This was not a camp I enjoyed. The bathrooms were gross, there were so many bugs, and dragonflies were in the classrooms. None of the rooms had doors, even though it was an indoor class. I liked the writing part and I also found rose quartz crystals, which I enjoyed. The plays were cool though. Once we had a puppet play. Bathrooms are gross and people always write on the walls that somebody died in there. That scared me as a kid.

This camp is really amazing! Let me teach you how to enjoy yourself here. First off, this is my second year and this year was SO much better than last summer, everything about it! Sign up for 7 weeks, Animation Major, either Chess or Comic Art Minor (I liked them both), and Archery recreation. I swear you will enjoy yourself as we made a 2.5 minute film in animation and chess is an air conditioned room and comic art is with Maurice, who you can't get any cooler than. Archery is fun because you can choose not to do it and just chill out if you're signed up for the class. Overall, go to this camp and sign up for what I just told you and you will have the summer of your life the way I did! WARNING: We have a new camp director now. The old one was Dale Lewis, who no one can beat. This new director is not good but the camp itself is good so I'll give it that.

camp usdan was where i made a lot of good friends who i have kept in touch with even when i left i was an art major and my friends were music majors but i still saw them during assemblies and recreation. the assemblies were hit or miss depending on what the performance was. the classes were good i got a lot out of them and sadly i was only there for 4 weeks most of my friends were 7 weekers. the games hoops and nets was mostly good except for the exercises and attendance games which no one liked, but when they gave us our own time it was pleasant. a lot of time is dedicated to what the students want, like the bus, assemblies and whatnot. the bus was the only part of the day i didn't like because i had like no friends there but other than that, i like usdan. i might try music next time but no matter what you try doing there it's fairly easy to make friends. would recommend this camp, it will be worth it

I went here a couple of years ago, and the camp itself was overall very good. The programs are great, and the staff really does try to help the students. My only issue was the kids, but I was in theater, which has more of the snobbish and catty kids, but there were PLENTY of nice kids in theater too. If your child wants to go to an arts camp, Usdan is a pretty good option.

Usdan is very good. The programs are very intense, but i made it through the summer knowing a lot more than i did when i started. the only down side is the teachers can be a little grumpy. otherwise, there are many up sides to the camp. one is that you get a lot of excersise because you are walking a lot

IT WASNT NECISSARILY A BAD CAMP. I MEAN I GOT PICKED ON AND ONLY HAD LIKE 1 FRIEND THERE. THE DAY FELT SO LONG BECAUSE OF THE WALKING. AND AMPHITHEATHER WAS BORING MOST OF THE TIME FOR ME. ALSO I FELT LEFT OUT AND I DIDNT LEARN MUCH. I MET A FRIEND ON THE BUS AND SHE WAS NICE. THE ONLY REASON I WOULD GO THERE IS TO SEE HER BUT I CANT BECAUSE IM GONNA BE A SENIOR AND SHES GONNA BE A MINOR AND WELL BE ON SEPERATE BUSES SO THERES REALLY NO POINT OF ME GOING. I RECOMEND THIS FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN STAND AT LEAST HALF A BORING DAY, AND DISAPOINTMENT.

I love usdan! it is a unique experience to have lunch surrounded by kids practicing their instruments. also, ilove the adorable huts in the middle of the woods. super inspiring! i have been going for 4 years and have loved it from the second i got there. My friends and i cry every last day! i wish there was usdan in the winter!USDAN IS THE BEST!

The staff at Usdan is excellent. Facilities...depend on what classes you are taking, for Musical kids they are great, for drama not as good. It's the opposite for personal attention. There are usually less kids in drama so we get more personal attention. The camp is really a great place to meet people that enjoy doing what you do.

I think most of us can say that Usdan is the best place I have ever been to. Usdan is my home and I love the enviornment, the people, and the whole day is filled with doing things you love (maybe not assembly!!) This will be my third year!!

this camp has given me the best expieriences of my life. everyone becomes a family. on the last day everyone is in tears because they will miss it so much! there is no place else like it. "lose yourself for a summer, find yourself for a lifetime"

Usdan is my favorite place and it has really changed my life forever. I met some of my best friends there and i know that they will last for a life time. I believe that the motto is 100% true. You really do loose yourself for a summer and find yourself for a lifetime!

I LOVE USDAN! I have taken so many different classes in so many different departments, and they were all great! My best friend and I became best friends there, and we both have been going for years. We have so much fun at USDAN and look forward to it every summer.

This class is absolutely amazing. It changed my life, and my career ideas. Mrs Gates should've been allowed to stay though! Mrs Benedict is really rude...but everyone else is amazing! They were the best six summers of my life, and if i could, i would still go there! it was worth the commute from CA to NY and then TX to NY! I love you Sibel, Nelson, STEPHANIE, SIKAVI, JEREMY, and all the rest. Tom the swim instructor...i'm sure you don't need to be told, but you are an amazing diving instructor! love to all, from the big splash queen of canopeners!

