every time I drop off my son I secretly wish to be a child again so I can stay as well. It's a wonderful place to unplug from the busy structured world to let your child grow independently in the beautiful outdoors.

Camp quinebarge is a truly special place that has stood for Generations as somewhere a child can safely experience adventures, fun times, and friendships that will last a lifetime. Aside from living in a beautiful little cabin with new friends, every day brings new adventures. From mountain climbing to boating, to horseback riding children find Days filled with fun, and beautiful peaceful nights. I was a camper 35 years ago and Camp Q is still a home away from home for me. I love Camp so much I actually had the honor of marrying my wife and having my reception and days I'm celebrating with family and friends at Camp, off-season. I am proud to say that my nieces and nephew have attended camp for the last couple of years and they love it as much as I did back then. Even on rainy days activities like arts and crafts bring home Treasures that saved over time become heirlooms. It's hard to measure the value of an experience as an enriching as a summer at Camp Q.

My name is Fletcher and i like camp Quinebarge. an outdoor experience in nature, it is practically like camping! It is a very fun experience in nature! My favorite class was Nature. I also liked boating, Camp Quinebarge also offers you a variety of skills to learn! Example, You learn to overcome the fear of heights in the high ropes coarse (optional, of course). They give you three meals a day and dessert! I am only 13 and have been at camp for 2 years. the counselors are very nice. they will help you with all your problems. the counselors are freaking awesome! Also you will make great friends! I would like to thank Eric Carlson (owner of the camp) and my mom for such a great opportunity. It is totally fun and i would recommend sending your kids there!

In the many years I attended camp quinebarge I made friends that I interact with to to this day. It was the first place I ever climbed a mountain, pet a skunk, learn to kayak, went to a dance, did pottery, did woodworking, and to many more to mention. Very few places these days have the heart that camp quinebarge does they truly care about your child's experience and wish them well. As a former monkey town mayor urge you to send your children here for a truly life-changing experience.

While attending camp Quinebarge I made friends for life. I continued to go to Quinebarge going thru the CIT program to a counselor. While going to all the activities I also learned skills That I still use today. They offer so many things it’s hard to say what was my favorite. From the waterfront to the stables & day trips hiking! There’s something for everyone!

As a cabin counselor and Waterfront Director I learned valuable skills and fostered amazing friendships that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend Quinebarge for any child, teen, or young adult!

Camp Q has become a summer tradition for my three children, who will be returning for a third summer in 2018. The smaller camp size and staff to camper ratio provides a high level of interaction amongst campers and counselors. My children have formed lasting friendships with fellow campers and look forward to seeing their friends the following year-they don’t want to come home! My children enjoy selecting their favorite activities and the opportunity to try new activities (such as paddle board yoga and wall climbing). They are able to just be kids and be worry free during their stay. Each year the camp finds ways to make the upcoming year better than the one before, and my children count down the days until the next summer. They love wearing their Quinebeads, and upholding camp traditions. My children have become part of the Camp Q family and their camp experiences have helped them to truly understand the meaning of camp and being a kid-they can’t wait until the next summer!

Camp Quinebarge is a special place. It always draws you back, the people you meet are both eclectic and interesting, and easily become friends for life. The staff is professional and a solid unit by the time the campers arrive. The activities are fun and informative, with regular updates to equipment and attention to detail in all the facilities. Safety and cleanliness is paramount and it shows. The memories I have from camp will stay with me forever and I am friends to this day with many amazing people far and wide because of the bonds made at Quinebarge. It has help myself, and countless others be better people in so many senses and stimulates interests in things you never knew you had. An amazing place for new young campers, and older experienced campers alike, would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a fun summer by the lake.

Camp Quinebarge was an experience of a lifetime for my 10 year old son! He was able to enjoy the outdoors, make wonderful lasting friendships and just be a boy for 3 weeks this past summer!
Life is so structured and kids are constantly being supervised and incredibly busy these days. I think it is invaluable for my son to get away from rushing from one activity to the next and constantly being told what to do and how to do it.
Camp Quinebarge is an incredible opportunity with so many activities he doesn't normally get to do (swimming in a lake, boating, woodworking, hiking up mountains, horseback riding, rock climbing, dances, making up skits and enjoying evenings by the campfire). Being able to live in a beautiful wooded setting on a crystal lake with kids his own age allowed him to develop confidence and gave him time to reflect and regroup. He came home refreshed, exhausted, dirty and full of stories that he will never forget!

I've been a member of the Quinebarge family since 2005, when I first attended as a camper. As a kid, I loved the activities, the counselors, you name it! I was encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and try new things, and supported whether I succeeded or not.
I returned as a counselor during college, working on the waterfront at first, as well as in other roles. More recently, I have provided lifeguarding and cpr/aed/first aid training, and I can say that Quinebarge's staff are some of the most dedicated, knowledgeable, and well trained camp counselors. Every member of staff puts the campers' experience, and safety, first.
Campers at CQ learn life skills, unplug, make lifelong friendships, and experience unique aspects of camp life, all in a beautiful natural environment.

