went in the early 1970s- was amazing 850 acres-very down to earth people. had great facilities and fun activities. good mix of supervision and freedom. Some very funny characters like Marty the rabbi/tennis guy also rena from Zena bohemian type arts and crafts.fabulous color war. Once got a crop duster to throw color war teams and agenda out to kids! So many memories

went to the camp in the early 1970s and it was a wonderful experience! a good mix of supervision and some time to yourself. Tennis, bowling, go carts, arts and crafts were standouts. excellent spirit and fun! Large camp with a lot of choices of friends. the PA system added a lot of fun too! The music, announcements and camp spirit were off the charts.

Big mistake to have ever been there. Most of the campers are spoiled, entitled rich kids and the counselors/staff are forced to do whatever the campers want and the entire staff has no authority at all.....the kids rule the kingdom. And....if you are not a rich, spoiled kid, you become the butt of all the jokes and are bullied until you finally get your parents to come and get you.I was there as a camper and as staff....was NOT a pleasant summer experience.

Yep, it was all that bad. I was bullied and you could say I was the "bunk fall guy". A counselor hurt her back and accused me of doing it, which I didn't. What else...oh right..a "nature" counselor shot and killed a rabbit and we were forced to watch it being dissected. Who wants to pay good money to a place like this.

I don't know what else to say but: This was by far the best camp my family and I have ever attended. The staff was like family, the facilities were exactly what we needed, the planning and scheduling were well thought out and executed, and the campers were like brothers and sisters. Some of my greatest childhood memories came from Camp Olympus! This camp will re-open and I will send my children there some day!