Usdan is a very prestigeous camp for the creative and the Performing Arts. I have been going to usdan for 4 years and have all ready signed up for my fifth year. Usdan is an amazing place for meeting people and making new friends. I have made freinds here that i am sure i will continue to have for maybe even the rest of my life. The shows can be phenomenoul and so so, but it all depends on the cast. But over all Usdan is an excellent camp. O and P.S for the girl who said Greece was good, It sucked the talent was absolutelly****ndous, and u didn't get the lead because its ur first year of musical theater its because u suck. I have gotten the lead every year including my first. SO take that! Usdan is fair in the auditions and every one gets the part they deserve. Over all it is a remarkable camp with an amazing arrey of kids from all over the city, and a faculty with allot of experience in Musical theater. Usdan is heaven on earth for a theater geek like me.

The best camp I've ever been to. For ppl that love the arts, this is a camp for you. The teachers are very amazing and they really make a difference in your performance. The scenery of the camp was beautiful. This camp was the best part of my summer vacation. =)

This camp is the best camp ever this is my fifth year and i love it soo much. I have so much fun in the perfoorming arts and i love to see all my friends. The pools are really cold though but i still love Usdan. Did you know the ll cool j's son went there and Mariah Carey. The best camp ever.

be prepared for an unbelievable summer- this camp is a haven for anyone who thrives on creativity. It has a laid-back feel, the grounds are huge and gorgeous, and kids get to be counselor-free. Best for ages over 10.

Usdan was a pretty memorable experience. Other than the pool being freezing and no air conditioning, it was really fun. Mostly. I remember that by the end of the day I was tired, and the assemblies got a bit boring. In fact, I came home a little disappointed. But as the years rolled on I noticed that in four weeks I had progressed more than I do in a school year. A couple of years later my class was being taught stuff that I had learned at usdan. I think that really made me appreciate this camp.

I have been at Usdan for 2 years, soon it will be my 3rd. Usdan has brought so much joy to my life. It's staff are unbelievably kind and the phisilities leaves you astound. Every day I arrive with a smile on my face and a glimmer in my eyes except for the last day, when nothing but tears come out. To express how wonderful Usdan is would be impossible.

I HATED USDAN! IT WAS THE WORST PLACE EVER! if i was raining in the summer they made us walk in the rain because we have to walk so far to get to different classes! it's so annoying! the show of grease came out good but i still hated hated hated it b/c they only gave the ppl who have been to the camp b4 the leads. and also.. we had to do fire drills even though if there actually was a fire all of the trees around you would go up in a fire instantly!

Go usdan! I made soo many friends when I went to usdan. The other kids a so cool, and the staff is really nice. And they don't get mad at you when you skip assembly to be with your friends. Usdan is a GREAT place.

Absolutely gigantic campus. There's something for (almost) everyone. The counselors are all great, although there are some minor problems higher up on the food chain. It's a bit on the expensive side, but you get every last bit of what you pay for. Oh, and assembly gets boring quickly.

USdan is a great camp. i took orchestra and theater this year and it was so much fun. my directors and my conductors were very nice to me and always asked for the opinions of te group. this made everything fun. swim was also fun - i learned a lot. paying for usdan is really worth it - you can have fun, make friends, and pick your own activities. When you perform, act, write a story, paint a picture, or dance, you feel great. I really enjoy usdan!

This was my 4th summer at Usdan, and I intend to keep going there till i'm too old to. Usdan Theater is literally a force of nature. Theater Majors are in for the best summer of their lives, from the profesional staff to the awesome sets to the talented people, it's just amazing. period. Casts become families and The Last Day Cabaret never fails to send everyone of us Drama Queens (and kings) to tears. The thought of Usdan keeps me going throughout the school year. THIS IS THE BEST CAMP EVER.

Wonderful camp. Too far of a commute from Manhattan each day. My son really liked being there (my daughter didn't love it) but both kids felt the time on the bus to and from wasn't worth it. I won't send my youngest there.

This camp is the BEST! If you love arts, this is the perfect camp 4 u. It has dance, art, music, drama, recreation, swimming, and tennis! Its a little bad on rainy days, but you can just bring an umbrella. There is a show everyday, half the summer profesionals and half students. Its in the woods and it is beautiful. You have your own schedule, and NO COUNSOLERS. It is very independant. Also, the kids in your classes like at least one thing in common with you and everyone gets along great. This is my 4th year going and Im going to go as long as I can. Also, they have music drop off, so if you have an insturment, you drop it off there and then pick it up when you are walking to the bus. You can't buy lunch, but it doesn't really matter. You eat outside on the picnic tables and there are soda machines too. The bathrooms are kinda gross, but you get used to it. The teachers are so nice and you become really good friends with all of them. I don't have one bad day there :)

Staff are ussually specialize teachers who are very relaxed. Not the cleanes place, its in the middle of the woods, but well maintained better than a McDonalds. You choose your own courses, so not only are they fun, students are only people who want to be there. Small classes. Daily performances from professionalls unitll last few weeks, then students perform, and are amazing. Better results than from music and art classes in school.