My son has been going to Quinebarge for four summers and loves it more every year. He has made incredible friends and learned valuable lessons, including independence and responsibility. The staff are wonderful and ably led, keeping a close eye on each camper and their needs. The activities are fun and Quinebarge is an old school traditional summer camp, with horses, hiking, sports, arts, nature and more and lots of singing and cabin bonding. Campers make great friends and keep in touch during the off year. Look no further, we love Quinebarge and you and your child will too.

Camp Quinebarge is a wonderful place for a child to learn, play, grow, and achieve. I sent my 8 year old daughter to Camp Q for two weeks last summer and she had the time of her life! She begged me to return to camp this year, and this time she wants to go for a month! The truth is that she wants to spend the entire summer at Camp Quinebarge making new friends, learning new skills, and embarking on new adventures, but I am not ready to let her go for that long. Luckily, Camp Q is very flexible with their camp dates, allowing families to pick the weeks that work best for their families. My daughter's wonderful experience at Camp Quinebarge has had a positive influence on her development of cooperation skills, relationship skills, and self-confidence. These things were nurtured at camp Q, and that nurturing had a positive effect that continued throughout the year. I highly recommend that you send your daughters and sons to Camp Quinebarge. They will make memories last a lifetime.

I love having this camp for my children to be in nature all day and breathing in fresh mountain air all night. I particularly like that they forget about electronics for the whole time they are there. They are too busy swimming, boating, doing woodwork, playing sports, horseback riding, singing, hiking, and camping out, not to mention having fun with friends. They have friends they can't wait to connect with every year and are sad to see leave. The staff is engaging and fun and each one knows all the kids, including the director who has known everyone by day 2. I can't imagine a more ideal summer experience for my kids.

My 5 kids went over the Summer for their first "sleep away" camp experience and they came back happy and full of wonderful stories to tell. Camp Q gave them the opportunity to be with people from different parts of the world and The United States, that alone was fascinating for my kids. It is difficult to find a place that can make a 14,12,10,8,6 year old kids equally happy. They told me that they were always busy with something fun to according to everyones age and likes. The kids were very active with hiking , swimming, horseback riding and sports. They came back full of confidence and new friendships. Camp Q really have a great balance of group activities, personal and resting time. When we went to pick them up they were happy, relaxed and rested but you could tell that they followed routines, respect rules and had grown their self-discipline. We took a great decision to send our kids to Camp Q and will recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I was a camper at Quinebarge in the mid-2000's and have worked on staff more recently. From day one, Quinebarge became my second home by offering a wonderful program that made me (and others) feel accepted and empowered. As a camper, whether I was in swim lessons or my chosen activities (horseback riding, boating, archery, and woodshop were my favorites!), I learned a lot and became a more confident person through my experiences. Some fave memories include making it to the highest swim level and overcoming my fear of heights, with some encouragement from the amazing staff, while completing the High Ropes course. Knowing that the owner is an alum who loves CQ as much as I do, and is committed to keeping it amazing, is simply great. I fully recommend Quinebarge, and if I have kids in the future, I'll be signing them up for the full summer.

My son has attended Camp Quinebarge each of the past 3 summers. He loved every minute of it. First and foremost, the staff is wonderful with the children. Hands down the most important factor for me. That being said, the location is magical, lake front under a beautiful tree canopy in the foothills of some of the most majestic mountains on the east coast. The activities are great, water sports, land sports, awesome field trips; I am jealous every time I leave him behind. Finally the sense of community, family and belonging is fantastic. And the plaques in the dining hall are a must see.

My son went to this camp and one of his counselors was fired during his stay and the other one MOONED another counselor in front of my son. When we brought this up to the staff we were basically told that our son must be lying. This is a very concerning violation. I'm concerned and my son will not return. This was not handled properly. I am very disappointed.

Both of my children went to this camp in jr high and high school years. My son is now 26 yrs old and still talks about how he loved this camp. He remains friends with some of his co-campers. When he returned home from camp he would help around the house and carry packages without me asking for help. Thumbs up for whatever they did to my children. I think they instilled a sense of self-confidence and initiative in my children.

I went to this camp as a day-camper because I happen to live only a few miles down the road. It was a great experience, as the majority of the overnight campers are from overseas. Most of them come from countries like France, Germany, Russia, Spain, and many more. The counselors also come from all over the world. Some campers do not speak English, or have a heavy accent so it can be difficult to communicate at times. You can sign up for your own schedule of activities including archery, rock climbing, arts and craft, woodshop, and many more. There are two swimming times for day-campers, swim lessons and free swim. Lessons were required, which I definitely didn't like. The water was often full of leaves a nd we were made to get diving sticks and such - without goggles. And you had to go in, even if you didn't have a suit. I found the counselors uncompassionate and demanding. I didn't enjoy the swimming at all. Free swim, you weren't allowed to sit on the dock. Lake, or shady beach. C+
